"Rooting for patriotism."

The new podcast is up — which means that you can eavesdrop on me reading this morning's posts (and last night's last post) to Meade and doing some extra commentary and some real-world conversation with Meade:

You can listen right there, but it's also nice to subscribe. Search for "The Althouse Podcast" on iTunes or use this RSS feed. I'm here on Breaker, here on Google Podcasts, here on Overcast, here on Pocket Casts, here on RadioPublic, and here on Spotify.

For papa and mama, the spirit and the body, for patriotism and nation, equal and complementary.

I'm more of a "Rooting for Liberty" guy, but whatever.

So, Kayleigh McEnany has tested positive. By the rules of the progressives in the media, all of the reporters at any of her briefings in the last three days should be under strict quarantine......right? Am I right? I am betting none of them are quarantined now or in the next week awaiting a test result. Just sheer hypocrisy at work.

Meade needs more lines. Also, you could have a wacky neighbor pop in now and then.

Didn't you hear the wacky neighbor barking?

tcrosse म्हणाले...

Your wacky neighbor could be rooting for truffles.

Yancey Ward म्हणाले...

You shouldn't root for truffles- they never win.

What did you mean by "reaching an entropy point" several minutes into the podcast? I'm curious because my formal training in chemistry fills out that word in other ways which conflict with your usage. I take your use as a correct and current but I still don't follow.

This keeps reminding me of the co-worker who was in NZ for a balloon launch. He was telling the locals how the (American) football fans "rooted" for the home team. "Rooted" has a slang meaning in NZ... Yes, just what you thought it meant.

I can't hear Meade very well. Just saying uh-huh?

Is he doing Silk to your Diamond? Or working toward Glenn Beck & Stu sort of thing?

Rooting being Australian slang for sexual intercourse

It's under iTunes news/politics. I suppose they made that determination.

Rooting for patriotism:

"Go, USA!"

Rooting for nationalism:

"Just close your eyes, my dear, and think about the British Empire".

Unknown म्हणाले...

"Why is the Wombat the most Australian of all animals? Because; he eats roots and leaves."
