We just watched Josh Donaldson be himself in the Sunday Night Baseball Game. The ESPN interviewer after the game asked him if he believed in UFOs. He gave a thoughtful answer that did not back down.
Here's a twist, tradguy, Bob baer was skulking around dealey plaza where he debunked the second gunman theory but then still drifted into Olivers stone territory with another Dallas connection, which a source pointed out to him, still led to fidel.
Darn it. I thought Liz Warren was an honest politician. What a revoltin' development this is.

The JFK hit is still Top Secret. No one will ever be allowed to know how 7 bullets from 3 directions came out of Oswald's rifle in 3 seconds. I was not there myself, as Josh Donaldson said tonight. He had never seen a UFO himself. But he had heard others had that he believed. And he did not ever want to see one.
The Donald crashed a wedding reception at Bedminster tonight. There were many happy deplorable people.
Baer used cutting edge forensics that proved the bullet came from the depository, not the daltex building and certainly not the grassy knoll, he used audio analysis to solve the latter issue.

Notice that even Inga can generate an HTML link in her comments. Please don't just give up after only a single try or two.
If you're having trouble getting it to work (it's extremely easy to make such links, but you've got to know which characters to put where), then simply practice a few times (on, say, an Althouse cafe post), then delete your mistakes. Then you'll have it.
Here's how it works (note: omit the line endings I'm showing for clarity between sections; also, capitals vs. lower-case letters make no difference). I'm creating a link to Althouse's blog as an example:
text that precedes the link <a href="https://althouse.blogspot.com/"> text that names the link e.g. Althouse </a> text that follows the link
Which then comes out looking (in one's posting) like this (notice that the link works!):
text that precedes the link Althouse text that follows the link

There is one potential gotcha in that some operating systems (iOS was doing it for a while with iPhones and iPads) will attempt to substitute angle-quotes (“e.g.”) when you actually type straight (double) quotes ("e.g.") — if you can't see the difference, zoom in. Straight double quotes are required for surrounding the http link, as shown in the example above.
The solution to this issue (in iOS, using iOS's crappy on-screen keyboard) is to hold your finger down on the double-quote key until the subsidiary menu opens up (displaying several different types of quotes), then select the straight quote.
It will be interesting if any of the candidates in the first debate next week use that WaPo against Warren. If I were Sanders, I would definitely use it because it definitely looks like Warren has been lying about it the entire time.
I'm about halfway through War and Peace and am enjoying it far more than I thought I would. Tolstoy isn't Dostoyevsky but this is a damned interesting novel once you get past the initial chapter or two and you realize that the schemes of the aristocratic social affairs are inextricably linked with those of the military. And, of course, as with any Russian novel, getting used to the myriad names for each character. I expected it to be rather dull and it decidedly is not.

No, you don’t need to use any quotation marks what so ever when hyperlinking.
I did misinterpret. I wrote sarcasm and missed your joining sarcasm in return. Good grief, i must be getting old.

When I was working on my chemistry degree, there were these little bios in the text books when each new topic was introduced. I'm not a historian, so that is what formed my mind about the people (the old white guys again) who made and developed our modern world. Thanks for reigniting my interest in how fungi could be developed into an antibiotic. I will look into the story at some point, keeping your post in the hopper.

Beat my head against this more than once.
Not sure that works with older IOS versions. I have six IOS devices, 2 iPads and an iPhone in each category of up-to-date and obsolete OS versions (Apple tries to force you off of old hardware by refusing to update IOS for it). I do not believe that pressing the key pops up the subsidiary menu with the extra keys in the Obsolete versions of IOS. I do like the feature because both my partner’s first and last names have special marks above characters.
The other problem I have with IOS with have HTML is that it automatically capitalizes single I’s (for the nominative first person singular pronoun). If you put a lower case “i” in angle brackets, IOS will capitalize the first one, but not the second one (after “/“), and Blogger will choke. So, I use capitalized “I” in both, which is a pain.
My solution to both issues is to have a Note with all the HTML that I might need, both as a matched pair, and singularly, in pieces. With the latest IOS on iPads, you can switch applications by putting four fingers on the screen and swiping right. For HTML links, I swipe to my Notes app, copy the desired HTML, swipe back, paste, then paste in the desired text (including URLs). Works faster for me than keying in the HTML, and I don’t run into the quotes problem.
No, you don’t need to use any quotation marks what so ever when hyperlinking.
Usually, but not always. The problem is that blanks, and certain other characters, are legal in URLs, but not in HTML, unless in quotes (or other approved delimiters). The alternative solution to putting URLs with these characters into Anchor (A) HTML elements to form hyperlinks is to use escape sequences (e.g. I believe %20 for blanks). I find it much faster to copy and paste the entire HTML sequence, then paste or key the text into the desired places.

Wow. Just watched a segment on morning schmoe, about the Puerto Rico protests. 5-6 minutes about the embattled Gov.. Talked about the messages made public that put the leadership in a bad light...not a hint about the rampant corruption of the government in general or specifically the corruption that kept aid for the hurricane recovery away from the people, and filtered into the govt officials...Like President Trump explained, and was ridiculed by the Democrats for doing so.
"Iran-backed terrorist cells could be deployed to launch attacks in the UK if the crisis between London and Tehran deepens, intelligence sources have warned."

By all means, lets allow millions of foreign enemy combatants into our nation via the now official democrat party position of open borders.
And while we are at it give all these foreign 5th columnists a conplete buffet of free stuff (another fundamental policy position of the dems) to facilitate their terrorist activities.
As Bruce Hayden points out above, not using (straight double) quotes to bracket the URL in your HTML link will work sometimes, and won't work other times.
When I was working on my chemistry degree, there were these little bios in the text books when each new topic was introduced.
When I was in medical school, with each new topic, especially organ systems, a professor from Childrens Hospital who was into medical history would give a lecture on the history of that subject. It was a great introduction. They don't do that anymore. Finally, I wrote a history of Medicine for students. It took a couple of years but it is still selling on Amazon.
This was the version of Anna Kerenina I read when I was in college and again about 15 years ago. I had to read it in college for a course in Russian Literature. I loved the novel a great deal.
Real Clear Investigations reports that Inspector General Michael Horowitz will say in his upcoming report that, although James Comey told President Trump he was not a target in the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Comey had actually been spying on Trump to see if the president was colluding with Russia. If an Obama-appointed Justice Department official so concludes after a lengthy investigation, it will be devastating for Comey.
A lot of ramifications here. Fairly obviously, the head of the FBI spying on his boss, the President, from whom is derived all of his power, Constitutionally, is both illegal and insubordinate. But almost as bad is that he apparently bald faced lied to Trump. If it was illegal for Gen Flynn to lie to Peter Strzok, after McCabe set up their interview with Flynn at the White House, it was worse for Comey to tell Trump that he wasn’t being investigated, when he really was. If. You can’t lie to government officials, Trump is at the top of the list of government officials. He might be able to claim necessity, if he truly had probable cause to believe that Trump had colluded with the Russians. But, of course, Comey knew better, because he did know, by then, that the Steele Dossier was fabricated partisan rubbish, and even if he didn’t know personally (he seems very much to have known personally), the agency he headed very surely knew, and had known for better than six months, and he legally spoke for the agency. But Comey wasn’t after proving collusion- he was trying to prove Obstruction of Justice. And committed just that specific crime when he lied to the President.
For a long time, I felt that Comey was the dupe, run around in circles by his top people, esp DD McCabe, as well as DNI Clapper. I still think that was the case. BUT there are limits to how far that defense should protect him. And he crossed that by lying to the sitting President, in order to entrap him through charges of Obstruction. He was the one Obstructing Justice. He doesn’t have ultimate authority to decide that sort of thing. The first clauses in Article II give that power to one person - the President. The FBI Director only has as much discretion there as the President delegates to him. Comey may have believed himself a Boy Scout, and loyal to the Rule of Law, but he should have started by reading the Constitution, the source of all power in the US government.
AG Barr has been warned that if he doesn’t get some serious prison time for the attempted coup members, esp Comey, McCabe, and Yates, a large percentage, maybe even half the country, will not trust the legitimacy of the FBI in particular, but also the DoJ in general, for at least a generation. Those agencies operated extra legally, and extra. Constitutionally, in trying to remove a duly elected and installed President through abuse of their power. The person from whom all their legal and moral power is Constitutionally derived.
We will see if he has the fortitude and strength to do this job, or if it is already too late.

These extremophiles exist
on sand, on trees, on gneiss
Who could these star-crossed lovers be?
Why are they symbiotes?
They reproduce asexually

A fungus, a mycobiont,
is one part of the pair
It often lives all on its own:
itself, dead things, and air
The other love, photobiont
can turn light into food
The trick is photosynthesis
a skill that’s pretty shrewd
Photobionts can be algae
sometimes cyanobac
Some lucky fungi can have both
at once, and that’s a fact
But what is this? A third partner?
Another fungus, yeast?
This ‘silent partner’ does provide
some toxic chemical feasts
A trio caught between two worlds
not fungi, not algae
A composite organism

United now, this smart trio
sets out to reproduce
Small spores or fragments of themselves
are set on winds, diffuse
Some reproduce by using spores
sped off to parts unknown
The fungi that do not find mates
are doomed to die alone
Soredia, isidia
are reproductive packs
In orange, or green, or yellow hues
or purple, white, or black
O foliose! O fruticose!
O squamulose, and more!
The fungi and the algae have
so many types in store
Animals use them for their nests—
turkeys and hummingbirds
They’re almost all that reindeer eat
in winter, when they’re furred
People eat them as “famine food”
They’re not a tasty treat
They’re used in herbal remedies
in dyes, and perfumes sweet
So, once upon a time ago,
fungi, algae convince—
They fell in love, and they have been
lichen it ever since”

That's just off, I don't see any dentures in the couch anywhere. Otherwise thanks for a future camouflage tip
Brought over from another thread:
Notice that even Inga can generate an HTML link in her comments. Please don't just give up after only a single try or two.
If you're having trouble getting it to work (it's extremely easy to make such links, but you've got to know which characters to put where), then simply practice a few times (on, say, an Althouse cafe post), then delete your mistakes. Then you'll have it.
Here's how it works (note: omit the line endings I'm showing for clarity between sections; also, capitals vs. lower-case letters make no difference). I'm creating a link to Althouse's blog as an example:
text that precedes the link
<a href="https://althouse.blogspot.com/">
text that names the link e.g. Althouse
</a>
text that follows the link

She definitely needs to offer a believable and verifiable explanation for how she hasn't been lying.
Tucker Carlson on Democrats and rigged college admissions.
Or..just use http://www.easyhyperlinks.com
(might be a good link to fold into comments terms)
The ESPN interviewer after the game asked him if he believed in UFOs. He gave a thoughtful answer that did not back down.
In the same interview we find out he is a vegan. How does someone jack it 450 ft. eating bean sprouts?!
Full Moon: Shabby shiek? Not shabby chic? Although it's more amusing to think of a shabby sheik, yes? A rather shopworn Arabian tribal leader.
Mock,
You might want to read Anna Karenina, too, if you haven't already. In my estimation, it is an even better novel than War and Peace.
Yancey, I read Anna Karenina while in my teens and didn't particularly like it. But then, I don't recall there was much military action in it. ;-)
PS: And it may not have been a good translation. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

No, you don’t need to use any quotation marks what so ever when hyperlinking.
I saw this piece in Paris; it gave me chills. Glad you also were able to enjoy it.
Was it one of these:

Anna Karenina, why haven’t you read it yet? I read it when I was in my teens.
Made with no quotations marks.
@ Inga's
I did misinterpret. I wrote sarcasm and missed your joining sarcasm in return. Good grief, i must be getting old.

When I was working on my chemistry degree, there were these little bios in the text books when each new topic was introduced. I'm not a historian, so that is what formed my mind about the people (the old white guys again) who made and developed our modern world. Thanks for reigniting my interest in how fungi could be developed into an antibiotic. I will look into the story at some point, keeping your post in the hopper.
I read War and Peace in my 20’s, loved it.

Don't think it came from our house.
Surely this is a parody of bourgeois anxiety and not the genuine article.

It's a metaphor for the state of our society and, in particular, our national politics.
What is the trick when using Short URL

Very good. I very much appreciated the tutorial. Only at Althouse! btw, no quotes used

By all means, lets allow millions of foreign enemy combatants into our nation via the now official democrat party position of open borders.
And while we are at it give all these foreign 5th columnists a conplete buffet of free stuff (another fundamental policy position of the dems) to facilitate their terrorist activities.
What could go wrong?
As Bruce Hayden points out above, not using (straight double) quotes to bracket the URL in your HTML link will work sometimes, and won't work other times.

Compounding my mistaak, I had to spell-check "sheik".
I just gesture to people with "Name@930" and paraphrase. When/if I master the proper fingerings, I'll quote and link.

Until then . . .

REPORT: COMEY LIED TO, SPIED ON, TRUMP
