wildswan म्हणाले...: Reading the commentary on the British election - I can't get over the way in which Labour is analyzing its defeat. They aren't saying that the voters sent them a message and they have to listen. No - they are saying that Cameron crafted a successful lie for the voters and next time Labour needs to do a better job of thwarting Cameron's message. Labour isn't out of touch with people's aspirations, Labour has nothing to learn, Labour is wonderful, wonderful.

It's just like Wisconsin in 2010. That's exactly how the teacher's unions responded and are still responding. It's eerie. I think maybe that what people want world-wide has moved into the left's "blind spot". In car the "blind spot" is the place in a car mirror where you can't see what's coming up behind you. If you set the mirrors wrong that spot can be very large. The left just can't see what's coming up and that suggests that what is coming up is a wish for all the things the government cannot get for you and cannot stop threatening to take from you.
