"What the hell is Cross-Processing?"
Cross-processing (also known as 'x-pro') is the procedure of deliberately processing one type of film in a chemical solution intended for another type of film. As particular chemical solutions are optimized for specific kinds of film, you will get unpredictable and interesting results when they are combined differently....
The best thing about cross processing is THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE. Try as you may, it is nearly impossible to predict exactly what effect cross processing will have on your images. But this is where the fun lies. Every roll of film you develop is like a box of rabid hamsters. You never know what you're gonna get!

That doesn't make sense. You're going to get rabid hamsters. Hamsters. Rabidity. No more knowledge is germane.

They have the effect of giving nature a Maxfield Parish look. Which Parish managed to pull off quite well. Subsequent attempts are overdone.
"Film"?
My wife and I owned a photo lab for 16 years. We had some customers who wanted us to do cross processing. Running C41 process negative films through E6 process for color slide films, or vice versa. We did some. You had to be careful doing it. If you did too much of it, it could mess up the chemistry of the process.
I bought that camera a few months ago and it's pretty amazing. It's a big step up from its Lumix predecessor. It will do a ton of stuff no camera phone will do and fits easily in a shirt pocket. Videos are excellent.
