1. "U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson plans to file a lawsuit on Monday challenging a federal rule that allows members of Congress and their staffs to continue to receive health benefits similar to other federal employees."
2. "Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is suing the Obama administration over the National Security Agency’s spying practices.... 'The question here is whether or not, constitutionally, you can have a single warrant apply to millions of people... So we thought, what better way to illustrate the point than having hundreds of thousands of Americans sign up for a class action suit.'"

Good for them, especially Rand Paul.
Good for them, but I'd much rather they introduce a resolution in congress. It's well past time for the legislative branch to stand up for itself. They are as much to blame for the imperial presidency as the imperial presidents.

Reid runs the Senate. Nothing is happening there.
I wonder what it will take for democrats to realize just how much damage they've done to our nation?
PB Reader - what makes you think it hasn't been their intention?
Dear Rubes,
I'm suing Obama, will you send $10 to help us defeat the BIG government Democrats in D.C.?
" and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized"
I guess 'everywhere' and 'anything we come across' are particular enough?
I've served search warrants, and our state attorneys went to great lengths to make sure we described *exactly* where we searching, and *exactly* what we were looking for.
GM calling others "rubes". 10 out of 10 for chutzpah. 0 out of 10 for self awareness.

Just smart enough to type. Not smart enough to reason.
How soon will the NSA send out compromising emails from Paul's Gmail, and tweet naked little boys from Paul's Twitter account?

I think I know when Democrats are blowing smoke up my ass. Conservatives don't seem to be able to do the same. 40+ pointless attempts to repeal ObamaCare? They think their supporters are IDIOTS.
Reid runs the Senate. Nothing is happening there.
Boehner cries in the House. Nothing is happening there.
They are cooperating to take down their common enemies, the Tea Partiers, specifically Rand Paul, and Ted Cruz.
>>I think I know when Democrats are blowing smoke up my ass.
You voted for Obama twice. So you clearly don't.
QED
Garage: I think I know when Democrats are blowing smoke up my ass.
No, moron. You don't.
" 40+ pointless attempts to repeal ObamaCare? They think their supporters are IDIOTS."
Yes, just like the idiots that wrote that law and he regs.
Introspection is not a leftist characteristic.
Is this Johnson's attempt to regain the favor of the Tea Parties? They backed him in 2010 and since then he's Flaked and Ayotted them. Doesn't take long to surrender to the allure of the power elite in DC does it?
garage mahal believes doing the principled, useful and right thing when the Senate is controlled by the Democrats... reflects poorly on those acting on principle.
Why does it persist when it knows it is unconvincing to anybody?
Back on topic:
What will the senators do when they are informed they lack standing?
Do rank and file conservatives even know why they hate ObamaCare? I don't think they do. The real reason is the rich are paying for it, not because there are death panels, or it kills jobs, or any other shiny keys nuttiness they can whip their supporters up about.
Reasons Obama-Insurance is disliked:
1. Increased costs
2. Less choice (less freedom)
3. Disruptions of relationships with doctors
4. Likelihood of political corruption (IRS scandals)
5. Economic dislocations (price controls)
6. Centralization
a. No feedback mechanism
b. Unresponsive bureaucracy
c. Loss of incentives
7. Loss of innovation
8. Coercive
9. Hubris and arrogance
10. Lies
Gosh, this is easy.
I am sure all the above is lost on garage mahal.
Birkel: "I am sure all the above is lost on garage mahal"
Birkel, your list of particulars along with others have been out there since day 1.
Garage and the other lefty automatons simply pretend that none of the obvious and inevitable consequences of this law (once the dems allowed us to read it) have ever been articulated and itemized before.
Further, now when when all these obvious and inevitable consequences are coming to fruition they simply close their eyes and ears and say "I don't see nuffin" and continue to cling (to the bitter end) to the idea that only those rascally conservatives are noticing these adverse consequences.
It's funny watching the simultaneous and contradictory lefty meme's playing out against each other.
Recall that GM, Inga et al were all claiming that these "bad news" stories were lies, then the lies could no longer be denied so they fell back on the lefty classic "I don't know anyone these bad things have happened to" and now they moved on to argue, simultaneously, that there are no bad things happening and, well yes there are bad things happening but it's all the republicans fault because "racism".
Just wait until the employers dump 60 to 100 million working Americans into the exchanges this summer.
Just. Wait.
Drago:
That's 60 to 100 million plans. The number of people affected will necessarily be higher.
And I know garage mahal is only playing the useful idiot role. He's either a dupe or a shill. But it's fun to repeatedly show him for what he is.
Drago,
Furthermore, the consequences have been well exposed by Hayek, Buchanan and Friedman. Many can claim a rational choice* to be ill-informed.
Nobody who participates regularly on Althouse's blog has that excuse.
*I assume this joke will be lost on garage mahal, as is everything else.
"I wonder what it will take for democrats to realize just how much damage they've done to our nation?"
I wonder how long it will take for you and so many others to realize it's not just the Democrats...or the Republicans. It's all of them. With rare exceptions, they're all in liege to the enemies of America, the parasites of the wealthy class who are hollowing out America from the inside until only a dead husk remains, like jewel wasps inside cockroaches.
If the wealthy would just give us all their wealth we'd all be wealthy!
Just wait until the employers dump 60 to 100 million working Americans into the exchanges this summer.
It'll never happen. President Obama will simply issue a directive prohibiting employers from doing this.
>> I wonder how long it will take for you and so many others to realize it's not just the Democrats...or the Republicans. It's all of them. With rare exceptions, they're all in liege to the enemies of America, the parasites of the wealthy class
Oh, Cookie! You are so close! It's not the wealthy who are the problem. It's those in power who tax and borrow to reward those who put them in power.
Both parties do this. Sometimes the parasites are wealthy, sometimes the parasites are dirt poor, and sometimes they are middle class.
But the parasites all have the same one word agenda: More.
garage,
"I think I know when Democrats are blowing smoke up my ass. "
Yes, but that requires absolutely no skill or discernment, since the answer is ALL THE TIME.
