Leaf installation at Meadhouse.

Untitled

A work in progress, I'm told, but looking out the 3rd-floor window this morning, I thought the stages of leaves looked especially pretty.

In other autumn news, here's a flower in full bloom, even now:

I saw nasturtiums blooming (still!) on Friday. But they were pretty heavily frosted yesterday, might've finally killed them.

I'm breaking through
I'm bending spoons
I'm keeping flowers in full bloom
I'm looking for answers from the great beyond

For weeks ,it seems, the leaves were dark, dreary greens and equally dark burgundies. Then, over the span of a few days to maybe a week, a change in the weather, cooler temps, and those trees exploded in blazing yellows and exuberant bright reds. Yes, a change in the season and the flora is welcome. Asters are popping still, last of the broccoli and tomatoes out of the garden. Soon enough those shining leaves will be on their way to the composter and winter will be around the corner. Hmmm, time or a good stout, or two, and perhaps cigar to linger over.

Today, I looked out the window and saw mostly yellows and browns on the trees. Usually I am ready for the seasons to change; however, this year, I thought to myself, “I'm not tired of the green leaves yet.” It's sad.

Next shoe to drop if not already: 'if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.'

My pink geranium is still blooming. My honeysuckle is still green. But tonight we will have freezing temps.

Just saw on Greta, Obama reading from a note (I suppose), what he really meant when he said 'you can keep your plan..' He read (!) from a note -- it looked like he was nervous about flubbing it. {What Obama Really Meant (WORM), we had that during the Dem primary 2008}.

Obama is the president and has acted as the TV pitchman for "Obamacare," but let us not forget that it was HARRY REID who actually is responsible for the bill - all 2700 pages of it.
