"In many other Arab countries, Egyptians are known as 'ibn nukta,' or 'the son of jokes.' The sheer number of jokes from Egypt reveals the importance of humor in daily life...."

One suspects that if he hasn't yet, he probably will. Unfortunately, dictatorships have far less of a sense of humor than democracies do. He'd probably better watch his step or he may end up like that poor sap in North Korea that was executed with a mortar shell.
As for why Egyptians are considered funny in the Muslim world, it probably comes from living next to Israel for so long. Apparently some of that Jewish humor might have rubbed off on then.
How many Egyptians does it take to change a light bulb?
Two. One to change the light bulb and the other to masturbate with crocodile dung.
Arab Spring??
"It's Springtime for Morsi and Arabia,
Egypt is happy and gay,
We're marching to a faster pace,
Look Out, Shout "Allahu Akbar!"
...
(Sung to the tune of "It's Springtime for Hitler and Germany.")
