One year ago today at the Wisconsin protests: Meade encountered the cleaning crew scraping stickers off the marble.
Some interesting video, in which Meade tries to figure out just how damaging the tape was. He's able to talk to a worker, but the supervisor intervenes and even lays his hands on Meade. (This is the same man who pleads guilty later in the year for a confrontation that occurs in July, in which a protester's balloon is popped.) There's also a woman who says (about Meade): "They're filming that really well and that's what everybody in America thinks this is about — how much work it is to clean up after us." So, covering the protests, also we covered the fear that the coverage was causing.

I remember these reports. The eyes of Althouse Blog were upon the protest mob. And Citizen Meade's questions were sharp and to the point,as usual.
That was a valuable talent because a mob's actions really go screwy when a mob starts to feel people in authority approve of its bad conduct...why there could even be a reward system for doing harm the worst(like The NFL's Saints are accused of doing.)
Meade's a good guy. And a good citizen.
Be good to him, Mrs Meade. You have a good man there.
Thanks, guys.
For me, this was the most memorable post from the protests.
Whatever happened with the attorney for the Dept of Admin who proclaimed it was gonna cost over $7million to clean up the Capitol?
Nuttin' personal, but should someone be allowed to keep their job when they are THAT wrong?
Actually. One of the few things that WD40 is good for. And it won't wreck the finish.
There's obviously a need for a government office to provide appropriate tape for protesters to use.
And perhaps discounted posterboard, etc., as not everyone can afford to buy that stuff.
Reading about the judge who signed the recall petition and then granted a TRO in the ID issue, I'd have to say Governor Walker has shed light on the crazy, partisan and corrupt state judiciary. And when I lived there it was so clean.
I hope an effort is made to systematically root out these idiots, starting with Justice Abrahamson.
