I assume the libtard demand for civility is over again.

Here is a funny thing going at my house. A Robin (bird) keeps bumping into the window in my living room. Hits the glass with its beak and goes and sits on the magnolia and comes back and hits the glass again. This goes on for quite some time. At first we could not figure out where the thud was coming from and then it is the bird. Another did the same thing on the french door leading to the backyard. What is up with that? We have lived in this house for 10 years and this is the first ever time I have seen this phenomenon.

Landmark Legal Foundation (Mark Levin, President) filed an allegation of misconduct and request for investigation of the judges signing recall petitions with the WI Judicial Commission.

Is this out-of-state request something that will be taken seriously, or ignored? thanks for your humble opinions.

pm317,

I think the robin is seeing his reflection in the glass, and thinks it to be a rival, therefore the need to clash with it. Bird love...

That happened at our house quite a number of years ago, and I can't remember what we did. We may have taped newspaper up on the window for a few days (outside, and we don't live in the city so no curious neighbors), or did I make a silhouette cutout of some bird of prey? good luck, it can be annoying...and deadly for the dumb bird.

Thanks, gail. I have removed the storm window. May be I should put it back. I kept an eye on the bird. It seemed fine. But I don't want to see it hurt.

I just want to say I'm learning to despise this Instapundit clique because it's dominance is cancerous:

No one is demanding Romney be vetted but me and a few other sites - like iOwnTheWorld -and that message can't get heard with you guys all rooting for Romney and never saying shit against his actions.

Glenn Reynolds says Santorum ought to quit and it goes to millions because he actively refuses to post anyone who will argue with him. That's not only wrong ethically, but it does a disservice to the online debate and, thus, the nation as a whole.

There ARE other opinions on Romney's candidacy - valid ones - but the man who can't spot quackery leads the conversation and his willing supplicants follow suit for no other reason than they want to protect their arguments - because to really debate what's happening risks the unthinkable:

You might lose.

The whole set-up is a travesty.

That poor robin... he's got a prime location for his girl, if it wasn't for that pesky male that appears out of nowhere, lol. ;)

Personally I'd go with the bird of prey cutout, or a statue that you can rest by the door and can be worked into your decor.

On a different note:
I must say that these tiny Irises would look great in a dollhouse... (but I wouldn't have the heart to pick them.) :P

So is that little blue flower in the corner a different kind?

Would you like to see a single tiny Yukon Gold potato soaked in life-sustaining butter? This thing made an excellent snack.

I got a whole sack of these potatoes now. The thing is, a couple days ago my weight slipped to 135, which is too low. I think. That was my weight in High School and I grew two inches in height since then. Today I am just short of ten stone at 136.5 LBS, and I am still 6' tall so I figure I could probably use more potatoes and more butter. With pretty much everything. Tonight I had to punch a hole in a belt so that it didn't look like my pants are holding up my belt which was flopping around loosely on the tightest setting. Then chance brought me into contact with a woman and we conversed and interacted for quite some time. She was very helpful to me, and I swear to God she made at least four of me, she is that huge. I marveled at her backside, I examined it closely when she turned around. Impressive bulk. I wondered how many burritos a day that would take to sustain and how it was that she wasn't eating one that very moment. Surely that takes constant fueling. I'll never come close to that futzing around with these little potatoes.

In my pedestrian days, the sight of those little blooms thrusting their way into the light always gave me cheer.

The Blonde is finally getting serious about starting swimming. She's always had lots to love - in a good way, but she's agreed it's getting to the point where it's going to start hurting her back and feet if she doesn't work some of it off.

Are you sure those aren't "shooting stars" at least that's what I've heard therm called. They are native arboreal forest flowers, I believe.
It also looks like some tulips are pushing their way up.
Oak leafs. Pin and Burr?

"President Obama: Now, because of these new standards for cars and trucks, they’re . . . all going to be able to go farther and use less fuel every year. And that means pretty soon you’ll be able to fill up your car every two weeks instead of every week — and, over time, that saves you, a typical family, about $8,000 a year."

How fucking awesome is that! Especially since the average family spends $1,745 a year now! I mean because of Obama the average family will soon EARN $6,265/year just driving their cars!

Anyone else thinking that Biden i actually the smart one?

I've read and re-read the 'bad faith comments' section of yesterday's Moby! post, and it still sounds incoherent to me. Maybe law school would have helped.

Either way, it was illuminating to note the commenters who are so handicapped by their ideological filters that they become incapable of reading - or thinking - critically.

How would being a legal secretary with a mountain of college loan debt help exactly?

Curious George, I think Obama let the cat out of the bat early. He was assuming gas at $10/gallon in his calculation. That'll happen in December if he wins reelection.

Joe Schmoe म्हणाले...

Chip, I was gonna say the little flower in the lower left corner was an iris moby, but then thought better of it. I've had enough moby reading through yesterday's threads.

Joe Schmoe म्हणाले...

'cat out of the bat'; that's funny. Should be bag. Reminds me of a guy I knew who used to say 'raped over the coals'. 'Raked over the coals' is bad enough; his version was even worse.

"I assume the libtard demand for civility is over again."

The demand for civility is not for them, its for everyone else. That makes it easier for them to use every advantage to exercise their dominance. Liberalism is a schizophrenic, damaged 'belief' system intent on imposing the will of the collective over the interests of the individual. Lying, theft, and corruption are the primary tools.

It really is as simple as that.

Gee, is that what it is? He wants to build a nest in the thick Magnolia tree (well, it is a shrub, not the big tree kind). Poor guy. He keeps checking on himself who never goes away.

That wouldn't even work. Gas is approx $4 gallon. So the average family spending about $1,800 year uses 450 gallons. If the new CAFE standards improved gas mileage by 100%, reducing consumption by half to 225 gal/year, gas would have to go to $35/gallon.

Question for Meade: What's the tiny blue flower in the bottom left corner of the picture?

I think I have some of those in my yard, but they start out blue and turn white.

Thanks in advance!
