So that is what those things are!

My clemantis died back last year, but I can see some shoots growing back so it should be okay next year.

meet a UW-Madison freshman at a post wedding recepetion In Raleigh last night, cousin of groom. Weddin g was in Vegas several months ago, Smart women who has a part time job on genetics research. She worhed in U chicago lab last two summers. She had gone to only one protest. Either a slacker or serious student. Her mom said Budget Repair Bill was needed and shame that your CEO had to resign.
Her younger sister is an atlo in chorus. I told her the difference between an alto and a soprano was that an alto was a soprano who could read music. Made a friend.

Is the caption a hint that the new site is close to launch?

edutcher म्हणाले...

Does this mean the sun shines in Madison?

We can use some of that here.

PS I thought clematis was one of those things they warned you about in those Army training films.

The clematis is a great creeper/climber/cover for trellis/ugly garages, etc...

My hollihocks are just about burst...bumper crop this year...

If you go to the clematis cafe, don't use the toilet. You're likely to pick up clematia.

For the past month or two, Ann's website has taken a minute, sometimes two minutes, to load on my computer. This has not happened with any other site I visit, nor have I made any browser changes, that I am aware of.

Anyone else having this problem?

Hey if you rip out the flower and through it in Lake Mendota would that make it the Roberto Clematis cafe?

Trooper York म्हणाले...

If Lem was awake he would say that was nasty.

I type too fast. I meant:

Hey if you rip out the flower and throw it in Lake Mendota would that make it the Roberto Clematis cafe?

John - Sounds like it may be a server issue.

Still, you might try clearing your recent history (cookies, applets, etc), and running a complete virus/malware scan - just to be sure it's not internal.

Also, if you're running two or more browsers, switch between browsers - say, IE vs. Firefox vs. Chrome vs. Safari vs. Opera - to see if there's a difference.

In any case, if it's not your server(s), I smell an [advertising] applet.

Okay, for the record the "Clematis" Cafe is located in downtown West Palm Beach - where we also have the Evernia, Iris, Rosemary, Datura, Banyan, and Tamarind... cafes (street names).

But "Clematis" is the big Kahuna, the main drag, where you can get a pretty nice slice of pizza for $4, with a sidewalk view of the Intracoastal. Also the annual, week-long "Sunfest" which draws 300,000 music-loving people.

Still, I wouldn't know a clematis if I saw one, much less a datura...

john म्हणाले...

AA - thanks; I have done all that and more. But it still occurs, and only with this blog.

John - It also occurred to me that Ann's IT person/people have been transferring blog files during the relevant time period. Although it's generally a one-time deal - export, and you're done - directly transferring the many image files (vs. XML text) may be another matter.

In any case, let us know when you track down the culprit.

Almost Ali म्हणाले...

Oh, did you try entering through a different "door"? Say, clicking through from an Instapundit link as opposed to a bookmark.

Also, bookmarking a single page, as opposed to coming in on Ann's Homepage?

Once I snipped a few tender young vines tips from a rampant Clematis, brought 'em home and put 'em in a jar of water. They quickly rooted. Stuck 'em in the dirt, then they became rampant at my house too. But they were the boring ordinary blue flower kind. Since then I've see all sorts of wonderful Clematis that don't even look real.

But apart from flowers, what I'd like to show you is a pop-up card I made for a friend. It's a bit silly and drawn using crayons.
