"I talk to my mom now and then."

I tried interviewing both of my grandmothers back when I went through a geneology phase. Both were very reluctant to talk about their childhoods and lives as young adults.

Was it because of bad memories or modesty or privacy or something else, I never knew.

Mom sounds like quite a Hell-raiser. Most of the time, you don't get stories like that.

Very sweet.

"StoryCorps," however, sounds like a government program or, if Obama is making a teleprompted speech, the dead talking.

I wonder if, when you're in the hospital for hemorrhoids, they make you leave your bare ass exposed like that. In any case, she said she didn't like his bald head, but she liked him anyway because he was... smart. No comment on what else she got a good look at.
