Another Drudge juxtaposition: the "heat is on" Al Gore...

... and Obama is wiping his brow:

IN THE COMMENTS: Meade says:
And Vice President Bite Me also looks woeful.
Ha! I didn't see that when I cropped the picture, but Biden's hand-gestures mirror Gore's. Matt Drudge is a comic genius. There's nothing fair about roping Obama and Biden into Gore's horrible problem, but it's just the juxtaposition of images (along with the glue of language — here, "heat"). It's a kind of silliness — or a devious subliminal attack — that seems wrong, but the wrong disappears if you look closely and try to figure out what he did wrong.

Evidently Drudge thought it was too obvious to post a picture of Slick Willie enjoying the discomfort of O and G. But Wilie's certainly there in spirit.

Well you would look woeful too when the GOP is preparing for Fall Gelb

I don't care if Gore is guilty or not. Given the hoax he has been trying to pull on this country over the past decade so he and his comrades can remake us as a socialist society I believe anything that can be done to ruin and discredit him is fair game.

Go Althouse and Drudge!

Per HDHouse from yesterday, backing up his claim that the accuser had "a screw loose", he made the statement that the cops had shown her the door twice.

Well, it looks like the cops think there's enough there to reopen the case, HD. What say you now?

holdfast म्हणाले...

HD - Gore may not be guilty (I really don't know - I mean, if it was Clinton I'd just assume him guilty, but Gore?), but at this point the controversy itself already constitutes a "horrible problem" for him.

I'll be shocked if reality in any way deters leftist drones like HDHouse from mindlessly parroting the Clinton-era "nuts and sluts" defense talking points.

I would try to feel sorry for Biden, on Drudge…He mentioned a Republican “Blitzkrieg” which ISN’T comparing Republicans to Nazi’s, IMO. As I say, I WOULD feel sorry, but for the Democratic/Progressive whinging, “Remember November” is merely a disguised call for VIOLENCE, because Guy Fawkes executed his plot in November. So now anything is a call for violence…I really can’t feel sorry for biden.

The Zero is in a lot more trouble than The Living Redwood. It would appear his poll numbers are dropping again and he'll be lucky if they plateau in the mid 40s. The Gulf mess is being laid more and more at his doorstep, thanks to multiple imcompetences, jobs news is uniformly ghastly, and it's becoming hideously clear that the private sector is waiting for another big drop in the economy.

Right now, there are a Hell of a lot more people who want the mooskateer campaigning for them than want to be seen anywhere near The Zero.

YA BETCHA.

Lockestep म्हणाले...

The timing of events makes it seem that Tipper believes the story. The breakup of the marriage days before the story broke would line up just right with the request for comment from a publisher getting ready to run a story, and the accused breaking the news to his wife.
Which also leads to a line of speculation over possible earlier incidents which were hushed up, with Tipper giving him the "one more time and I'm gone" ultimatum.

msspurlock म्हणाले...

To those attacking Drudge for "doing this," I'm sorry, but anybody who works in the feed style like Drudge does will tell you that pulling something like this off deliberately is much, MUCH harder than this obviously accidental montage. So just appreciate it for its irony, because with the ANNOYING update system he's got, it'll be gone in a flash.

To me the spread hands are meant to show Gore and Biden are liars. As in, 'the fish was this big'.

I usually think you're delusional about the things you see on Drudge, but even I see the relationship of those pictures and the text.

Funny!

Regardless of Gore's guilt, the above statement is very true. I'm not a huge fan of Palin's and I think she's almost politically damaged goods at this point (maybe not, but we'll see). However, quite a few high-profile Dems have found other things to do rather than be seen with the President when he happens by their state. Conspicuously so.

Sorry, I still prefer "Bumblefuck Biden".

Synova म्हणाले...

Realistically, the cops may be reopening the case as a CYA measure. They can't be seen not to have taken this seriously, so they take it seriously and then either say there is enough evidence to prosecute or there is not.

As to the question of accepting anything there as true (assuming the "there" is with the sexual assault story), why not? As far as I can tell there isn't any real reason for any of us to go one way or the other on the story. Wanting Gore to be guilty or wanting him to be innocent doesn't have any actual relevance to whatever may or may not have happened.

It seems tha the way Gore expects to get laid is to rely on his Celebrity status among the Liberal ladies. That makes Elliott Spitzer look downright righteous in comparison. Sptizer always paid his way in life instead of swindling the Little People.

Posted on the other thread:

First, let's be clear that we don't know yet if Al Gore is guilty or not, and no matter who was assumed guilty on far less evidence, of something not nearly as bad, ought not to enter.

Secondly, it seems that if you have the right opinions on "women's issues" you can treat actual women as basely as you want, and progressives will make excuses for you. MANY examples come to mind. Have we forgotten Nina Burleigh, saying that women should line up "with presidential kneepads on" to fellate Bill Clinton for "keeping abortion legal"? Progressives are really okay with that logic?

Screwtape approves wholeheartedly:

Do what you will, there is going to be some benevolence, as well as some malice, in your patient's soul. The great thing is to direct the malice to his immediate neighbours whom he meets every day and to thrust his benevolence out to the remote circumference, to people he does not know. The malice thus becomes wholly real and the benevolence largely imaginary. There is no good at all in inflaming his hatred of Germans if, at the same time, a pernicious habit of charity is growing up between him and his mother, his employer, and the man he meets in the train. Think of your man as a series of concentric circles, his will being the innermost, his intellect coming next, and finally his fantasy. You can hardly hope, at once, to exclude from all the circles everything that smells of the Enemy: but you must keep on shoving all the virtues outward till they are finally located in the circle of fantasy, and all the desirable qualities inward into the Will. It is only in so far as they reach the will and are there embodied in habits that the virtues are really fatal to us. (I don't, of course, mean what the patient mistakes for his will, the conscious fume and fret of resolutions and clenched teeth, but the real centre, what the Enemy calls the Heart.) All sorts of virtues painted in the fantasy or approved by the intellect or even, in some measure, loved and admired, will not keep a man from our Father's house: indeed they may make him more amusing when he gets there.

Scroll down though this menu and there is a bite me doughnut for Al Gore.

Because you never know, he might have to be back in Portland.

Bruce Hayden म्हणाले...

I do find VP "Bite Me"'s complaint about a GOP blitzkrieg to be a bit disingenuous. Part of why he is sitting where he does, as President of the Senate, etc., is that his team had more money than the other team did two years go. And, last I knew, the Democratic Senate and Congressional campaign committees had more money on hand than did their Republican counterparts. Which is not unexpected, since they they are nearing four years in the majority in both Houses, and the majorities in Congress tend to collect the most money, since they have the most power.

Bruce Hayden म्हणाले...

I think that the reason that VP "Bite Me" might stick is the same reason that "Crazed Sex Poodle" seems to be sticking with AlGore. Both are tied directly to the parties, and both men helped create their new nick names.

While "Bumblefuck Biden" may be more accurately descriptive, it lacks the personal connection that "Bite Me" does.

Fen म्हणाले...

Good points Bruce.
