... there's an edge of violet.

Nothing like sex and violets.

Beautifully done, Madame; you effectively rebut those who say green and purple don't go together.

You seem to have some of the same plants I have in my garden. I wonder if there are snakes there? I saw one this morning in my garden, a true snake in the grass coming towards me as I was watering. It took me a minute to recognize what that might be and once I did, I had to run inside.

Nice touch of color. At Memorial Day services this morning the music was moving. The Navy Hymn (Eternal Father Strong to Save...) was wonderful to sing, and a solo and choir medley of In The Mansions of the Lord seemed to say it all.

It's true, a picture is worth a thousand words. There is no way to describe their beauty. I love your flower photos. Thanks for sharing.

Over the weekend I saw a couple of war movies..

We were Soldiers (2002) with Mel Gibson and The Kingdom (2007) with Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner.

Hadn't seen The Kingdom on account of negative reviews like this..

While providing several top-notch action scenes, The Kingdom ultimately collapses under the weight of formula and muddled politics.

This was not true at all. The politics could not be more clear. If anything I found the politics very realistic.

In the movie, the US played the good guys in a Bush War on Terror; maybe that was too much to handle for the critics. They aren't used to that.
