Amazing beauty meets the amazing human and mechanical eyes responsible for seeing and recording these sights.

Thank you for seeing and sharing your perspective! The purples, oranges and greens revealed in the first one take my breath away.

Ann, Durango to Moab, Utah is 3 hours and 5 minutes by car.

I won't rest until I see Arches and Canyonlands through your lense.

Ann, dial down the saturation just a tad. But great photos no matter how you cut it. I especially like the wide angle shots, it seems nobody uses that perspective any more, but they should.

Absolutely fantastic.

Very well done on the photographs. Did you have to Jeep to get to that location? If so, I guess that dispels the myth that all off-roaders are too busy destroying the environment to enjoy it's beauty.

Thanks for the images.

Great shots, Ann. Congrats to you and Meade. I've never posted here before but just had to say good job on the photos and on your marriage. Just came back from the area you're in and loved it. Wide angle shots are very interesting.

These are really exquisite photos, Ms. Althouse er, Mrs. Meade, ummm, Meade's Wife.

Brilliant. The lighting must have been helped by the cloud cover.

I kept thinking the first pic was my favorite.

Then the second. I really, really like the second. A lot. A whole, whole lot.

Then the third picture knocked my socks off.

My new wallpaper! Thank you.

Ann,

Are you ever curious about the names of these extraordinary flowers you find?

Ann Althouse म्हणाले...

@HT I know their names. I just don't always write them in the post. I think commenters might enjoy identifying them.
