Squash flowers are excellent breaded and fried, tempura style (although traditional Italian bread crumbs work very well also).

One of the things that became aperent to me while submitting to my cumpulsory situation (substance abuse meetings) was that it turned out I had more numbers related to my 'scape' than I had to friends and family (even including "work friends").
While thinking how this was made possible the idea that Althouse could not count among friends and family is unfortunate. (I cant tell people I come here)
On my own way I have been able to get a great deal of benefit from all of you thanks to Althouse.
I'm graduating on Monday and I believe it would not have been possible w/o all of you.
This is somewhat difficult to convey given the nature of this communication. But please believe me when I tell you I'm really grateful we have found a way to communicate this way. (even if once in a while have with trolls ;)

I usually talk to my mother on Saturdays. So I'm a little overwhelmed.

You're right, they're delicious and I keep the family tradition going. I've never made them with bread crumbs but might give that a try when they're ready to harvest this year.
