To the contrary, this shows how interested in the survival of the gray wolf Obama truly is. There are people in this country who wish to murder wolves. Obama is the last, best defense the gray wolves have against these blood hungry she demons of the night.
I understood the story, right up the the last sentence.
So basically, the answer is that Barack Obama hates gray wolves because they do not stimulate the economy makes no sense at all.
And neither does drawing of gay wolves on Wonkette's site, unless the intention is to suggest that the Bush administration removed gays from the endangered species list, and therefore refused to offer them protection.
The accompanying illustration was bizarre. I realize it references an entire "lifestyle" about which I know nothing, a situation I'm perfectly comfortable with. I thought it was actually pretty clever to tie in gay wolves with gray wolves and expected to see the attack expressed as "Obama is as much of a homophobe as Bush was", but then she went to the economic stimulus jab and it tanked. Maybe we're supposed to understand that the gay wolves are spending too much time stimulating each other instead of the economy?
You know if you have to reach that far to get a joke it's just not funny.
Not surprised at this at all. Obama put a rancher in to run Interior, which is not uncommon, and ranchers hate wolves because they believe that they kill livestock.
Sec. Salazar may be a token Hispanic, but he is a rancher first. His family has been ranching and farming the San Louis valley in Colorado since the time that the Spanish still owned it.
I live in Idaho and have camped in the remote wilderness and heard wolves howl and it is a wonderful experience. It is quite startling to be in the middle of blackness and hear a near by sustained loud woooooooooo!!!! I'm not sure that would send a tingle up Chris Mathew's dingle, but I was stunned when I heard it, because the wolf(s) sounded like they were only a few feet away. Recent news, wolves have been eliminated from the in endangered species list, at least in ID.

The Wonkette blog is childishly awful.
"The Wonkette blog is childishly awful."
Yeah, but, so, what do you mean?, I shouldn't link?
Let's see if they totally politicize this by proposing a ban on culling from helicopters.
That was supposed to be funny, right?

Salazar is Hispanic. Or something. Isn't this racist? Or somethng?
"Barack Obama hates gray wolves because they do not stimulate the economy."
He seems okay with Tim Geithner, and he doesn't exactly stimulate the economy either.
"The Wonkette blog is childishly awful."
Yeah, but, so, what do you mean?, I shouldn't link?
What I meant was: The Wonkette blog is childishly awful.
Whether you link or not is your decision alone. I don't presume influence one way or the other.
I'd appreciate it if you stopped linking to Sullivan. Or at least put a SULLIVAN WARNING before a link to him.
Yeah, I know I could probably work it out from the keywords, but I usually click first and notice the keywords later.
Oh, and I didn't get the last sentence either.
