Jeez you just got engaged and you are already introducing camels. Or are you talking about cigarettes.

I thought Wednesday was "hump day."

You can work late till midnight, we don't care
We can fix our own meals, we can wash our own hair

You know, I have a question for you, Ann.

Does the 'daily blog' deadline ever get you down? Lately you've done several posts daily but at other times you have strained to put one together (whether for reasons of travel/unavailability or for other reasons.)

Cartoonists and editorial writers often complain about the pressures of how having to create something original on a daily basis eventually takes the zip out of their game or turns what used to be fun into the daily grind.

How do you keep up with your self-imposed requirement to post something every day but also stay fresh and spontaneous?

Just curious.

TY:

Or she could be going the other way. For a long time the camel was the official mascot of the American Prohibition Party.

[abrupt change of direction after the previous post, after I was about to link to the Prohibition Party]

Just to prove that politics is in fact evolving, that party appears to have ***finally died!***

I just went to check their website http://www.prohibition.org/ and they still have links up-- to their platform for the 2004 election, and not even to a newsletter more recent than 2007.

YES!!

It's been quite a few years since the last time I went to that site to check on the progress of their decline, but I am now happy to see that apparently in the interim the party has died.

The Whigs.
The Know-nothings.
The Bull Moose Party.
The Socialist Labor Party.

And now, decades after the 21st amendment was passed, the Prohibition Party is officially DEAD!!

Must be that the last Carrie Nation-era granny who was editing their newsletter and decrying demon rum has finally kicked the bucket.

Time goes forward, and politics goes with it.

Trooper York म्हणाले...

Hey get hd to tell you about the time he banged Carrie Nation. His performance after he was drunk lead directly to her starting the Prohibition movement.

Ron म्हणाले...

Carrie Nation? Trooper, isn't she that nag from the Meade In The City movie that you lost a Trifecta on?

Well Trooper Yuck...

It appears no matter what the hour or the topic you can utter utter nonsense.

You got beat bad pal. Just learn to live with being second rate.
