The boys are all heading for the lobby for candy and refreshments to be ready for the next action scene.
My mom wrote a piano arrangement of ``The Man I Love'' that she played a lot (it was the only thing she played, in fact) through the early 50s; and then stopped.
In the 70s my Uncle her brother visited her and played it from handwritten sheet music that she procured from somewhere.
All other arrangements, which I first heard only very recently, pale in comparison. Who knows what happened to it.
Both Mom and Dad were proficient on the piano, but stopped playing very early in my experience. I stopped playing piano myself when I got my first Doberman. There were then better things to do with my time.
Another Valentines day that never ends, adding romantic love to politics and current events. Very nice. I would have enjoyed Ingrid Bergman as my Constitutional Law Professor. I hope this doesn't mean Meade smokes, not that there is anything wrong with that.
Howard Hawks said that Cary Grant was "so far the best that there isn't anybody to compare with him." Hitchcock said Grant was "the only actor I ever loved in my whole life."
Grant was the first actor to go independent of the studio contract system, gaining control of his career, choice of director and co-stars, and at times a percentage of the gross.
I haven't seen Notorious (yet), but I loved Grant and Rosalind Russell in the wonderful His Girl Friday, and with Katherine Hepburn in Bringing Up Baby, where he played such an adorably fussy and befuddled paleontologist.
We should leave your prodigious salary out of this. For one thing, I think you've disappointed dear sweet HelenParr quite enough already. And we really do need her on our team don't you think? So be cool. Team Meade! (Hi, Helen!)
So waddaya say, bro? Two months of my salary.
I'm sure you've got it there in your wallet somewhere. A measly weekend of green fees for you. If that.
Now that we have our President's Stimulus Act working for us and can look forward to an additional $13 per week in our paychecks, why, that means my take-home pay will double!

If only I had a nickel for every time I've been mistaken for Cary Grant, I'd have enough nickels to pay off that shiny engagement ring.

So...is Tuesday your good news day?
Awwh...how romanitical.
I've always regretted not being able to light a cigarette like that. I think my life would have turned out much different.
Wasn't that touching the way he covered up Bergman's bare midriff?
Hershey Felder also sings that song very well.
What movie is this from?
It's from my all-time favorite Hitchcock film, Notorious.
Ingrid is the woman I love.

Ingrid Bergman was beautiful. Great actress too.
Titus must be on vacation...
Grant and Kelly were hot in To Catch A Thief" too. While the love scene staging is dated and rather corny, their sexual tension is palpable.
Althouse continues to carry the melody; while Meade's sotto voce provides presence.
You guys are SO hot; it must be driving the naysayers nuts.
IB was tall 69 inches, at least 71 in shoes.
CG was 73 inches.
In the car you can see that their torsos appear to be similar lengths.
Bodies similar in line & design and following a sway in movements produce a humanoharmonigraph. That makes thinks palpable and mapable.
I made that last part up. It is not taught in math or design.
Althouse, don't let Meade shove you outta the car...like Grant is about to do in those clips!
Meade looks nothing like Cary Grant. Begin breaking up with him immediately.
No but he looks like Aldo Ray and he can kick your ass pal.
If you had a nickle for every time you had been mistaken for Cary Grant, little brother, you would still be waiting for your first nickle.
Sheesh.
If I had a dollar every time I get mistaken for Fatty Arbuckle, I'd be able to get hookers like Fatty Arbuckle!
Oh, the irony...

Hey, I'm glad you're here. I need to borrow a few bucks... say, oh about two months salary?
Mom said to ask you.
We need to clarify this. Are you talking about yours or mine?
Salary, that is. I'm pretty sure which Mom you're referring to.

I can pay you back on Tuesday.
You bet. Anything for my little brother!

I feel so stimulated!
Me too.
Hey, thanks for the trickle-hand-me-down! You're the best, man!
