I'm pretty sure that dinosaur is flashing gang signs.

I'm sure Trumpit will be glad that it went extinct before someone like Sarahcuda could put it in her gun sights.

How do they figure out the colors?

When I was a kid, all the dinosaurs were drab green and grey, and then, at some point, they all got colorful.

A charmless dinosaur.

They were giving them away at Sunoco stations in the 70s.

They don't, it's a guess. Well, not really even that. Someone liked blue and red together.

They used to be pictured in dull greens and grays because they were 'primitive' and people thought those colors were primitive.

It makes more sense that they had color as they are tetrapods.

That charming illustration of the superb Epidexipteryx is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

I recently learned that some of my in-laws believe that God "put" humans and all the animals on the earth and that they all lived peacefully together until Sin happened.

Then the lions started to want to eat people.

No kidding.

Kinda reminds me of a bizarro Thanksgiving greeting. Save the drumsticks for me!

Folks might like to check out this dinosaur, known as microraptor, a close relative of velociraptor, of Jurassic Park fame. Notice the two banks of wings (two additional wings, on its feet!), unlike the single bank of (two) wings in the case of birds. Velociraptor was highly likely also covered with feathers, and even the adult tyrannosaurus might still have retained a tuft or two.

You can read more about feathered dinosaurs here.

The second picture at the BBC site suggests a beast not quite so charming. Unless you consider losing fingers and limbs charming, of course...

How do they figure out the colors?

Scripture, that's how, and those aren't gang signs.
