"... that are expected to emanate from the Hill. His top priority, they said, is rebuilding the fractured MAGA coalition and pursuing policies that will energize the voters who elected Mr. Trump in 2024. 'Stephen is and always has been the eternal flame of the MAGA movement — putting the president’s words and policy into action,' Hunter Morgen, who worked as a deputy to Mr. Miller during the president’s first term and is now a lobbyist at Ballard Partners, wrote in a text message."

AND??? When have Progressives EVER compromised?? I wonder why the NYT's never put out an article about that???
Good. Don't compromise. Dems never do. Trump has a "pen and a phone."
Outstanding pick, in my opinion. He is very smart and quick on his feet. I don't think the media is going to like tangling with him. I've seen him in action and it's pretty impressive.
To me, Trump seemed contrite after the shellacking. I expect it won’t last. Glad to see the pit bull promoted.
I agree. Fight, fight, fight. You gain nothing by working with Schumer and Jeffries. These two clowns want to impeach Trump and destroy him. Both of them were clapping their hands with joy when Biden's DOJ tried to put Trump in jail.
"To me, Trump seemed contrite after the shellacking. "
Contrite?! Does he even know what the word means? More like he was in denial. The day after the election he called a "press conference" (put it in quotes because he took no questions) just so he could go on about his freaking ballroom.
When Biden fought Republicans the NYT's said that was being "fiesty" or "fighting for the rights of the executive branch". But if Trump fights thats "being hardline" and "refusing to compromise".
oh goodie. NYT(D) speak.
You'll notice that Bush 43 never says a word about Congress trying to impeach and convict Trump or encroach upon executive power in the last 10 years.
But when he was in office, he sang a different tune. Just more evidence that Bush was always a uniparty Globalist.
The radical commie-Islamic-CIA punishment left are not even sworn in yet - and they are already promising massive HARM.
And just wait until they import more illegals, and grant mass amnesty. Free tax payer funded goodies for illegals. All while our Social Security swirls down the drain.
I'd prefer a cabinet full of Stephen Millers. Even better, a GOP Congress full of Stephen Millers.
The appointment of Miller as Chief of Staff and the policies he is known for will keep Trumpism alive until 2028. The millions of Americans that voted against Trump in the midterms won’t have any trouble remembering why they rejected Trumpism when they vote in 2028. There is a good possibility that by 2028 there will be an even bigger majority of Congressional seats being filled by Democrats.
I guess Trump thinks the fight is on, so Miller's the man.
"Just more evidence that Bush was always a uniparty Globalist."
Goes way back to Prescott Bush, father of George, grandfather to W. They're all deep into the NWO.
Prescott is frequently connected to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in political history and discourse, primarily due to his status as a prominent figure within the mid-20th-century "Eastern Establishment."
The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) Connection
While Prescott Bush (the former U.S. Senator from Connecticut and patriarch of the Bush political dynasty) was a quintessential moderate establishment Republican, the "CFR" connection often highlights the ideological friction between his family and grassroots conservatives:
• The Establishment Tag: As a Yale graduate, member of Skull and Bones, and managing partner at the Wall Street investment firm Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., Bush epitomized the elite globalist and financial circles that heavily overlapped with the CFR.
• 1964 Texas Senate Campaign Target: The connection became a explicit political weapon during the 1964 Texas Republican primary when his son, George H.W. Bush, ran for the U.S. Senate. Right-wing opponents circulated a pamphlet titled “Who’s Behind the Bushes,” which directly attacked the family's East Coast establishment background. The pamphlet criticized George H.W. Bush by revealing that five of his prominent campaign contributors were members of the Council on Foreign Relations, while reminding voters of Prescott Bush’s progressive stance on civil rights.
Time for a war footing and Miller’s the man for it. Shove the lefty crap back up their backsides.
Freder you obviously see Trump through a different lense than me. He wasn’t his usual bellicose after the beat down. But by promoting Miller he showing he’s ready to go again. The immigration fight will be the key. And he will shrug of the impeachments like a fly on his lapel.
Send the Fredos and Ignas off with their hair on fire and full diapers.
Inag said: “The millions of Americans that voted against Trump in the midterms”
Well doesn’t that sum it up? The Commies didn’t vote FOR anything. They had nothing.
"To me, Trump seemed contrite after the shellacking. "
“Contrite?! Does he even know what the word means? More like he was in denial.”
He was shocked, being a narcissist he may have truly thought he was so loved and revered that he would cause a sweeping win for Republicans. He’ll never live down telling Americans to Pretend I’m on the ballot!” and when Americans did just that, he and his policies were resoundingly rejected.
Trumpists have latched on to the notion that more of the same stuff that made them lose massively in the midterms will actually help them win in 2028. They haven’t learned a thing… oh well.
The young will return to sanity when they feel the Commie/Islamo/Green Weenie Democrat Congressional boot on their necks.
The rotters will ultimately get their fat asses kicked to the curb.
If the Dems follow through on their lawfare declarations, they might possibly see "Miller/Attila 2028" stickers in their future.
“Well doesn’t that sum it up? The Commies didn’t vote FOR anything. They had nothing.”
The anti Trumpism voters voted for human decency, which was/is glaringly missing in Trump and Trumpism. Continue to revile people who don’t belong to the Trump cult, it doesn’t really matter because thank God, there are enough of us to overcome Trumpism votes, hence the blue tsunami. American will survive Trumpism.
The complete demise of the losing party, particularly after midterms is always announced triumphantly by the winning party, but that’s not what happens. Some years later, the winners become losers.
Irina jocelyn and laken and sheridan gives the lie to that
“ The anti Trumpism voters voted for human decency,”
Yep like protecting all violent criminal immigrants. Very decent of you and your Commie buddies.
A bigger role for Miller will make sure that anyone left in Trump’s orbit remains completely unelectable in 2028.
Miller's appointment is the single most moronic action Trump has ever taken, and it will insure that he remains the most hated president in American history by a long shot.
It's clear that Musk's money and airpac really cam thru for the GOP-Christian Zionist coalition! Soon they will be drinking our blood. I'm going to go hide under the bed.
Inag proves the real cult of personality are the all-feelings TDS left.
Ignore the blue state hell and the HARM coming our way under soviet-dem rule. Trump is so narcissistic!
Yeah - name a politician who isn't?
Rand Paul. He's the only person who wants to tackle the debt.

Great choice. I look forward to the battles with him slashing the evil Left.
The administration is going to the mattresses.
Quote from PJ Media: “Just prior to Election Day, and in the days since, President Donald Trump has been uncharacteristically subdued.”
Some might say contrite. *cough*
There comes a point where the circumstantial evidence leads you to conclude that Trump is intentionally burning the Republican Party to the ground because he doesn’t want it to succeed or thrive without him when he’s gone.
“There comes a point where the circumstantial evidence leads you to conclude that Trump is intentionally burning the Republican Party to the ground because he doesn’t want it to succeed or thrive without him when he’s gone.”
There comes a point when even a guy with literary chops should figure out that mind reading is not a magical skill he possesses.
They need to reinstall the octagon on the White House lawn. It’s going to be UFC-type brawl for the next two years. The wartime generals are being promoted.
How dare Trump hire anyone he can Trust.
The best course of action for the TDS left - is for Trump to hire back stabbers and moles.
I view this appointment as an announcement that Trump is determined to keep the southern border shut down and to deport as many as possible of the 10-20 million illegals allowed in during the Biden open border era. Whether this is doable, or a political strategy I would employ is another question.
And after all the concillatory statements about compromise from the Democrats since the election.
I gas (true autocorrect version of Inga’s) method of argument has always been Projection. The cult has always been on the Left. The only Trumpism is in her mind, as is the case with the left these days.
“There comes a point where the circumstantial evidence leads you to conclude that Trump is intentionally burning the Republican Party to the ground because he doesn’t want it to succeed or thrive without him when he’s gone.”
When pondering Trump and his oddities, many of us anti-Trumpists have discussed the disturbing possibility that he is so angry that he isn’t loved enough by America and the rest of that he would try to destroy the it to spite us. He may be seen as a buffoon, but a dangerous one.
I have to keep reminding myself that he is a child of God, like the rest of us, that’s going to continue to be a challenge.
No Inag - your party is the destructive evil force.
@Inga. IEEE’s mind reading is stupid. You’re resorting to echoing his mind reading is even more stupid, but what I’d expect from a shrieking hysteric with the mind of an adolescent like you. Is there any form of stupidity and drunken hysteria that you don’t embody?

Doesn’t appear Trump got the message from voters.
Miller is the man for the upcoming fight. Stephen Miller was at Duke during the Lacrosse team scandal. He had hair then, and was on TV defending the team when the Duke 88 moron professors all signed the open letter supporting the fake victim.
Trump burned the GOP to the ground when he refused to conform to the “norm” that no decent person insists on enforcing the border and removing illegal immigrants. GOP voters had been demanding enforcement of the border and immigration law for 50 years, only to be betrayed by candidates who promised enforcement, got elected and then reneged and voted for amnesties. That already happened in 2016. The GOP is still struggling to find a way to actually represent the interests of the people who vote for it. This, by the way, is the “decency” argument that our drunk, hysterical Inga is making.
“Doesn’t appear Trump got the message from voters.”
Why would he? The ones that voted against his interests hate his guts. That message has been shouted from the rooftops for years. You expect him to play nice?
Maybe he needed a pit bull COS, but this guy is the Don Rickles of the administration. I don’t get it.
Nothing says ‘course correction’ like elevating the man most responsible for the course. Trump didn’t learn a thing from Tuesday night’s curb-stomping.

Doesn’t appear Trump got the message from voters.
Trump got the message.
He went soft and didn't do what he said he would do. Republicans in congress did nothing. Trump let the the Republicans sit there and spin on their thumbs.
Republican voters want secure elections and they want illegals deported. They want immigrants on welfare denaturalized and reported. They want scammers in jail. They want corrupt traitors in congress thrown in jail.
Republican voters stayed home because Republicans let them down.
In 2028 they will come out for the person who promises to do what they want.
Pinochet 2028.
“Trump didn’t learn a thing from Tuesday night’s curb-stomping.”
Could be he sees a moral imperative in stopping Iran from acquiring the capability to deliver a nuke. Could also be that he’s determined to shut down the border and expel the 10-20 million illegals allowed over Biden’s open border. He might be making what he considers the right moral choices for the future of the country.
[Shrug]. The Democrats are coming into office in two months and two weeks promising war on Republicans everywhere. In response Trump has replaced a peacetime.consigliore with a wartime consigliore. What’s the problem?
Compromising with Democrats over subpoenas and investigations? Not bloody likely. Over what then? What exactly is it that Democrats want? Amnesty? More abortion? Do they even have a program? And would "compromising with Democrats" prevent the subpoenas and investigations? Again, not bloody likely.
It would be nice if there were things Republicans and Democrats could agree on but that's not going to happen. Miller's not a conciliator, but neither are the Democrats, and the country itself isn't going to be conciliated
"People close to Miller"? The reporters didn't have to talk to anyone close to Miller to come to the conclusions that they did and probably didn't talk to anyone very close to him.
“He might be making what he considers the right moral choices for the future of the country.”
He might be trying to make the right moral choice? How naive. Can’t blame Trumpists for trying to rehabilitate their leader, after all Trump’s moral failures reflect their own.
Shouting Thomas nails it at 11:07.
Trump is doing the right thing despite the negative political consequences. Putative conservatives who oppose the Iran blockade are short term thinking fools.
Putative conservatives who oppose the Stephen Miller selection are the type who cost Republicans the midterms. They want Republicans to be smooth talking insurance salesmen who accomplish little, but don’t offend Middle America.
Before dismissing the idea that Trump might be 'making the right moral choice', please read what Flopping Aces tweeted on the subject, which I quoted two posts down. For those too lazy to scroll down, here's the direct link.

Did we burn anything down after the election like Democrats do?
Did we shoot any Democrats like you shot Charlie Kirk?
Did we try to kill your political leaders?
You are an evil piece of shit and I am glad you are back to justify your murderous desires. Everyone needs to remember that you think we are evil and we should be killed for opposing you.
Miller’s vow. Downright creepy.
“This man took a bullet for us. He faced down life in prison for us. He saved the Republican Party from the ash heap of history and has made us stronger, more popular, and more resilient than ever before. It is the honor of my life to be President Trump’s chief of staff, and I swear to you, and I pledge to you, Mr. President, my absolute loyalty, my unwavering commitment, and my total devotion to your success and the success of this country.”
Stephen Miller, November 7, 2026
“Did we shoot any Democrats like you shot Charlie Kirk?”
Yes, ICE shot and killed two American citizens in the streets of Minneapolis. YOU Achilles might be evil, but I doubt it, more likely you’re a confused angry man.
Sounds like they have something to hide.
Inag - Charlie Kirk was targeted for murder.
The anti-ICE rage fueled leftists put themselves in vulnerable positions. Are they allowed to harass the Police?
Not the same - Soviet Inag.
I do recall you never said one thing about Kirk's murder.
“I do recall you never said one thing about Kirk's murder.”
Either you gave a bad memory or you’re lying. I posted a couple of Bible verses pertaining to the comforting of the grieving. I expressed condolences to those who loved Kirk. Go back and look for yourself if you doubt me.
Commie podcaster Jennifer Welch was unavailable for comment.
@Inga, are you talking about the woman who hit an ICE agent with her SUV and the clown who started a fight with ICE agents while armed with a gun? Are you trying to excuse them from their culpability in their own deaths?
"Are you trying to excuse them from their culpability in their own deaths?"
Everybody knows the answer to that question.
I don't thinkn this benefits anybody. Voters want a different approach and for office-holders to seek solutions. All Miller will do is talk Trump to double-down on the assholery.
Inag called this Miller comment about Trump creepy: “ This man took a bullet for us.
Creepy? Hardly.
"Are you trying to excuse them from their culpability in their own deaths?"
Like you are?
Look, I despise progressives, and at the same time I expect law enforcement to use their guns as anabsolutely last resort.
You know who is creepy? Obama. El Sayed. Tim Walz.
Peggy "put your bodies on the line" Flannigan, Slotkin.
to name a few MAJOR CREEPY.
Rage fueled leftists who attend soros class for street theater rage and harassment of police - all A-OK by the above the law left.
Alex Pretti:
Alex Pretti kicked out a Police vehicle tail light. He brought a gun with him to a rage-zone while ICE were trying to arrest illegals. NO responsible gun owner in the US would do such a thing. Also, his own parents admitted he had extreme rage issues and they were worried about him.
Renee Good: She had young children, but found time to attend anti-ICE meetings where angry empty leftists were dutifully taught to interfere with illegal immigrant arrests.
Is it OK to interfere with the Police? Why do leftists think they are above the law?
Soros and Peggy Flannigan (D) killed Renee Good and Alex.
"and at the same time I expect law enforcement to use their guns as anabsolutely last resort."
Define "an absolutely last resort."
"American will survive Trumpism"
But not the corrupt, anti-American international crime syndicate called The Democrat Party.
Excellent, there have been enough cuckolds in the republican party already.
The last several comments blaming the victim are why there was a Blue Tsunami, I guess this hasn’t occurred to you folks. You must want a similar Blue Tsnusami in 2028.
"Rebuilding the fractured MAGA coalition"
Putting toothpaste back into the tube, but at least he recognizes what happened.
"You must want a similar Blue Tsnusami in 2028."
My guess is that the Democrats will not recognize that this vote was against war, period, not just the "bad war" and Democrats are going to ramp up the war in Ukraine just as futilely.
Plus Democrats are not going to block the provision in the Defense Authorization Act that embeds the IDF in the US military and shares all intelligence with them. I call it the "Jonathon Pollard Rehabilitation Act." Democrats will not filibuster this bill because Schumer is in the pocket of the Israelis.
We don't share intelligence with Canada or the UK or Australia or New Zealand to this level. Not to mention, and here is a good one, there is only one foreign country in the world where the CIA is forbid by our own government to operate.
Blaming the victim? Renee and Alex were encouraged to place themselves as Harassment Officers to HARASS ICE/Police officers - by democrat officials..
Not the same as murdering someone in cold blood - FROM A ROOFTOP - for HIS speech.
You really are not that smart, Inag.
All Renee had to do was obey the law. She chose not to.
It flies right past the left that Peggy Flannigan urged local leftists "to put their bodies on the line" - & Her request was asking for exactly what occurred - to add more fire to leftist rage. the cult base does not understand they are expendable to the Soviet Elites.
Prescott Bush, senator from the once industrial state of Connecticut, was opposing the free trade policies supported by Texas Democrats, like Lyndon Johnson. He deserves some credit for that.
Goldwaterites and Birchers used to make a big deal about the Council on Foreign Relations in the Sixties and Seventies. We've gotten beyond that now. Maybe we realize that an organization that big isn't going to push a single party line, or maybe we've come to understand that other groups are far more influential in shaping policy.
Trump trying to intentionally ruin the GOP? No, it's just that he can't resist being the center of attention. He also can't resist a good story: Dr. Oz in the Senate, sure, Graham's sister in the Senate, sure. Someone smarter or someone with more self-control wouldn't have injected himself into the primaries.
The anti Trumpism voters voted for human decency,
Like what? Criminal illegal aliens and abortions? Ooooo. I got it! Social benefits for illegals ant the expense of citizens.
Is that the decency you're talking about?
Inag - I do recall you immediately blamed "MAGA" for Kirk's death. Like you did for all of Trump's assassination attempts.
Back to Renee Good - her own girlfriend said it was "all her fault" for bringing Renee there. Again - they drove to where they were told ICE agents would be - with specific instructions to HARASS ICE AGENTS. Renee's mother - a good leftist - subsidized Renee's leftwing soros-club for harassment.
Renee should have been a responsible adult - taking care of her children.
“Did we shoot any Democrats like you shot Charlie Kirk?”
Who is you? All democrats are liable for Kirk’s death? I didn’t even know of him. But I guess I deserve the death penalty.
But to answer your question— Mellissa Hortman and her husband. But in your twisted mind you’ll convince yourself they don’t count for some reason.
I used to tell my kids nothing good happens after 11PM. Be home.
I didn’t need to tell them that nothing positive will happen at a potentially violent protest. They were too smart.
I’ll tell you what, Inga, how about you (1) attempt to obstruct a local policeman in your local city, (2) deliberately disobey his instructions to move your vehicle, and then (3) try to run him over. Do you think your fate would differ from Renee Goode’s?
@bbface1, multiple ICE officers were struggling with Pretti, which is already asking for trouble. As they struggled, one of the officers saw Pretti’s gun and called out “Gun, gun, gun!, “ which is correct procedure. He, or another officer, grabbed the gun and extracted it from its holster. A different officer saw the empty holster, reached the conclusion that the gun must be in Pretti’s hand, and sent his soul to whatever pit in Hell is reserved for people who’ve died of stupidity. I’m not happy he’s dead, but if he thought the purity of his motives made him exempt from the consequences of his bad decisions.
Do you think because you and they hate the laws ICE is charged with that they should accept risks to their lives. Law enforcement officers DO NOT MESS AROUND. They want to go home alive to their wives and children at night. As they should.
Didn’t Melissa Hartman oppose her own party in Minnesota?
“Who is you? All democrats are liable for Kirk’s death?”
@Forest, “you” includes you, personally. Have you ever heard a Lefty acquaintance using violent rhetoric and told them to cool it with the violent stuff? When you’ve heard a a lefty acquaintance saying someone “deserved to die,” did you tell them that no one deserves to die merely because his of his political orientation? If not, why not?
Hartman was the Democrat speaker of the house. Nice try though
Apparently, it’s an IgnaRant™️ Weekend.
Big Mike - thank you. Excellent analysis. Fact based.
Melisa Hartman was assassinated by one of Walz's goons.
ForestwithoutLice is a fan of Big RID®…
The Hortman's were murdered by a Democrat Party operative who worked for Tim Walz. The reason was Hortman's vote quashed a Democrat Party objective. It was assassination with a message for other democrat party members.
It should be embarrassing by now how absurd are the comparisons libtards make to excuse their own murderous rhetoric, incitement, and crimes. But Democrat Party members are incapable of embarrassment, shame, or honesty.
Progressive? Perhaps.
Re Miller. It’s a great pick for the job. One thing I appreciate about him is that he has thorough knowledge of all things US Constitution, law and legal history. He is great at explaining how things are designed and currently configured to work. I hope he can spread that knowledge more widely.
One thing I’ve been really disappointed about is how little basic civic knowledge is on display in social media. Tons of people really have no clue how our govt is constructed or the processes in place that guide it. They seem to prefer to be emotional, not thoughtful.
"One thing I’ve been really disappointed about is how little basic civic knowledge is on display in social media. Tons of people really have no clue how our govt is constructed or the processes in place that guide it."
They used to teach that stuff in school but progressives decided people didn't need to know about it.
So, do we have any other examples of conservatives murdering leftists? I guess Melissa Hartman didn’t work. Try again.

Your other problem is you don't understand why Republicans lost.
Trump wasn't on the ballot. The people who didn't do what they promised and who fucked Trump over were on the ballot. The Neocons are the ones that truly lost.
And now that Wiles is out and Miller is in charge the Neocons are out out.

Trump literally spent the closing weeks campaigning in 20 states and holding 30 events in 32 days, telling voters: “Pretend that I’m on the ballot.”
Well, they did. Turns out it wasn’t quite the endorsement he had in mind.
Democrats flipped 42 House seats and seven Senate seats, including Texas and Kansas. That’s a fairly ambitious number of voters to dismiss as disgruntled Neocon sympathizers.
And replacing Susie Wiles with Stephen Miller is an interesting response to an electoral repudiation. If the diagnosis is that Trump needs even more of the same, I suspect the next two years will be educational.
As for Obama, he lost 63 House seats in 2010. He didn’t spend the next two years pretending the electorate had actually voted against someone else.

Your recall is flawed or you are lying. Even to this day no one seems to know if the person in jail, awaiting trial for Kirk’s murder is the killer. Many questions are still unanswered. The Trump shooters weren’t connected to Democrats. I’ll let you try and figure out their motive and connections.
"Even to this day no one seems to know if the person in jail, awaiting trial for Kirk’s murder is the killer."
@Inga, that's not exactly correct. The rifle that was found at near the scene of the crime has been conclusively matched to Tyler Robinson. The bullet that killed Charlie Kirk was too fragmented to match to any gun barrel, however a cartridge casing was recovered from the point from which the shooter fired the shot, and the indentation where the firing pin impacts the primer matches the rifle. Most people are unaware that minute differences in the surface of a firing pin can match a spent case pretty conclusively back to the firing pin that hit the cartridge, but the science behind it is pretty conclusive. Security camera footage places Robinson at the scene. the case is pretty open and shut.
"People close to Mr. Miller said he had shown no interest in compromising with congressional Democrats ..."
Is there a reason why he should compromise with evil?
