I watched one of the main clips. on X this morning. It seems like all of Washington DC, and the surrounding counties, populated by wealthy bureaucrats and lobbyists are only interested in themselves. Not the American people. They could fix things, but they are more powerful when they keep the population doggy paddling.
The part about Susie Wiles, and the lobbying firm that hired here daughter was most disturbing. It's all nepotism and pay for play.
He uses the term "demonic nature" to describe the purposefully incompetent bureaucrats. We saw the reality of this during COVID. It was evil what they pushed. Especially the clot shot, and turning the general population into lab rats.
And there was little revolt from the American people. Being a lab rat became a point of status and pride. "I'M VACCINATED" was a virtue signal on social media. Especially for teachers and the AWFLs.

Do you consider crop subsidies and flood insurance to be "social programs"? If so, there is going to be a mass migration. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and even Florida can't handle a major hurricane, or fund flood insurance, by themselves.
Well "flood insursnce" is very expensive. So no. I don't consider it a social program. Crop subsidies? No. Get rid of those. But, but ,but. Nothing get rid of them. Subsidies are a form of regulation.

The government covers everything over a cap, say 100,000 in a calendar year.
People are responsible for everything under that. They can join health coops, get supplemental insurance, pay cash etc.
The market will deal with the every day health issues. The government will provide backup and emergency care.
People will become responsible for being fat, taking stupid drugs like Statins, buying their own Ozempic.

What I find puzzling is Means's insistence that Trump and Kennedy are principled reformers surrounded by corrupt or obstructive officials.
It sounds like the old "good tsar, bad advisers" explanation for success and failure. The tsar received credit for successes, while his supposedly deceitful advisers took the blame for failures. If Trump's own appointees were systematically undermining his agenda, doesn't the president bear some responsibility for appointing, retaining, and supervising them?
And IEE raises an important point about Means's own substantial financial interest in Truemed. Surely the standards of transparency and accountability Means demands of others should apply to him as well.
There's a worthwhile discussion that could be had about institutional reform, but it ought to begin with consistent standards of evidence and accountability, regardless of who's involved.

The government covers everything over a cap, say 100,000 in a calendar year.
People are responsible for everything under that. They can join health coops, get supplemental insurance, pay cash etc.
The market will deal with the every day health issues. The government will provide backup and emergency care.
People will become responsible for being fat, taking stupid drugs like Statins, buying their own Ozempic.
The idea isn't crazy. It isn't even particularly complicated.

What I find puzzling is Means's insistence that Trump and Kennedy are principled reformers surrounded by corrupt or obstructive officials.
It sounds like the old "good tsar, bad advisers" explanation for success and failure. The tsar received credit for successes, while his supposedly deceitful advisers took the blame for failures. If Trump's own appointees were systematically undermining his agenda, doesn't the president bear some responsibility for appointing, retaining, and supervising them?
And IEE raises an important point about Means's own substantial financial interest in Truemed. Surely the standards of transparency and accountability Means demands of others should apply to him as well.
There's a worthwhile discussion that could be had about institutional reform, but it ought to begin with consistent standards of evidence and accountability, regardless of who's involved.
