I come to sing the praises of AI again.
This past week, I had a lot of work done at a property, which required quite a few different tradespeople, including electricians, trash haulers, etc.
So easy with AI. I gave the address and what I needed. AI went through reviews and proximity to the worksite, and all I had to do was call and set up appointments. I’m assuming that, as with Google, this will eventually be monetized and become a lot less useful. (BTW, Perplexity says it’s already starting) So take advantage now. Anything you need done - home repair, car repair - AI can help.

Shapiro will probably win reelection, but outside of PA he’s on island. The R’s won’t have him and the Commies will cast him off because he’s a you-know-what. He’s reached his limit.

I’m 2 years away and already have one foot out the door. As soon as I made the decision last summer to retire early—after a meeting with a financial planner revealed that I could afford it—I became like Stanley in The Office. I show up, I do my job, but I no longer look for new opportunities, new ways to use my skills. I’m just doing my time until I turn 62 and then I’m gone.

On my husband’s first day of retirement, he got up, went to an early CrossFit workout per usual, and when he got home, stooped too quickly to check tire pressure, passed out, hit his head on the street, and by the time I got home from my walk, he was in the kitchen with a concussion. Vertigo the next two weeks. He sat in a corner with a hoodie over his head for his retirement party. Good times! Actually— for such a workaholic, I’ve been gobsmacked by how quickly he adapted to filling his own time and loving it. He leaves Dallas for a ski safari right after Christmas, and visits friends at various ski resorts for a couple of months. Everybody wants to be my husband.

My son and his spouse are yearning to move back to Colorado. It appears inevitable. Of course they want us to follow them. My spouse is leaning that way also. My compromise offer: Rent a house in CO for the two worst winter months in PA. That would be Jan/ Feb.
