President Donald Trump's disapproval numbers hit a record high in a new poll, the latest in a series of surveys painting a gloomy picture for the president six months out from the November midterm elections.
In the latest Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll, Trump's disapproval rating hit 62%, an all-time high from the survey's history throughout both terms in office.
The high disapproval rate came alongside souring opinions on Trump's handling of the Iran war, the economy and cost of living, issues that the president has consistently been polling poorly on over the last few months.
The midterms will be a bloodbath, in the House and maybe even in the Senate, but of course not a single one of the Trump/MAGA supporters here will blame him.
Did all the fraud exposure nudge the Supremes to believe that the fraud may have been made possible by the fixing of the districts to favor one party over the other?
ai: "There is no evidence that investigations by independent journalist Nick Shirley influenced the Supreme Court’s decisions regarding race-based congressional districts. While Shirley’s viral reporting on alleged welfare and voter fraud in "Democrat strongholds" like Minnesota and California has led to federal hearings and policy changes, the Supreme Court's recent rulings on redistricting, such as Louisiana v. Callais (2026), were based on legal challenges regarding unconstitutional racial gerrymandering and the interpretation of the Voting Rights Act."
small print : "AI can make mistakes, so double-check responses"
Had a thought while reading the Iran strategy thread:
The Left can flit around, pick one piece of one issue, and talk just about that. Hammer the dead schoolgirls, or the price of oil, or people losing the right to vote, or whatever.
The Right, to defend our policies logically, have to give detailed explanations that go all over the place, that look like a conspiracy theorist's wall yarn chart.
Voting: blue cities print up fake ballots to tilt swing states to the left, and in order to fight that, we have to clean up the voter rolls, require voter ID, minimize mail in voting, etc, etc. The listener either falls asleep or thinks Rightie spends way too much time thinking about this shit.
Iran: It's part of a grand global strategy to keep the ChiComs from taking over. We have to control chokepoints like Hormuz and Panama. We have to neutralize ChiCom allies like Venezuela and Iran. Russia might benefit from some of this, but that will encourage Russia to rejoin the West. The price of oil will go up, but that will help our domestic oil industry - part of our overall industrial policy where we wind up paying higher prices, but pay them to American workers, who can then afford to pay the higher prices. The listener reacts by thinking we just have a circular perpetual motion machine where everything will turn out okay for us.
It is an overcomeable obstacle, especially in this age when rightie constituencies can go to the internet. But it is still an obstacle.
Maybe the way to fight back is to focus on single points of failure in Leftie policies, and do what they do to us? Which forces them to narrate wall-yarn strategies? I dunno. CC, JSM
Ah, I know those sads. When I was 17, in the earliest 90s, I got a mustard '67 Karmann Ghia. $2500 in questionable mechanical condition, not least because it was an autostick. Bit wonderful physical condition. Original bumpers. All white original interior. Sunroof that was probably added earlybut was great. Such fun to drive. Felt the road so well. Stopped at a red light, leaned over to my glove compartment, my foot came off thr brake, and while my head was down I rolled into the pickup in front of me. Low car of mine meant my nose took his bumper. Caved it in. Heartbroken even if fixable.

Back before I retired and we moved to the Shenandoah Valley we lived near a lake in Fairfax County, Virginia. And a flock of Canadian geese* would regularly fly from the lake to the lush lawns in our suburban development to eat grass da. Whenever I saw the flock on my lawn I’d come out on the deck and yell at them, making them honk and exit the property. But what I found interesting wss that they seemed to know my property boundaries to the inch. They’d cross into my neighbors’ yards, and then just stop and resume eating. One goose would stand there at the very edge of my property with his neck held vertically and lock eyes with me, as though telling me that the flock was off my property (as it was) and they had gone as far as they were going to go.
Amazing. ___________________ * Plus usually two or three bar-headed geese, which are native to India and not at all found in North America.
Geese are essentially helpless in a fight, so being an asshole is all they have to keep threats at bay. It's very similar to how Democrats act when someone threatens their grift, except they have access to firearms.
I don't know how I feel about locking up worker bees for just putting on some Trump swag and infiltrating the crowd. If they did more than that - if they were true agents-provocateurs- then yes. Or if the indictments are an investigative tool to make them lawyer up and name names above them in exchange for dismissal, then heck yeah. CC, JSM
Trump isn't running in the mid-terms. It's just retail Democrats and Republicans squaring off, and that's good for Republicans, because like them or not, everybody knows they are generally far less crazy, corrupt, and criminal, and more proof is being exposed every single day. Some people don't care, but most do.
Bag, are they "soldiers dedicated enough to bother," or just people doing what they were told? My anecdotal experience from working with the Bureau is they aren't given a lot of room for initiative. Agents-provocateurs would have to be working under orders from several levels above them.
BTW, "what would be the point of dressing up and NOT being provocative?" is what I say when I do that last mirror check before leaving the house every day....CC, JSM
"...not a single one of the Trump/MAGA supporters here will blame him."
My support for Trump and his policies is not dependent on how many people are smart enough to agree with success. The alternative of voting for someone who refuses to do the right things is never considered, no matter how many people are sold on that. Just like I always knew ABBA sucks, despite their popularity.
I'm old enough to remember a great pre-election fanfare that the January 6th surveillance tapes were all going to be released so that the public could go to work sleuthing them and the Reddit autists could drive the DOJ and FBI crazy by showing all of the evidentiary connections, one frame at a time. Then they got released and almost immediately closed back up again. Funny, that. So - you say the FBI had a bunch of agents salted into the crowd, eh? Gee. Maybe they ought to release all the tapes. Did Ray Epps get a pardon? There were so many, it's hard to keep track of 'em.
"Bag, are they "soldiers dedicated enough to bother," or just people doing what they were told? "
Good point. The dedicated soldiers are the people above them who gave the orders, but I was also thinking about the apparently ANTIFA people who were videoed changing from their anarchists garb into MAGA dress at the protest. They weren't doing that just to make the crowd look larger.

You need coyotes to keep those geese under control. The idea is that they are supposed to head up to Canadian grasslands and overwhelm the predators with sheer numbers, and then they fly away en masse, and starve those same predators over the winter in order to keep ;predator numbers down. Lack of predators that can handle them in the US has led to the proliferation of these filthy birds outside of their natural areas.
That's a very poorly planned road in the last video. It goes straight into the water. Are there hundreds of submerged cars at that point? They should put up a fence or something. At least put up a warning sign, so people know they are going to drown in a few minutes so they can make peace with their god.
I have often said that all taxonomy is political, and species have been defined by behavior before, when they want to justify regulations to protect "endangered" species by limiting land use, when genetically identical populations exist in large numbers, that live different lifestyles.
Where am I going with this? well, given that these birds are non migratory now, they should not be protected by the migratory birds treaty, and should be fair game for any landowners suffering infestations of these "American geese."
