Isn't it amazing how blase all the DC Republicans are about the upcoming elections and their possible wipeout. Its hilarious to remember 2016, when they were all screeching "We have to save the Senate". Does anyone give a flying fuck whether the R's keep control of the Senate or not? I certainly dont.
There's never been a group of Senators who hated their own voters and their own President as much as the current Republicans in 2026. Its a perfect example of why democracy doesn't work. Either the R voters don't really care about the things they claim to, or they're such morons they keep nominating and voting for clowns who hate them.
Of course, trying to figure out what goes in the head of Republican voters is almost impossible. Or should I say Conservative Republicans. For example, after his loss in 2000 to Bush 43, McCain went "maverick" and spent the next 8 years helping the D's stop the Republican agenda, stabbing bush in the back, and pushing Amnesty. The D's and MSM loved him so much that Kerry offered him the VP Slot.
And the R voters then punished McCain, by nominating him for POTUS! How can you understand such clowns?
@SawyerMerritt NASA’s Artemis II livestream really makes you appreciate @SpaceX’s launch broadcasts.
Bad camera tracking, no onboard cameras, countdown timer disappeared, NASA even showed people in the crowd instead of stage separation lol. The screen also blacked out twice during the first 10 seconds of the launch. https://x.com/SawyerMerritt/status/2039489161401676197
I went to Birmingham today with my new business partner. He offered to drive and we went in his ‘99 Corvette. He’s a Vette guy and has several, including a ‘67 Stingray that’s flawless - even the original paint.
The one we took today has an expensive aftermarket exhaust that was sonically delightful. And we both agreed that an electric vehicle just falls flat. A car has to sound good…
We ate lunch at the Homewood location of celebrity barbecuer Rodney Scott. Good barbecue is a delicate process and I can’t imagine franchising such a thing because it’s so finicky.
I had the Carolina pork plate, mac and cheese, potato salad, and a piece of cornbread. Each item was as good as it could possibly be. We were both stunned. If Rodney has a restaurant near you then I would highly recommend giving it a try. And I rarely give out barbecue praise…

For those of you still arguing the fine points of constitutional law regarding birthright citizenship, here's a very relevant statistic that i noticed today: 9% of all the babies born in the USA in 2023 were born to illegal aliens or other immigrants who didn't have legal permanent status here. Chew on that for a while as you prepare your debate points.
There was indeed an Artemis party at SpaceX. They had the Krispy Kreme Artemis limited edition donuts. Engineers are easy to please. As long as you are shooting off $40B rockets of course.

Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights was a letdown. It was pure Ilia Malinin at the 2026 Olympics - massive build-up followed by a dramatic face-plant. The movie repeatedly trotted out these pretentious overhead shots, aiming for deep meaning but delivering nothing but clichés.
The hilarious thing about NASA is that anyone expected them to do better. Their purpose, not long after we landed on the moon, became to make money through graft, corruption, and incompetence. The fate of most government bureaucracies. Who, besides a government, would ever let a cost plus contact? The more incompetent you are, the more money you make.
Getting a man on the moon was a legitimate NASA goal. But after that, they lost focus. The more goals that a bureaucracy can have, the less accountable their bureaucrats become. So what if NASA hasn’t got back to the moon, in over a half century, just look at their successes in DEI contracting and Muslim outreach (thank you Barack Hussein Obama II for that NASA objective).
Why hasn’t NASA been able to even think of achieving reusability? Because there was no reason to, and good reasons not to - it would have cut the graft available. Why can the Chinese probably do it in the near future. Of course, partly because they are good at copying things. But also, partly because of their reward and penalty system. In most big bureaucratic systems in our country, the reward for failure is promotion. In China, it is still imprisonment or execution. Some graft is expected. But the penalty for embarrassing your political boss can be death.
He looks a man defeated. He started this war assuming that Iran would neither target other Gulf States or close the Strait of Hormuz and simply has no idea now what to do.
He can't walk away while the Strait is shut, it leaves his Gulf allies high and dry, the world economy in taters, ever higher gas prices for US consumers and the US Fifth Naval Fleet unable to return to their base of Bahrain.
In 1965, US Air Force General Curtis LeMay said of the North Vietnamese: "“We’re going to bomb them back into the Stone Age". In '73, however, the US withdrew from Vietnam and in '75, Saigon fell to the North Vietnamese. The US is still led by braggarts.

Bruce, did you watch any of NASA's coverage of the launch? About T-minus 60, they put up a hype video talking about how Artemis was built from production in all 50 states. No private business concern would be promoting a supply chain so complex, but for NASA, that's the feature. And despite $2 billion in hardware splashing into the Atlantic Ocean never to be used again; we are told for "each dollar spent, $3 dollars goes back into the economy".
Tesla's stock falls as delivery report suggests the company is 'actively sacrificing' EVs ~ Morningstar
$1.37T market cap. 341x PE. There's a lot of hope priced in. If you want a 10% return for all that risk, Tesla needs to generate $137B a year in free cash flow. At 1.69mm vehicles sold, that's a mere $81,000 per vehicle. More than the average price. The math doesn't math. Ah yes, but I forget, it's no longer a car company despite manufacturing and selling cars being its only meaningful revenue source. And investors are willing to pay Musk $1T for this, more than the entire profit history or future of the company.

The left’s argument for birthright citizenship is obviously insane but it’s even more insane when you consider that they actually don’t believe in your or my “birthright.” We are on stolen land and don’t belong here, according to them. But the anchor baby whose parents got here from Guatemala 10 seconds ago has a “birthright” and is tied to this nation by blood for all time. That’s actually their position. It’s so psychotic that you can’t even argue against it. Like trying to have a political debate with a dog. These people are not rational.

Notice that the liberal justices suddenly refer to unborn babies as people with full rights when the subject changes from abortion to immigration

Well well well… it was acceptable when she said it during her campaign, but unacceptable when Trump is actually carrying it out.
I’d say this didn’t age well, but it’s really just the hypocrisy.

Democratic Party leaders filed suit Wednesday to block President Donald Trump’s attempt to limit voting by mail ahead of the midterm elections.
So the all-time appointer of the most rogue judges declares:
“I don’t know how it can be challenged. ... You may find a rogue judge,” he told reporters in the Oval Office. “You get a lot of rogue judges, very bad, bad people, very bad judges."
Trump is attempting to end the American citizenship of Marco Rubeo, Kash Patel, Mehmet Oz, Usha Vance and Nikki Haley -just to name some GOP politicians.
THANK GOD, there are still good people like this mother....

BREAKING - A Baltimore mom is receiving massive praise after returning to the same food stand her son robbed just days before to reconcile with the owner, return the money, and apologize for her son’s actions, confirming she placed him in a treatment facility.

Trump.
First President to...
be wiretapped & spied on,
be impeached twice & acquitted twice,
be raided by the FBI,
be censored on social media,
be indicted not once, but FOUR times,
and the first PERSON to have a judge impose a $350 million fine in a civil case where not a single law was broken, there were zero victims, & all loans were paid back on time.
I will always stick with the guy all of that happened to because CLEARLY he’s the one the elite deep state fears the most.

@wendybar, damned right!
I wonder how much wendybar is paid to promote X on here daily.
Wendybar, your comments are always excellent. Don’t stop. Mark is a tool/fool.
Lots of sour grapes from the Marxist bots. It must have been a bad day for them.
@Wendybar, your morning comments are a good start to my day.

Trump -- with all the gear but no idea.
Mike Johnson WORM OF THE CENTURY MAGA CERTIFIED will now eat the DHS CRAP SANDWICH he called a joke last week,He got his marching orders and of course the Speaker is owned by the president. Backbone and individual courage has long gone from the MAGA regime.. MIKE JOHNSON WORM OF THE CENTURY. He'll have to pray little harder for a spine..

“Any truth to the rumors that Trump asked Pam Bondi if ICE could send illegals to the moon?”
That was Ralph Kramden, not Trump.
Bondi gone. Patel next?
