Pretty much as you'd expect. Andrew McCabe forbid virtually all investigation into the Clinton Foundation. Sally Yates played a prominent, obstructive role.
"Paul Abbate, then the assistant director in charge of the Washington Field Office, described McCabe as "negative," "annoyed," and "angry" about the Clinton Foundation cases, with McCabe saying that "they [the DOJ] say there's nothing here" and with McCabe asking "why are we even doing this?""
Reminder, there was a concerted effort at all levels of the government to undermine Trump at every turn during his first term. Life long Republicans like Comey, simply ignored evidence that Russiagate was made up by the Hillary campaign, for one thing.
Not only that, but she lied on her campaign disclosure, and called the expenses she paid to the firm that made up the lies "legal expenses" instead of campaign expenses. Had Trump done something like that, he would have faced jail time, Hillary? She gets a nominal fine.
The Mueller investigation went on for two years, despite the written evidence that we now have that the CIA knew that Russiagate was a Hillary campaign op within a day of learning about it.
Trump has been plunging the bowels of the Democratic estate residuals from the Obama/Biden/Clinton administration. It seems that the government has now removed the "burdens" propelling progress and obstructing the health of State, and the kings and queens in the judiciary are selfie-identifying.
So Pam Bondi fired the International Affairs Specialist who thought it was a good idea to throw an Italian hogie sandwich at an FBI officer in DC today.
The most intersting part of all this is that the man - named by the NY Post as Sean Charles Dunn, 37 - isn't even a lawyer.
He has no law degree. And yet he falsely claims he is a trial attorney in his LinkedIn profile.
There's no evidence he's ever even been to law school. He's a graduate of some no-name retard school in Harrisonburg.
He is gay though. Which seems to guarantee employment of dubious nature in our nation's capital.
He will now fight his firing and win, defeating the US Department of Justice because all the judges that decide this stuff in DC are also in the gay community. That will look very good on his resume.
He also purchased that sandwich at Subway, so because there's so little actual food in that sandwich, he wasn't charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
Who the fuck is still eating at Subway besides this guy and noted French actor Juicy Smollet?
Putin is making a huge fool out of Trump, playing him like a fiddle…
“”Putin’s visit to the U.S.A. means the total collapse of the whole concept of isolating Russia. Total collapse,” Kremlin-controlled television crowed after news of the hastily arranged summit broke last weekend.
For Russia, “this is a breakthrough even if they don’t agree on much,” said Sergei Mikheyev, a pro-war Russian political scientist who is a mainstay of state television.
The deadline passed with no pause in the war — the fighting has in fact intensified as Russia pushes forward with a summer offensive — and no new economic penalties on Russia.
“Instead of getting hit with sanctions, Putin got a summit,” said Ryhor Nizhnikau, a Russia expert and senior researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. “This is a tremendous victory for Putin no matter what the result of the summit.””
"Wasn’t Trump sworn in to the presidency in 2017?"
Yes, and McCabe's shutdown of any investigation into Hillary's email server and the related Clinton Foundation pay-to-play activities occurred in 2016.
ChatGPT estimates the chances of Nancy Pelosi’s stock trades beating not only the market but virtually every hedge fund on Wall Street by large margins for 10 consecutive years as 1 in 1.7 million.
Half the reason for Crossfire Hurricane scam itself was to paralyze the legal arm of the Trump administration. Inter alia, it got AG Sessions to recuse himself and cede control of the DOJ within this sphere.
"Half the reason for Crossfire Hurricane scam itself was to paralyze the legal arm of the Trump administration."
Hell, more than half. I'd say the whole thing. They knew in the summer of 2016 the Russian collusion charge was a hoax, but they extended it to tie his hands, and possibly enable an indictment for obstruction.
I still think if they hadn’t done of this and Trump won AND Pelosi had gone to him to make deals, he possibly would have gone the Schwarzenegger route. What were they so afraid of?
"I still think if they hadn’t done of this and Trump won AND Pelosi had gone to him to make deals, he possibly would have gone the Schwarzenegger route. What were they so afraid of?"
Your question implies they actually care about policy. They don't.
The “legitimate worry” is the existential threat Democrats pose to America because they will stop at NOTHING to regain their control of and access to the U.S. Treasury.
The only thing I can think of is that our government was so infiltrated with China sympathizers and agents that the backing away from China was the catalyst for a lot of this.
The first thing that came from Crossfire Hurricane was the elimination of Gen. Michael Flynn, who was intimately familiar with the Intelligence Community and its bad habits, and knew how to find out stuff. He had to go. You notice that our Director of National Intelligence, Ms. Gabbard, has been rather busy? And the second prong of this coup offensive was to make sure the DOJ was on opposition footing from Day 1, all the way through. Between Justice and Intelligence, the Deep State figured they had Trump cornered, but as the old marine saying goes, 'I'm surrounded - I've got them right where I want them'.
Oaky Donnie just as I seen it coming. Run it to around late November than put the drop in and I'll still ad that extra $ 80 plus for my NYRA BETS ACCOUNT each month. Social Security's estimated 2026 cost-of-living adjustment rises amid inflation uptick The projection for Social Security's annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for next year is getting higher, according to a new report. The Senior Citizens League on Tuesday released an update that showed its model now forecasts the 2026 COLA will be 2.7% as of July – an increase from its previous estimates of 2.5% in May and 2.6% in June. The uptick comes as inflation has trended higher in recent months. Social Security's COLA is used to adjust the amounts paid to beneficiaries to account for inflation pushing prices higher, and the COLA for 2025 was 2.5% and took effect at the start of the year. Keep it up Don we knew we could count on your nonsense to fuk things up..Dont forget drop it bck in late November and all will be well.
In the movie Black Bag ***spoiler alert*** the agents stop a plot BUT it’s a plot their agency created. And here so much effort was spent covering actions - that if they hadn’t done them in the first place - they would have been in a much better position to deal with Trump.
FormerLawClerk (8:11pm): Is it true that the sub-checker "falsely claims he is a trial attorney in his LinkedIn profile"? I've already noted in a previous thread that there are numerous Twitter reports that there are (or were) two Sean Dunns at DOJ, one a lawyer on LinkedIn, the other this guy. You need to make sure you have the right guy before accusing him of anything.
“Their arrogance, running an operation against a duly elected president, was appalling.” I understand that part. Once he was elected they had to cover up their reelection actions. It’s those pre-election actions that I don’t understand.
Hillary created a private server/e-mail - to hide her deals what she was Obama's Secretary of State. Clinton Foundation corruption + Russian money flow to it. All secret. She still needs to pay for that.
On May 20, 2022 — a year after John Durham had obtained evidence showing that the draft Soviet Intelligence (SVR) report that he always claimed was the basis of his investigation was based on “composite” emails, and as such, proof that the SVR was framing Hillary Clinton — his lead prosecutor, Andrew DeFilippis, openly defied a judge’s order. DeFilippis instructed Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager, Robby Mook, to read a quote from Jake Sullivan about the Alfa Bank anomalies saying, “This secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump’s ties to Russia. It certainly seems the Trump Organization felt it had something to hide, given that it took steps to conceal the link when journalists discovered it.”
The inclusion of the Tweet as trial evidence immediately created a firestorm among credulous journalists, leading right-wingers, including Elon Musk, to claim this was proof of “an elaborate hoax about Trump and Russia.”
What should have been the two final interviews on Durham’s Clinton conspiracy conspiracy theory investigation — the July 21 interview in which Julianne Smith disclaimed any knowledge of the Clinton plan and a July 8 2021 grand jury appearance where Pete Strzok denied receiving a referral mentioning it — happened almost five years after the events in question. The clock on any 5-year statue of limitations was ticking and Trump-appointed special counsel Durham pivoted by bailing by using unprovable charges against Sussmann and Danchenko despite twisting his supposed facts but he had to lose.
Now Tulsi and Kash are playng more of retailiation games.
I’m surprised. Not one of the usual posters here who oppose Mr. Trump has brought this up.
Jared Lane Wise was at the Capitol on Jan. 6 shouting “Kill ’em!” at police during the violent Lower West Terrace tunnel assault, got pardoned, and is now a senior adviser in the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group.
Sean Charles Dunn, while also hurling invective, tossed a sandwich at an agent in D.C., got fired on the spot, and is facing a felony.
Surprised. I mean with both of these gentlemen being DOJ employees.
A man named Sean Charles Dunn was arrested, charged with assault and was fired from his job at DOJ following a viral incident in which he threw a sandwich at a federal officer while shouting “Fuck you! You fucking fascists! Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city!”
Sandwich throwing is insulting at worst, but unlikely an assault and First Amendment rights are no longer granted. The type of sandwich wasn't specified but PB&J might be harmful if it gooped up on someone allergic to peanut butter,
Subway's "Italian B.M.T." and "Spicy Italian" sandwiches both include Genoa salami. Additionally, the "Cold Cut Combo" features salami alongside ham and bologna
Hunter Biden said on Channel Five: "What I said was what I have heard and seen reported and written, primarily from Michael Wolff, but also dating back all the way to 2019 when The New York Times, I think, Annie Carney and Maggie Haberman reported that sources said that Jeffrey Epstein claimed to be the person to introduce Donald Trump to Melania at that time."
Melania and Donald will not dare to open this can of worms.
Just watched “Winter Kills” on TCM. It’s Richard Condon’s satirical look at the Kennedy assassination. The mob did it because Papa Joe absconded with a $2 million bribe and the president wouldn’t force Castro out, so the mob could reopen their casinos. It must be true because Richard Condon said so. We can now put to rest all of the conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination.
“Sandwich throwing is insulting at worst, but unlikely an assault and First Amendment rights are no longer granted. The type of sandwich wasn't specified but PB&J might be harmful if it gooped up on someone allergic to peanut butter,”
Sorry. No 1st Amdt rights here. This was an employer/employee relationship, and essentially the guy publicly criticized his boss - Trump. The Deep State hobbled, and almost emasculated, Trump’s first term with their #Resistance. Not going to happen this term. There is no presumption of nonpartisanship this time around, with Executive Branch employees and contractors.
Note though that he was charged with a felony, before he was identified as working for the DOJ, and fired. How does the DOJ prosecute one of their own? They don’t, when the subject is this political. So, he’s no longer one of their own. Conflict of interest solved.
Sources said Epstein told them he introduced Melania to Trump. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Fucking hilarious. Well sources told me that Biden‘s first wife left one day on a suicide murder expedition. Took her kids in a car and made sure she ran a traffic light and was T-boned by a poor sap who was libeled as a drunk driver by the scumbag who drove her to it. And there is not a doubt in my mind it’s true.
Gadfly: "Sandwich throwing is insulting at worst, but unlikely an assault "
Ok, this is a law blog. Get out your outlines.
Assault: placing the victim in apprehension of imminent harmful or offensive contact.
Battery (which the DC Code gloms into the Assault statute): actually making harmful or offensive contact.
Dunn committed assault before the sandwich even made contact: when he started screaming at the agent within arm's reach. That would make any reasonable person think (apprehend) that she is about (imminent) to be touched (offensive contact) or hit (harmful contact).
Cocks his arm back to throw the sub? Now even more of an assault. Anyone would think they're about to get a faceful of sandwich.
Sandwich lands on the agent? Now it's a battery, or as the DC Code calls it, a completed assault.
I was convicted for shoving a man five feet. He went on dancing after the donnybrook. Definitely not harmful contact. Guess the dancer and the judge thought it was "insulting" (offensive) contact.
Eva Marie: "I still think if they hadn’t done of this and Trump won AND Pelosi had gone to him to make deals, he possibly would have gone the Schwarzenegger route. What were they so afraid of?"
True. I think they had a few things in their minds:
- for over a year, the Dems had been calling him all sorts of epithets: racist, sexist, Worse Than Hitler (tm), etc. Difficult for them to turn on a dime, especially with the 2018 election coming up.
- The 45 admin was an Island of Lost Toys of every Republican misfit, which made it unpredictable, even with Trump being "moderate" at the helm. Other commenters have mentioned Gen Flynn, who would have been tossing skeletons out of the IC's closet for four years. McMaster was also a military guy who never worked and played well with the more conventional types. Had Sessions not been gelded, who knows what sort of rightie mischief he would have gotten up to. Navarro and Stone were there to whisper in Trump's ear. And of course the only remotely organized part of the 45 Admin was the effort to get rightie judges and Justices on the federal bench.
The GOP establishment also wouldn't have liked a Schwarzenegger-style Trump.
Both sides of the aisle just couldn't take the risk of empowering him.
This wasn’t just a sub toss, it was a fastball high and tight. How dumb can you be? And then he/she/they flees a battalion of cops like a spooked rabbit.
DOJ employee? Just tells how many Trump haters remain embedded in the federal government.
Sandwich throwing is insulting at worst, but unlikely an assault and First Amendment rights are no longer granted.
Did you see what Merrick Garland did to a man that pushed an older man away from his son. And Garland did it, despite witnesses and other law enforcement saying it was self-defense. Garland did it because he didn't like the man's speech because of its location.
In this case, we saw video. The officers are initially walking away from the ranting lunatic Dunn. They literally crossed to the other side of the street to get away from him. Dunn pursued them. When they simply stood there and listened to him; Dunn wasn't happy about not getting his way. Regardless of what you think throwing a sandwich means, Dunn new exactly what it meant, because it barely left his hands before he was trying to evade arrest.
gadfly said: "Melania and Donald will not dare to open this can of worms." *********** Heh. She's already threatened to sue Hunter, big time, if he doesn't retract his slander. Some "can of worms"!
gadfy bloviated “Sandwich throwing is insulting at worst, but unlikely an assault and First Amendment rights are no longer granted. The type of sandwich wasn't specified but PB&J might be harmful if it gooped up on someone allergic to peanut butter,”
So you knew what was in that sandwich? You know for a fact the officer knew what was in that sandwich? You're not a serious person.
“ I’m guessing that most federal employees are Trump haters”
Not my experience. For the most part, the ones I have known were small “c” conservative. They traded ambition for security, but were mostly non-partisan. I am talking mostly about the worker bees in less political departments like Agriculture and Commerce, but even Energy.
Some 50 years ago, I tweaked the truth a bit to get on the Civil Service register as a programmer, and made excuses not to take positions, in DC with HEW and IRS, then jumped at my chance at Census (on the 1980 Decennial Census). Jumped to private industry working on government contacts, working daily with, ultimately hundreds of federal government employees. Socialized almost exclusively for better than 15 years. And I can’t remember a single one, whose party affiliation I knew. There were just that apolitical.
One thing that I found interesting was that so many of the FBI people involved in RussiaGate were small “r” Republicans. Even, supposedly Peter Strzok. Their institutional loyalty to their portion of the Deep State trumped their token par Ty registration.

Reminder that DOJ and FBI under GOP control 2017-21.
Reminder, there was a concerted effort at all levels of the government to undermine Trump at every turn during his first term. Life long Republicans like Comey, simply ignored evidence that Russiagate was made up by the Hillary campaign, for one thing.

We need better trolls. Why don't they find evidence to refute the points we make instead of just calling us names?
Trump has been plunging the bowels of the Democratic estate residuals from the Obama/Biden/Clinton administration. It seems that the government has now removed the "burdens" propelling progress and obstructing the health of State, and the kings and queens in the judiciary are selfie-identifying.
Flushing Clinton's Water Closet, exposing Whitmer's Conspiracy, and the Obamacity that will forever remain viable in infamy.

Social Security's estimated 2026 cost-of-living adjustment rises amid inflation uptick
The projection for Social Security's annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for next year is getting higher, according to a new report.
The Senior Citizens League noted that its estimate may continue to evolve in the next few months ahead of the Social Security Administration's official announcement in October, as more inflation data is incorporated into the model. Keep it up Don we knew we could count on your nonsense to fuk things up..Dont forget drop it bck in late November and all will be well.

It was a salami sandwich from Subway - maybe the cold cut sandwich.
Don’t throw sandwiches at cops.

“ DOJ employee? Just tells how many Trump haters remain embedded in the federal government.”
I’m guessing that most federal employees are Trump haters.
Mind how you go.
"sources said that Jeffrey Epstein claimed"
OK.
That would be a first for me, Big Mike @1:44am ☺️
The names of the two Subway sandwiches mentioned -- that's the best thing about them.
Kai Akker: Youre a day late with that reference!

Heh. She's already threatened to sue Hunter, big time, if he doesn't retract his slander. Some "can of worms"!

“Sandwich throwing is insulting at worst, but unlikely an assault and First Amendment rights are no longer granted. The type of sandwich wasn't specified but PB&J might be harmful if it gooped up on someone allergic to peanut butter,”
