"The support I found on this platform helped me face the toughest days..."

From a TikTok video that begins, "If you're reading these words right now, then I have died."
@sarahmandelauthor Our dear Sarah died peacefully in her sleep last night. She was thankfully very calm and comfortable in her final restful days. As throughout her life, she spent her final night surrounded by love. She was cuddled up with her girls, Siena and Sophie, just hours before she died. From end to end Sarah’s life was a work of art - a masterpiece - and her beauty, warmth, and kindness will live on in our memories, especially in our hearts, and also through her paintings, songs, and writing. She brought joy, a sparkle, and a love of life, to every day and lived life with endless passion and hope. Thank you for the love and support you all have provided. I know she felt it all, and loved you all very deeply. #littleearthqaukesmemoir ♬ Intimate Compassion - Instrumental Worship and Prayer

And here is the NYT obituary: "Sarah Mandel, Therapist Who Told Her ‘Trauma Narrative,’ Dies at 42/She received a diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer late in her second pregnancy and described her experience in a book, 'Little Earthquakes: A Memoir.'"

I fucking hate cancer.

Didn't Joe Biden cure cancer?

Really, Joe?

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer when our daughter was about 1. Through a series of weird coincidences, it was caught early and they were able to get it all out (technically a full recovery, but it doesn't feel that way after a double mastectomy and a lifetime of lymphedema). My condolences to her husband and children, who won't get to know their mother.

Yep. You're not lucky because you are good enough to recover and live and stick around. Virtue is not a player in this game. You're lucky because you're lucky enough to still be here. I'm one of the lucky ones.

Embrace every day. Get off your ass and live while you can. My heart goes out to the family, especially those precious children. It would be a better world with this woman in it.

Get yourself checked out, if you suspect anything to be wrong. Don't wait. Don't sit there and worry. Do something.

A rough ride for her, and her family. I'm glad she found a way to express herself and leave a legacy for loved ones that will miss her.

Very touching.

That’s very sad. Damn.

A terrible thing. I sometimes wonder how I would react to such a diagnosis- not sure I could do it with that kind of dignity.

Our neighbor passes in April after fighting cancer. She insisted that a funeral/memorial service not be held for her. After her death, her husband released a YouTube video she made that, to me, was a better eulogy than I’ve seen, because it was her own words of her life and story.

Joe: "Didn't Joe Biden cure cancer?"

At least 4 times over: 3 as VP and once as President!

But then again, with obambi/Dementia-Glitch Boy, we had 8 straight Recovery Summers that weren't, so.....

Damn cancer. That video hit like a ton bricks. RIP Sarah and may God's grace comfort your family.

We all have a terminal "disease" - we all die in the end. Sad she went at 42, but thousands of kids in Gaza have been murdered by Israel with our taxpayer provided bombs. They didn't even get to 18.

Ashli babbitt didn't get to 42 either. Her killer got a medal and applause from Governor Bumstead of ND. Seems she was a "criminal" who deserved to be executed by Lt Byrd on J6, because Senator Mittens and the other old women felt unsafe.

Americans are so weird. blubbering about some poor women who got breast cancer, while shouting "Kill those A-rabs" and "Give Ukraine weapons to kill some Russkies" ala Miss Lindsey.

I am so sad and so grateful at the same time.
My heart breaks for this mother who had to leave this earth far too early. And for her daughters who lost their mother far too early. And for her husband who lost his wife far too early.
I pray for her husband who will bear the weight of this tragedy in so many ways and will need to find strength when it will be overwhelming.
I am grateful because I found my breast cancer early. I am only 1 year out from my diagnoses but am doing well and being thankful for all the blessings in my life.
Women - please get your mammograms. And stop bitching about that they hurt. 15 minutes of discomfort is so worth it!

RCOCEAN II said..."thousands of kids in Gaza have been murdered by Israel" You mean Hamas' actions have led to the deaths of many in Gaza and Israel.
