This is the third post of the morning and, like the previous two, it has a title consisting of one word that's in the news this morning. I can see from the comments in those other posts and in last night's open thread, that people especially want to talk about "bloodbath."
I feel so pushed to talk about "bloodbath" this morning that I balk at churning out a "bloodbath" post. You already know what you want to say. Is it my job to expound on "bloodbath" as it relates to the free-speaking raconteur Donald Trump and his gasping, raging antagonists?
I'll just feed your bloodbathlust with my favorite "bloodbath" quotations from the OED:
1832 England has escaped the blood-bath of a French Revolution. T. Carlyle in Fraser's Magazine May 407/11834 On blood-baths... According to a dark tradition,..the ancient kings of Egypt used to bathe in human blood when they were seized with leprosy. London Medical Gazette 22 February 813
1989 In an interview after the victory, Daley sought to assure Blacks that there would be no personnel bloodbath at City Hall. Jet 24 April 9/11992 The tough, black-browed colonel to whom I never spoke until he warned me for a late tackle in a bloodbath of a Cumberland Rugby Cup match after the war. G. M. Fraser, Quartered Safe out Here 351994 His people did badly everywhere—and atrociously in the South, where the Democrats endured a bloodbath in a region they used to monopolise. Evening Standard (Nexis) 9 November 92003 I've travelled all the way down from Moscow to take a blood bath... Independent (Nexis) 20 June 122005 Evangelical Christians are ‘raptured’ up to heaven, leaving secular humanists to perish in an epic bloodbath. It's different when Trump says Bloodbath, apparently.
Isn't "the end of democracy" worse than a "bloodbath"?
Or does it just depend on who's standing on the bully pulpit and wielding the jawbone?
One man’s bloodbathlust is another’s jawbone.
I don’t know if that’s misinformation, but it sounds good. Probably because I don’t remember hearing it before, and truly, whatever comes from me sounds good to me.
One might say that the bloodbath has caused a bloodbath for the Professor's patience.
"Democracy dies in Bloodbath", WaPo headline the day after the election, if Trump somehow manages to win.
I swear, if the FJB administration’s use of the bully pulpit translates to any more jawboning at the state and local levels, there’s gonna be a bloodbath!
When Creighton plays Oregon, it will be a bloodbath.
The claim that Trump threatened the country with violence if he doesn't win is one of the more outrageous media lies I have seen in my lifetime- no one with an IQ in the triple digits who actually heard the word in the context Trump used it could possibly have believed that was how he meant it, so they are either morons or liars.
That GM Fraser quote is from one of the great war memoirs. He was a tommy in Burma.
The sad thing is that we're going to have some non-metaphorical bloodbaths, regardless of and quite apart from the election results. Possibly well before the election.
It has become a tired trope, hasn't it? I tune out what Donald Trump says, and I watch what he does. So much angst about Trump's orating ! If you tune out what he says, it makes it even easier to tune out how it's being maliciously yanked out of context and distorted to serve his opponents. If you start with the premise that Trump, speaking publicly, is an absurdist, then all of that responsive animus and malice becomes but a background murmur. Much easier to take it, that way. Trump is simply baiting his opposition, because they lack the self-awareness to realize they're even more absurd when they take the bait.
It's a shame there's no Elizabeth Báthory in the OED list. She's probably the most famous blood bather of them all.
@Althouse, I see that the OED — or you, personally — chose to leave out Countess Elizabeth Báthory of Hungary (though the lands she owned are today in Slovakia).
The bloodbath of a person of female sex and feminine gender's period.
The bloodbath of human rites performed for social, clinical, political, criminal, and climate progress.
Bloodbath were once considered a rejuvenating experience in a Lazarus effect.
It's tiresome isn't it? This is just like the "fine people" hoax. They count on stupid Americans not to seek out the truth, nor the context of what was said. Just like "drink bleach". You REALLY have to be tuned out or stupid to believe this shit.
And...you have to be evil to push it as an assigned narrative. Nobody worse on the current "bloodbath" hoax that Joe Scarborough. That condescending look of seriousness on Mika's face sitting next to him makes you want to puke.
Democrats are setting us up for a summer of violence. Same as summer of 2020.
I predict in future dictionaries a new definition of "bloodbath" will appear:
"bloodbath" n. A wild overstatement, particularly created by miscontextualization.
It's okay for everybody else to say it except Trump. Isn't that what is happening with ANYTHING Trump says and does?? When it was said or done before...nobody batted an eye, but TRUUUUUMMMMMPPPPP....OMGGGGGG, our Demmmmmocccracccyyyyyyy is under attack!!!!!
It's quite hilarious watching the Progressives melt down in fear because they know they are losing and have to create hoaxes to spew to the idiots who watch and believe the MSM lies.
OED doesn't matter. Context doesn't matter. The fact everybody in politics has used that term doesn't matter. The fact everybody in media has used that term doesn't matter. The fact everybody knows that he isn't promising more J6 "bloody insurrections" doesn't matter.
Get Trump, Inc. is all that matters to the idiots that have made this a thing. So the barking hyenas all bark the same song, doing just exactly what Trump knew they would do ("more bloody insurrections" being my favorite twisting of his words to date). Just like he knew the man he addressed in his remarks, Xi Jinping, would also get the message loud and clear, as would the auto workers currently facing that bloodbath if Joe is reelected. Which is what he was saying, if you didn't already know.
So everybody knows and the certain somebody's pretend to misunderstand while their audiences shrink away day by day.
Blood bath is a trumpian word. Overstated, exaggerated, and colorful. I never met anyone who used it in real life. Whenever I've hear/read its ususally in relationship to the finacial markets. The bulls are "taking a blood-bath". It was a "blood bath" today on wallstreet.
The MSM is just doing what they've been doing to Trump for 7 years. Lying about him. Taking his quotes out of context and pretending he meant something he didn't. Taking an ambigious statement and putting the dumbest most negative interpetation on it, etc.
What never ceases to amaze me, is how they all coordinate the message. Yahoo news/Google News/ABC/NBC/CBS/PBS/CNN/MSNBC/AP/WaPo/NYT/NPR all come out with the same story, with the same slant, at the same time. Usually, they use the same "Key words". I wonder if the network execs copied each other on Emails. I wouldn't doubt it.
BTW, The only wild cards are the Fox/NY Post. Sometimes they will join in, sometimes they wont.
I get tired of hearing the "party line" but I'm glad others pushback, so the dumb "independents" understand what is going on.
If Trump wins, even your birdbath will run red with blood. Do you think your little, feathered friends are going to want to frolic in blood? Most will not. They won't come around anymore and soon they'll forget about you. Don't say you weren't warned.
No mention of Báthori Erzsébet (Elizabeth Bathory) I'm sad. But full points for mentioning at least two actual blood baths.
We may also add more modern versions of curative uses of blood

Trump is leading in the polls which makes him a serious contender but as he moves further into the lead, the media behave more and more like trained seals, barking out the word of the day in unison. Maybe we could call the word of the day, the "mword," from "media word." Look at the typing we'd save. Instead of saying the "the media word trending over the last few days", we just say "mword." For instance: I wonder if the mword is trending in any way? The mword was "fiery" as in Joe Biden's fiery SOTU speech. Now it's "bloodbath." By the summer, scenes at the Dem convention will be "apocalyptic" if mword trends continue. But is the mword peaking too early? For after "apocalypse," what? Galactic imagery? Trump becoming a "black hole" sucking in all the votes? followed by the "Big Bang" of his inauguration? and then the "heat death" of the left and the end of mwords?
You know I am a longtime user of Twitter, and am on it every morning.
Let me observe that just THIS WEEKEND there has been a notable SURGE -- I daresay a tsunami -- of Democrats on X and in all my feeds. They are pouring in and showing up like crazy, like never before, or at least since Twitter became X and a lot of em left (?).
I figure I'm watching the 2024 Obamabot playbook and schedule in real time.
March 2024: swarm twitter w utter garbage and hate!
it's going to be a long year.
I'm so sorry for you that your blooging duties required you to take on the word "bloodbath."
Would it have been easier for you to have taken on the word "hostages," or perhaps the word "animals" in the context of the Trump speech in Ohio?
"as it relates to the free-speaking raconteur Donald Trump and his gasping, raging antagonists?"
Really?!. Donald Trump is a free-speaking" raconteur while his critics are "gasping, raging antagonists".
Whatever happened to "cruel neutrality"?
Would you at least consider the possibility that Trump is not a "free-speaking raconteur" and is basically an old man yelling at people to get off his lawn?
His description of a bloodbath (which you apparently believe was badly misinterpreted) was ambiguous at best. He might indeed been referring only to the automobile industry. But of course he added ""Now if I don't get elected, it's gonna be a bloodbath for the whole, that's gonna be the least of it, it's gonna be a bloodbath for the country, that'll be the least of it." So he arguably not talking about just the automobile industry but the entire country". (Actually, it will apparently be worse than a bloodbath, maybe an olympic sized bloodpool).
Wow, this sounds way worse than a bloodbath!
"The introduction of cheap Chinese autos - which are so inexpensive because they are backed with the power and funding of the Chinese government - to the American market could end up being an extinction-level event for the U.S. auto sector," the Alliance for American Manufacturing said in a report - Reuters
What really is freaking them out is not a word that has become anodyne through use over the centuries, but the fact that Donald Trump is speaking to union workers, who are supposed to be owned by the Democrats, and suggesting that maybe Joe Biden doesn't have their bast interests at heart. It sounds stupid, the way they are framing it, and it is easy to ridicule, which is part of its success as a strategy, because nobody is talking about how Donald Trump is the guy looking out for autoworkers, are they? I can see the people driving the media agenda tapping their foreheads now and saying "not so stupid..."
Here are some definitions to help you keep up with US politics
A demagogue: A person who explains to the turkeys the purpose of a turkey farm.
Populism: When the turkeys begin to organize against Thanksgiving.
"Our democracy" Is when the turkeys are allowed to vote, as long as their candidates are all for Thanksgiving.
The insanity is that what Trump actually said wasn't a call for violence. It was a call for idiotic economic policies. He called for a 100% tariff on importation of foreign cars. If you've been to an auto dealership in the last few years, you know that vehicles already cost about twice what they should.
Next week he'll figure this out and announce different policies. If we succeed in electing him, it will be less bad than reelecting Biden, but it's not going to be great. The guy is erratic.
my favorite bloodbath quote:
“What we can’t let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath,” Biden said to a group of donors during his 2020 campaign.
After Laken Riley dying at the hands of an illegal here in Georgia”, I’m hearing in the news about the death of other Americans at the hands of illegal aliens. Before Riley, that was a no no. So, if other people process information the way I do, maybe it’s not so bad that Trump is dropping the word blood here and there.
Biden’s open border policy is literally spilling blood and treasure.
The Mushroom Media Conspiracy are churning out incendiary stories about how violent DJT is. No mention of "bloodbath" rhetoric they've used over the years. "Bloodbath" is only acceptable for Democrat/Barbarians.
How is it the Dems' fault that Trump is reckless with his mouth? How is it anyone's fault when he repeatedly gives ammunition to his detractors? Why is everyone else to blame when he could avoid 90 percent of his troubles by just exercising a little discipline?
Why should people need to constantly explain or excuse what Trump recklessly says?
Lucky me, I don't have any idea why bloodbath is in the news. Blissfully ignorant, and gonna stay that way on this subject.
I recall flipping thru the cable channels once long ago, when I hit upon a news channel. A reporter stood in front of a local hospital entrance, and I heard him say, "No one knows at this time why the brains were put in jars, or why they were buried in the front yard of the hospital..." and then I clicked forward to the next channel because some things I just don't need to know.
Happy Monday!
The only blood that spilled during J6 was Trump supporter blood, when Ashli and Roseann were murdered by the Capitol police. Let's do a comparison between blood spilled there, and the blood spilled in cities all over America that were under attack by Progressive BLM, Antifa, Occupy Wallstreet and all the other Progressive riots.
Donald Trump "recklessly" looking out for the economic welfare of American autoworkers. Scary!
One of the most comical outcomes of this silly flap is how many media doofuses that are now screaming bloody murder -- (oops, can I still say that?)-- about this word are on the record using it in precisely the sense Trump meant it, as an economic calamity leading to large job losses and great hardship. There are also some who have used it as a metaphor for a political rout or landslide.
It all reminds me of the howls of outrage from the Left when Sarah Palin used printer's registration marks on a map of competitive Congressional districts that vaguely resembled the cross-hairs in a rifle scope. Then many, many instances of Democrats using similar or even more explicitly violent imagery came to light-- target bullseyes, arrows, and actual crosshairs, among others. One memorable TV commercial showed the Republican candidate himself being surveilled on video, through a scope with crosshairs centered on his head, looking exactly like the sight picture in the moment before a sniper takes the kill-shot. Its makers were obviously pig-ignorant left wing urban lotus eaters who had never actually looked through a telescopic gunsight, and probably was meant to summon up memories of hidden-camera stings of the sort that 60 Minutes used to do, but to anyone who'd been on a deer hunt it was quite jarring.
The difference this time is that they are getting vigorous pushback, with re-posts of their own previous invocations of the term, served up with plenty of contempt and ridicule. The mockers and jeerers on every "bloodbath" post on Twitter outnumber the left-wingers 20 to 1. It's been glorious. Another major milestone on the way to obliterating any remaining shreds of public trust and credibility that the parrots and puppets of the regime news media still cling to.

Mark,
It is YOUR fault because you keep voting these idiots in. WHY is it okay that they are all reckless with their mouths?? They give Trump ammunition to use on his detractors that drive them crazy because only THEY can use it. Your side could avoid 100 percent of your troubles if you exercised a little less hypocrisy.
Why should normals explain to ignorant Progressives who believe ever hoax the left pushes what is really going on. You and THEY need to grow up and face reality.

Liberals democrats are evil and dumb.
Usually the simplest explanations are the best...
Are you bathed in the blood of the Lamb?
Freder and Mark are tired of the reckless bloodbaths that are Trump's remarks... the recklessiest of bloodiest baths, lots of people will tell you they've never seen bloodbaths like this, very bloodbath much reckless
It’s all out in the open now. Remember the reaction when Trump first started saying that CNN is fake news? Now we all know he was correct, and it wasn’t limited to CNN.
Do "bloodbath" and "blood bath" mean the same thing?
theres a target on the bloodpath
A senior Capitol Hill officer, training, position, and weight class aborted an unarmed woman in a prone position... cold-blooded murder except for a political function.
George "Fentanyl" Floyd Syndrome... thank China, thank illegal... undocumented mules. Some, Select [Black] Lives Matter in nationwide insurrections, neighborhood incursions - deja vu.
Occupy was a selective and liberal rape fest... Occupy Seattle... the city, not Chief.
The Antifa conspiracy of public and private actors. Not a fascist movement.
Freder, IQ 95 or liar- you choose.
This is just another covfefe.
A few anti-trumpers will get spun up over his use of the word and the way the presstitutes spin it.
His fans know what he means, nod their heads and agree that Brandon is killing the auto industry.
A lot, perhaps most, will look at the over the top fake reaction in the media and I think it will drive them away from Brandon and MSM.
I suspect that his use of "bloodbath" and the arguably ambiguous way he used it was 100% on purpose for this reason. I suspect that it will strengthen his support among supporters and increase support among uncommitted.
Well played, president emeritus Trump, Well played.
John Henry
Can't find it now but yesterday or Saturday I saw a supercut of presstitutes using the word bloodbath in a bunch of different contexts. Not just onece or twice, the clip was 5 minutes long

I used to love blood sausage. Morcilla, we call it here.
Does that make me a bad person?

Sounds like you were listening to Trump’s Saturday Ohio rally in real time. Can you tell us how you felt in that moment when Trump used the word “bloodbath?” How did the crowd react? Did you observe hatred? Anger? Bloodlust? Could you see on their faces the desire for insurrection and violent revolution?
This wasn't a wreckless slap of the forked tongues. This was intentionally played for the exact purpose of producing the buzzing kvetching and defending that's dominating the news cycle.
Thank's for playing.
Merriam-Webster:
bloodbath:
1
: a great slaughter
2
a
: a notably fierce, violent, or destructive contest or struggle
the campaign has become a bloodbath
b
: a major economic disaster
a market bloodbath
The left is fine with abortion bloodbaths. We're all ok with bloodbaths in the comments section online. And hyperbole is tolerable certainly if we're telling African-American audiences that Trump will put them "in chains."
Let's do the history of "putting people back in chains," shall we?
"I can see from the comments in those other posts and in last night's open thread, that people especially want to talk about 'bloodbath.'"
I think your readers want to talk about the exposure of blatant dishonesty from the mainstream media, of which "bloodbath" is the latest example and one of the more instructive.
And they're hoping for a blistering critique from their favorite cultural/legal influencer. I've learned to avoid such false hope for it is only occasionally rewarded.
You know, twenty some years ago, the Journalist, Evan Thomas, either the grandson or great-grandson of Norman Thomas of Socialist and perennial presidential candidate fame, speculated/admitted/boasted that the Democrats had a built in 15% advantage due to the favorable press coverage.
What do you suppose that advantage is now. Is it greater due to the leftward movement of the press or is less due to the miseducated (indoctrinated) electorate that has made its way through what pass for insitutiitions of higher learning these days? Those people wouldn't be persuaded of the error of their ways if an illegal immigrant delivering fentanyl to a terrorist group ran a red-light at 75 mph and T boned their Smart Car.
All these comments and no mention of Marat and Charlette Courdet (sp?).

It’s quite humorous. The leftist mediaswine are like barking seals. Trump says something colorful. They intentionally take it out of context, and report how horrible he is, all in unison. People look into it, and most find that what Trump said we as taken out of context, and he was making a good point. The leftist mediaswine end up, once again, looking like the hypocritical humor impaired idiots they are, slavishly following their orders. Their employers lose more audience, eventually losing some of their jobs, while more and more people, in on the joke, think that Trump is a genius. Then they do it again. And again, just like barking seals.
Who doesn't believe that if Trump is elected there will be a bloodbath coming from the left? How can there not be after the relentless media drumbeat of outrage?

Donald Trump "recklessly" looking out for the economic welfare of American autoworkers. Scary!
The idea that Donald Trump is the friend of autoworkers or workers in general is laughable. He has a long history of screwing over workers and contractors. He is adamantly anti-union, which is demonstrated not only his long history as a builder but also through his anti-labor appointments to the NLRB, the courts all the way up to the Supreme Court (I don't know about Coney-Barret, but Kavanaugh and Gorsuch have a long history of hostility to the rights of workers)
“Freder, IQ 95 or liar- you choose.”
Freder has been around here for a long time. Not sure which leftist has been here longer, him or Cook. His earnestness seems genuine. Mark comes across as a fairly bright troll. Freder never has. Just my impression.
People look into it, and most find that what Trump said we as taken out of context, and he was making a good point.
Really, what is the good point (even if you believe that he was only referring to a bloodbath in the auto industry) he was making. Even the promise to impose a 100% tariff on Chinese vehicles imported from Mexico is nonsensical. How exactly would that work? Oh yeah, and while you are at it, explain how he is going to round up all the "illegal" immigrants (which if we believe Trump is somewhere between 10 and 20 million people), deport them, and not explode the deficit and create massive inflation and food shortages?
https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/112117396269015542
So Trump covering his ass constitutes proof of what he was meant.
Sorry, just got out of the bath.
I think Leslie MacAdoo Gordon on X gets it pretty correct:
"I mean, the truth about the “blood bath” hoax is clear: the Left doesn’t want the Right to use any evocative language because it tends to persuade people - by both distilling an issue to an essential point & infusing it with emotion."
How did the crowd react? Did you observe hatred? Anger? Bloodlust? Could you see on their faces the desire for insurrection and violent revolution?
I don't listen or watch Trump rallies. But the level of hatred, anger, bloodlust and the desire for insurrection and violent revolution are very much in evidence on your wife's Blog.
"I suspect that his use of "bloodbath" and the arguably ambiguous way he used it was 100% on purpose for this reason."
If he did what you suspect while speaking extemporaneously then he's even sharper than I give him credit. But that's not what happened.
"Nobody worse on the current "bloodbath" hoax that Joe Scarborough."
Posted by Joe, on X along with a J6 picture: "Donald Trump's America. And he is proud of it. Promised another "bloodbath" if he loses again."
Elon Musk responded: : "Jan 6 was not a "bloodbath" by any definition and Trump was referring to job losses in the auto industry when he used that word. Your post is extremely misleading."
Joe deleted his post. I suppose I can see why- it's a bad look when the owner of the website you're using to spread your irrational hate personally calls you out as a liar.

explain how he is going to round up all the "illegal" immigrants (which if we believe Trump is somewhere between 10 and 20 million people), deport them, and not explode the deficit and create massive inflation and food shortages?
Eisenhower got it done. It was not quite on the same scale, but remarkable nonetheless. Between 1 and 2 million illegal invaders got the message they were no longer wanted and went home voluntarily or involuntarily.
We have millions of idle useless eaters living at the expense of the public. After the Great Deportation, we should announce that all direct government support for locusts and layabouts is now terminated. Any able-bodied welfare bum not caring for young children will instead get a one-way Greyhound bus ticket to a barracks in farm country, where he will pick crops for the new, higher prevailing wage. Any who refuse will be allowed to starve to death in the gutter.
It is YOUR fault because you keep voting these idiots in...Your side could avoid 100 percent of your troubles if you exercised a little less hypocrisy.

Huh?? How is it my fault for voting for Republicans (none of whom ever win, by the way, since I live in a progressive-Dem hell-hole)?
What's my hypocrisy? That I hold Biden and Trump to the same standard of not speaking gibberish that their supporters need to explain the next day?
And who said anything about explaining to progressives? It would be nice if progressives grew up and lived in reality (same with Trumpists), but I am neither.
Sounds like you were listening to Trump’s Saturday Ohio rally in real time. Can you tell us how you felt in that moment when Trump used the word “bloodbath?”
No. I saw a Twitter clip of it after also seeing one of him attacking DeSantis for some reason. What I felt about seeing the clip is that Trump is recklessly shooting off his mouth, again. I felt in that moment that, again, Trump is his own worst enemy. He brings this crap on himself, over and over.
When he did this idiocy in 2016 (and even in 2020), I voted for him because he was going to be better than the alternatives. And he is to be thanked for the good things he did during his term. But that was then. And since then he has gotten infinitely worse and I'm not going to encourage it by being a Sycophant for Trump.
Further, more and more of the positions he is advocating - to the extent that he ever talks issues rather than just rants and raves and insults - are diametrically opposed to conservative values. Which should not be surprising since Trump has recently denied that he is a conservative (or are you folks going to try to spin and explain that away too?). The fact is that less and less is Trump less of a danger than Biden. He is certainly less trustworthy. I can trust Biden to be a disaster, but I can no longer trust Trump that he won't be one.
But enough about me. What are your feelings?

explain how he is going to round up all the "illegal" immigrants (which if we believe Trump is somewhere between 10 and 20 million people), deport them, and not explode the deficit and create massive inflation and food shortages?
Illegal aliens.
Civil... citizen rights are a hard problem. People of Black, of Brown, of Yellow, of Orange, of Female sex, are learning the history of diversity modalities.
The deficit is primarily driven by underfunded Medicare, unfunded Medicaid, under the Obamacares umbrella sustained through a delicate balance with the slave State of China. Food shortages occur where there is insufficient production, irregular distribution, or excess consumption (of a low or counterproductive diet).

The irony is that everyone knows Trump’s election would lead to violent rioting, and that the same people clutching pearls over the ‘bloodbath’ kerfuffle would describe *that* as ‘mostly peaceful protest.’

His description of a bloodbath (which you apparently believe was badly misinterpreted) was ambiguous at best.
No. It wasn't. It was as plain as day he was talking about EVs, the Chinese, Mexico, tarrifs and the auto industry.
So, fuck off. See if you can misinterpret that.
Trump as president was the only president to stand up to China.
Negotiated a viable opening with North Korea, curbed Iran's enthusiasm in Iraq and regionally, collaborated with Mexico et al to pursue emigration reform, added a check and balance to Kiev's bloodletting, brought Arab leaders to agreement in a post-Ottoman era... all for naught, it seems, with the advent of the Sino-Fauci Establishment virus.
Food shortages occur where there is insufficient production,
My point exactly. Who do you think picks, and butchers, the vast majority of crops and meat, for human consumption in this country?
The meatpacking industry used to be a good paying union job. Since the seventies it has broken the unions, moved out of large cities, and relies on refugees and undocumented workers to produce cheap meat.
You're the angriest guy here, Freder. Always have been.
This may be true, but my anger has never included fantasies of locking a bunch of people up, or worse yet, hanging my opponents from lamp posts. Nor have I ever advocated genocide.
And it is coming from you and the other haters from the left.
Find one post where I have advocated " hatred, anger, bloodlust and the desire for insurrection and violent revolution".
You can't because you are just making shit up.
Any able-bodied welfare bum not caring for young children will instead get a one-way Greyhound bus ticket to a barracks in farm country, where he will pick crops for the new, higher prevailing wage.
So you are advocating a return to slavery. Good to know.

The claim that Trump threatened the country with violence if he doesn't win is one of the more outrageous media lies I have seen in my lifetime- no one with an IQ in the triple digits who actually heard the word in the context Trump used it could possibly have believed that was how he meant it, so they are either morons or liars.
These lies are not made to influence those with triple digit IQs. They are targeted at the bottom half of the distribution.
Forgetter Freder... Joe famously said. on camera, "I don't work for you" to a group of Skilled Tradesmen at what auto plant?
I'll wait.
Troll candy today, Soros paying big?
"...relies on refugees and undocumented workers to produce cheap meat.'
It ain't working.
Feder should listen to Michael Moore on the issue of Trump and the auto workers. It is not Trump who wants to create what the manufacturers said would be an “extinction level event” for the industry, it’s Joe Biden who is going to try to force us into EVs.
But we all oblige Biden in his plans by focusing on this fake news controversy about a commonly used word.
"Crude oil closed at $52.00/ barrel 1/20/21.
Crude oil at $82.98/ barrel today, a mere 59% increase."
Gas at the corner station was $2.04 when Brandon took office. Today, it's $3.37, a mere 65% increase.
"These lies are not made to influence those with triple digit IQs. They are targeted at the bottom half of the distribution."
You've got to remember that these are just simple college credentialed progressives. These are people with gender studies degrees. The common clay of the universities. You know... morons.
Trump as president was the only president to stand up to China.
We've since come to learn that it was under Trump's Administration that the U.S. financed the engineering of COVID in the Wuhan lab. That's Wuhan, China, under the control of the Communist Chinese government.
So you are advocating a return to slavery. Good to know.
Certainly not. No one will be made to work. If they want to live by dumpster diving they can do so. If they want to sneak across the border to Canada and suck off the tit of the Canadian government, they are welcome to try. But government handouts for merely existing will come to an end. If they want help from the government, it will come in the form of a bus ticket and a cot in a farming town man-camp, not a welfare check.
The only exceptions would be for mothers or widowed fathers caring for dependent children, and people who are truly disabled. Drug and alcohol dependency most emphatically NOT to be included in the definition of disabled. You can pick onions perfectly well while drunk or stoned.
'So you are advocating a return to slavery. Good to know.'
That's a Democrat institution...you guys have that one locked up.
You'll do whatever it takes to keep blacks on your plantation.
I just got back from walking the dogs and have to apologize- I'm wrong, gas is not $3.37/gal. It's now $3.52.
You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes... Blood coming out of her wherever.
Marat’s bloodbath was well after the Bastille fell.
"It was a true coordinated attack. NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Associated Press, Politico, NPR, PBS, USA Today, Newsweek, The Guardian, The Daily News, The Hill, and numerous other outlets of varying import all got into the act. (Amusingly Yahoo was precious, suggesting the press needed to “wake up” to the comments, as if the media were not already resembling a kicked over ant hill.)
this is the news industry playing Media Myna birds and repeating the talking points of the administration. "

Gavin Newsome is an election denier and should be utterly harassed because he is asking his people to "find the votes"
Time to indict him for election interference, right???? RIGHT?????

BREAKING: California Governor Gavin Newsom is sending his operatives to find rejected mail-in ballots that would help Prop 1 get enough votes to pass. Proposition 1 is Newsom's $6.4 billion plan to launder money through the homeless crisis
“The votes are being counted, and it is CLOSE. Like, just a couple thousand votes close. We need help reaching out to Democrats who have had their ballots rejected for things like forgetting to include a signature and get their ballots counted.”

Hey Freder and Mark.
Aren't you afraid?? Your president Joe was threatening a bloodbath in the primaries against Sanders. So far...his bloodbath against America is thriving.

I'm surprised the OED isn't chock full of references to bloodbaths. Before modern medicine and warfare, blood was far more prevalent in people's lives and imaginations. See: Monty Python.
While everybody is filling in their, blanks their way, President Trump is talking about actual policy.
I wish Peter Doucy would have asked Jake Sullivan, if Biden was going to allow Chinese companies, building electric cars in Mexico to invade the US like illegal migrants. Instead of the lame question about Biden throwing temper tantrums.
This is now Tuesday, and I have seen zero analysis of the Chinese EV manufacturing plants in Mexico. What all those cars coming into the US would do to GM, Ford, and the largest, TESLA.
Well, I mean President Trump is talking about it. Nobody else.
Blood bath accomplished what no Campaign White Paper would dream of.

Des Moines is ~ $.40 cheaper than my local market, so we manage our fuel accordingly.
Using the Des Moines market gas is up over a dollar. It was as low as $2.10. The last I got in DM was $3.19
For the math challenged, that is 50% inflation

"The lowest price here in Illinois Fox Valley, is at Woodmans. A Wisconsin based grocery retailer. $3.65. They just added ten more pumps."
NOW Mark doesn't like China. The program, Mark, had been going on before Trump took office and was not told to him until the inevitable happened.
