"Wisconsin's Democratic governor opposes keeping Republican Donald Trump off the ballot in the battleground state, saying that those who think he should be disqualified 'can vote against him.'"

Channel 3000 reports.

Gov. Tony Evers also told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday that in order for President Joe Biden to win Wisconsin, he must be a frequent visitor to the state and focus his message on his successes and issues that matter to the middle class, not just the argument that the fate of democracy is at stake.

Good for Tony. I appreciate his attitude.

I'm sure there are ulterior motives for this, like knowing Trump can't win in WI, they want the democrat turnout that Trump would drive, helping down ballot races.

Governor Evers to Biden: "What? You come sniffin' around here, lookin' for a good time? I'm not that kind! Dinner and a movie: and then we'll see."

"saying that those who think he should be disqualified 'can vote against him."

Of course they can, and they will. But what they really want is to stop people who support Trump from being able to vote for him.

Meh, as soon as the word goes out, they'll change their tune.

I appreciate his expectations for Biden to be a successful candidate even more than his respect for democracy in keeping Trump on the ballot, the latter being a minimum bar all governors should support.

Thats mighty white of him.

I wonder if the SCOTUS case "U.S. Term Limits v. Thornton" will come into play. The court ruled that you can't keep someone off the ballot just because they have served a certain number of terms and their reasoning was something like "we already have term limits; they're called elections" which is somewhat similar to what Evers is saying.

He's right. This isn't hard.

Trump did not engage in INSURRECTION! The whole thing was instigated by the leftist mob. Sadly, some fell for it.

Still - there were no guns or plans. Just FBI agents and morons. and some good people.

But the corrupt evil left look upon ordinary Americans as people who belong in the gulag.

It's not a hard question.

Just consider the schadenfreud should Trump win Wisconsin, assuming he dodges a jail term. It would be delicious.

I'm glad to hear that Gov. Evers has made the correct decision, but will the new leftist State Supreme Court?

Hey. Cool. The beta cuck who let Kenosha burn said something calculated.

Evers know damn well Trump won WI in 2016 and 2020, and will win it again in 2024 with a clean vote.

To me, it sounds like he pretty confident in WI's absentee voter fraud effort in Madison and Milwaukee.

Tony Evers is NOT a voice of sanity. This statement is a calculated deflection. The douchebag lib from the Minocqua Brewing Co. filed his PAC funded lawsuit today to ban Trump from WI ballots. The four liberal witches on the WI Supreme Court will agree. It will go to US Supreme Court.

Come on Ann. You have to be able to see Evers' play here. It's a Pontious Pilate hand wash.

But I do appreciate you looking on the bright side of life. Like Monty Python.

It's the public equivalent of an interoffice memo, with a copy to file.
