Your fox is particularly cute. I spot one on occasion around our place and it has a mangy unappealing appearance. Yours looks straight out of an old fashioned Disney film.
A fox family has denned under my neighbor’s porch for several years. We saw them in our yard often this summer. One was lush and beautiful and one was skinny and mangey looking. We nicknamed them Disney and Bender in our conversations about sightings…
That is a cute fox, its probably is well fed. maybe its found a way to get into someon'e garbage. Or someone's tossing some food out
I’m sure they wouldn’t reject a scavenging opportunity but they are really proficient hunters. We witnessed the female in our yard dispatch multiple squirrels and mice in a morning so she could scatter them around the yard for her four kits hunting lessons…
Michael Moore *almost* endorses Donald Trump, and explains why he is so hated by the billionaire class, the auto executives, the media, the politicians, etc. It's worth a listen. He wears a red baseball cap, even, but it has the 49ers logo on it. Nobody who watches that speech could come away feeling guilty for voting for "Donald J Trump," as Moore called him. When I want to emphasize how Trump has gone to bat for working people, I call him Donald John Trump, so I get what Moore is saying by calling him that.
Beautiful picture and video! We have a family of gray foxes that have lived in our cul-de-sac for several years. We always look forward to the new kits early each spring. We are especially grateful that they help keep the squirrel population down.
Your red fox shows up against snow quite wonderfully. Our gray foxes here north of Austin aren't as flashy, but just as amazing. They are suburban wildlife, with an environment that includes several neighborhood drainage ditches, open undeveloped meadows, parkland made of creek banks and every back yard for miles around that doesn't host a barking dog.
And gray foxes climb trees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81SeCesBKxw

This short video is worth watching. There are still good Democrats in our country.

Meade was just commenting on the quality of the fur on this fox compared to what must have been a different fox on another occasion.
I'll say that this morning was pleasant. It was only 0! I only put one sweater on the dog this morning, rather than yesterday's two!
if you were Nice.. you'd throw him a nice vole (or maybe a shrew)

You shouldn’t feed wild animals! They need to catch their own food, not develop a dependency on humans.
Makes me think of this terrifying painting.

If you guys are seeing him this often there's a den nearby. It will be hidden, but in a place that gets a lot of direct sunlight.

Maybe "Cassandra lite" should watch it.

Indeed, it would make part of a fine coat.
Maybe DeSantis could borrow it?
Good thing it's not a feral cat!

Does the fox have a name? Must be named. I vote for Virgil.

Give a fox some leftovers and it will eat for a day. Teach a fox to hunt, and it will knock over garbage cans for a lifetime.

Sorry Ann. Keeping the bird feeder. Watching the birds while I drink coffee in the morning is a blast.
The mangy-looking foxes probably have mange. It has been a problem in our Hoyt Park area foxes.
