"FBI Director Christopher Wray raised concerns Thursday about "fairness and transparency" in the decision to select Greenbelt, Maryland, as the new location for the bureau's headquarters.
In a message to FBI employees, Wray questioned the selection process by the General Services Administration and the decision of an unnamed GSA senior executive to override the unanimous decision of a three-member panel to select Springfield, Virginia, as the new site.
Wray noted the senior executive had previously worked for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, which owns the land at the selected site in Maryland.
"We identified concerns about a potential conflict of interest involving the site selection authority and whether changes that individual made in the final stage of the process adhered to the site selection criteria," Wray said in the statement. "Despite our engagement with GSA over the last two months on these issues, our concerns about the process remain unresolved."

According to Bob Woodward, on 9/11, after he saw the planes hit the Twin Towers on television, the first words of George Tenet, then head of the CIA, were, “I wonder if it has anything to do with this guy taking pilot training?” George Tenet was allowed to retire, and he subsequently received the American Medal of Freedom, too.

The official could not discuss details of the investigation publicly, the report added. One of the agents opened fire, but no one was struck by the gunfire, the Secret Service said in a statement. Maryanne Trump Barry, older sister of Donald Trump, has died at 86.
Barry was a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit until she retired in 2019 amid an investigation into judicial misconduct related to accepting payments from All County Building Supply & Maintenance, for fraudulent tax and illegal financial transactions made by her father and siblings. The investigation was conveniently closed to permit her to retire without a conclusion when her brother Donald was President in 2019.
Maryanne bashed The Donald. "All he wants to do is appeal to his base," Barry said in a conversation secretly recorded by her niece as reported by The Washington Post in August 2020. "He has no principles. None. None. And his base, I mean my God, if you were a religious person, you want to help people. Not do this."
So far, Donald Trump has made no public comment about his sister's death.

"What else ya got, Crack? Any other obfuscations?"
He didn't obfuscate anything - that's one of the things I liked about his piece: he didn't go the way I would go, and he didn't go to where you would go - he went his own way, found his own shit, and came up with a few things no one's heard.
As I've said before, I'm willing to challenge my views. If you're just dissing or ignoring debates, simply because they may not back-up yours, then you're not really thinking.

Because eternal war brings so much peace.
Yes, by all means let’s have a British fop (Oliver) rant about America while pro-Hamas rioters are beating Jews down in the streets of Great Britain.

There’s an economic mystery confounding the White House: Most Americans are financially better off than they were before the coronavirus pandemic, but they feel worse about their economic prospects.

Except we aren’t “better off.”
It’s costs $100 to buy two bags of groceries.
It costs $80 for two people to have hamburgers / fries and a couple of beers at the pub.
It costs $50 - $100 to fill up your car.
No working class person’s wages have kept up with the inflation onslaught.
The stock market is stuck in a perpetual gain / loss cycle. The bond market is a mess. As result, retirees on pensions and fixed incomes are getting slaughtered.
New appliances - from toasters to furnaces - are barely affordable and don’t work as well as they used to because they’re hamstrung by bazillions of ridiculous regulations.
The housing market is a hot mess due to skyrocketing interest rates.
People are working two jobs or coming out of retirement to work and you all tout this as “job growth.”
The national debt terrifies everyone.
You’re describing a theoretical universe described by Ivy League professor who are 6 degrees of separation from the real world.
We live in the real world and it ain’t pretty.

"Secret Service agents protecting US president Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Biden opened fire after three people tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle, The Associated Press reported."
What do you suppose might happen to you if you shot at someone trying to break into your parked and unoccupied vehicle?
You're disgusting gad. Show some grace for once in your life instead of droning on and on about Donald Trump. Get help.
The Hopeless gadfly: "So far, Donald Trump has made no public comment about his sister's death."
Weren't you the psycho demanding authorities dig up the grave of Ivana Trump at Bedminster, NJ because, according to you, DJT supposedly buried Top Secret documents in the grave that DJT intended to sell to foreign powers?
Yes. Yes you were.
Interesting...in its own special lunatic way.
Workers at Madison’s two unionized Starbucks stores are on strike Saturday, claiming the company engaged in unfair labor practices by removing Pride month-related displays and decorations from the stores in June.
Albinophobia. Pride and prejudice.

Imprisoned or aborted. h/t Capitol punishment.
