Writes Eeyore Eeyore in the comments section of "The Elonization of Mark Zuckerberg: How the Meta CEO is playing it cool/Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has been trying to appear more relevant among the tech elite" (WaPo).

I looked up "Elonization" — just to see if WaPo coined it — and I found "Elonization Of The World — Is Elon Musk A Cultural Moment? The billionaire is creating the society of tomorrow" by Michel Kana.

But — wonderfully creepily ‚ there was also this:

 

A mucopolysaccaride (urine slime) layer covers the bladder epithelium and prevents elonization! 

 Well, now you know how to prevent Elonization: urine slime.

Maybe it's a misprint. It's not in the OED:

"Elongation" is a word that could be used to mean "elonization," and I can see it has.

But I like that first word, "adonization." What is "adonization"? The OED says that to "adonize" is "To adorn or beautify oneself; to primp. Used chiefly of men."

Like "Elonize," it's a word made out of a man's name. In this case: Adonis.

Did I get distracted from the topic I began with? One answer is I'd prefer to be distracted, because I pretty much agree with Eeyore Eeyore about the value of lavishing attention on Zuckerberg. But a better answer may be that the WaPo article is an effort to adonize Zuckerberg.
