Still my favorite Wes Anderson parody is the woman on the train that you posted last week. Who would've guessed that 2 minutes of Owen Wilson saying "Wow!" could be interesting? And yet it is.

It was as if millions of homosexual manchild fanboys squeeeed in delight, only to be silenced when they realized Kathleen Kennedy was not the producer.

A great disturbance in the farce.

I'm not sure what that was, but I'm sure I don't need it.

Static Ping म्हणाले...

Better than the sequel trilogy.

I love how Anderson frames every scene. With real frames. Like This.

I never cared for Owen Wilson's acting much, but after seeing this montage, I'm like wow.

NorthOfTheOneOhOne म्हणाले...

Actually, it reminds me more of a cleaner version of Luc Besson's The Fifth Element.

Static Ping म्हणाले...

Come to think of it, that "we will need montage" is not far off from the plot of Rise of Skywalker. That movie was essentially a chain of fetch quests, and a poorly constructed one at that.

Wow...

Nobody acknowledged my subtle May the 4th Star Wars reference yesterday. Come next Festivus I'm gonna have a lotta problems with you people...

Joe Smith म्हणाले...

The most pretentious and overrated director in history.

Owen Wilson says "Wow" because many say, "Wow."

There's some guy, somewhere, once upon a time, shall not be named, said "two movies".

Unfortunately, Adam Schitt did.

I love the parody trailer.

Wes Anderson is one director I do not "get." The movies I've seen of his seem like pretentious drivel. The one exception is Fantastic Mr. Fox, which was delightful.

Known Unknown म्हणाले...

I enjoy most Wes Anderson movies (French Dispatch was a mess) but this is, unlike his work, soulless and tedious.

More evidence AI is not human enough to understand the human experience.

I agree on the Fifth Element comment.

Mike of Snoqualmie म्हणाले...

It's a Disney production. Hard pass.

Lindsey म्हणाले...

My favorite Wes Anderson parody is the XMen one on YouTube

Today is Revenge of the Fifth!

One thing that Wes Anderson and Star Wars (George Lucas) have in common is that they break the rules of film making. The former breaks the rule of thirds (often!), and the latter with scene fades.

Joe Bar म्हणाले...

Wow. I LOL’d.

I loved Rushmore when I first saw it. Saw it 4 times in the first 2 weeks of release.
Doesn't touch me the way it did, but I get it.
