This morning, I saw email from a reader telling me that Biden had called out "Don't jump!" again — this time, in Ireland.
Searching for this new event, I ran across this:
But I bet you want to tell me that Biden sure looked demented when he failed to recognize the U.K. Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, and pushed him aside and went straight toward a tall white man, who looked more like a Prime Minister to him. Well, India Today says that didn't happen.
Judge for yourself:
🤣

The clip starts too late to see the "outta my way, little brown man" shove, but it's there.
And why should the Times of India be any more trustworthy than CNN. Denial of the obvious and the distortion of reality is the essence of 21st-century journalism.
Two things:
- Yes, what he did was not a push or a shove. Actually, he didn't really move him either. He 'tapped' him out of the way.
- No, it still wasn't protocol. He wouldn't have done it to Xi. Macron would've been offended. The Japanese would've been horrified.
It wasn't on purpose. He's just doddering.
Is that Joe Up there ... on that ledge?
JUMP! Jump Joe Jump! You can do it. hahahaha -
"You look crazy enough to jump." 🏆
I hate the "if a Republican said that" game. But... if a Republican said that we would be harangued for weeks about the seriousness of mental health and how anxiety and depression is a serious problem plaguing our country and we should all be very ashamed for joking about things.
"It's something an old man does repeatedly without regard to whether it's appropriate" hardly disproves dementia.
People accustomed to crowds move unknown people away with a seeming handshake and a shove which is what Biden did to Sunak.
"Well, at least it's not evidence of dementia, which is what his antagonists love to point at."
It's evidence that he's an embarrassing, decrepit old fool who should be in a nursing home, and not representing our country. The dementia is a side-issue.
Has any prominent Dem ever called Joe out for his "ridiculous repetitiveness"? Have the MSM ever covered the many instances of his dementia, frailty, and lameness? It's not Joe as a person that's the issue, it's the system that enables such a person to "lead" this country, and the prog forces that currently exploit it.
We'll leave the corruption for another day.
Well, at least it's not evidence of dementia, which is what his antagonists love to point at.
People with dementia often repeat themselves, forgetting how recently they've said the same thing to the same person. It's one thing to repeat the same joke to different audiences, but when you're President your audience is the whole world, and to make the same "joke" within days or weeks suggests diminished mental capacity.
Biden suffers the delusion he's Art Linkletter.
The assertion that Biden's opponents always want to attribute his behavior to dementia is, I think, a straw man. Not that there aren't people, such as Donald Trump, who claims he is senile, I know that.
I think the way Biden acts reflects his intellectual apathy and poorly concealed narcissism, nurtured and encouraged during decades of being catered to and pandered at and basically just getting away with it.
It's the cringe factor. Biden slithers out of the DC swamp that spawned him and grins that phony, sh*t-eating grin and whispers into the microphone or shouts some weird comment at someone while scouting around for the nearest young woman whose hair he can sniff and we're all supposed to smile and play along. Oh that's just Joe being (creepy) Joe.
(grand)dad joke.
The sad thing is that the Irish mostly think Biden is just a nice old man. I can't imagine where he was when he shouted "jump". Ireland has essentially no tall buildings.
“Don’t jump” is basically muscle memory for that severely demented old man.
Well, at least it's not evidence of dementia, which is what his antagonists love to point at.
..and as this type of verbal tap dancing suggests, it isn't evidence he doesn't have dementia, either. Even the most conclusive cases can show lucidity on occasion...
...but all beside the point. The important question: is any of this Presidential? It shouldn't be a question we ask only re: President Trump...
...without double standards, no standards at all...
ridiculous repetitiveness is pretty much, a definition of dementia
Well, at least it's not evidence of dementia, which is what his antagonists love to point at.
It's a crutch, something to hold on to as his memory grows foggier and his situational awareness and competence decrease. Whether or not Biden's repetitions are "evidence" of dementia, they do suggest an underlying reality that the Bidenites are quick to deny.
Young Kennedy there on the tarmac as a convenient prop reminds me of his uncle's challenge to Biden.
Train just went by... See the tracks?
Captain Billy's Whiz Bang
That's funny, I thought that most of the commenters were pointing out how remarkably inappropriate this particular kind of 'humor' is from a leader, and any claims to senility would be taken in that light as derivative. In this case, a leader on a diplomatic visit to a foreign country.
Senile / affected by dementia or not, Joe Biden is still what Joe Biden has always been: Not too bright but a thoroughly nasty piece of work.
People can pretend all they want that Biden is not delusional, but they are blind, and deaf if that is what they think. Normal people see that he isn't well.
What's worse than the "Don't Jump" is the pasted-on grin that appears after he says it. The "Aren't I clever!?" smile of a politician trying to connect.
Trying and failing.
'Not evidence of dementia...'
How could you possibly know that?
I think people should start yelling "don't jump" at Biden.
Especially when he's firmly on the ground.
That's much funnier than his tired version.
Finally! I can say that Biden has been falsely accused of incompetence.
That's a funny interpetation. But I sincerely doubt that Biden thinks the Irish PM dresses up in a uniform and carries a sword. Anyway, who is he?
Biden is painfully obviously suffering from dementia, I can't imagine any honest person not acknowledging that. I witnessed all of this with my own beloved father.
But yeah the don't jump thing is a shtick. I don't know how much of a generational thing it is but I'm in my mid 60's and I seem to recall hearing it a bit way back when.
I don't think this is an "old man" thing. It is a man of limited intellect thing. Biden has gotten through life via charisma and corruption without any underlying abilities or intelligence. He gets a laugh line from "don't jump" so he keeps using it since it worked, or at least he thinks it worked. At this point it does not matter, since a good chunk of his support will support him literally no matter what he does - evident recently as his administration is starting to resemble a supervillain organization from a comic book - and the media is not going to harp on it. I mean, if a man who gets lost at his own press conferences, makes outrageous and contradictory lies on a regular basis, campaigns for president from literally his basement, and, at times, appears unable to communicate, is not exposed as one of the most obvious of news stores, well, ever, then they are not going to care about him reusing a bad joke.
This is similar to how television upended vaudeville. In vaudeville, the performers could work on an act for months, figuring out what worked and what didn't work, refining it to its final form. They could do this since they were traveling about the country, never dealing the same audience, so there were not going to be complaints about how they had seen this before. Once television became a thing and vaudeville performers got recruited, some of them were gone very quickly as they only had their current inventory of bits and then had nothing new to present and no time to refine more. Biden probably uses this joke all the time on his retail campaigning, and we are only noticing now since most of the time we didn't care and weren't paying attention.
He's still senile, though.
It happened.
Calling out, "Don't jump!", all the time is not evidence of dementia? Who knew?
"Well, at least it's not evidence of dementia..."
Biden could eat his own poop on live tv and people would still say that. Whatever helps you get through the day.
Similar to Tourette's Syndrome, then.
The clip starts too late to see the "outta my way, little brown man" shove, but it's there.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a dogmatic policy that denies individual dignity, individual conscience, intrinsic value, and normalizes color blocs (e.g. "people of color"), color quotas, and affirmative discrimination.

Something similar happened transvisiblity activists assaulted a women who had the audacity to discern the sexes and sex-correlated gender from the transgender spectrum.
Never gets old. He’s such a funny man.

The gaffe, if there was one, may have been committed by Rishi Sunak. The uniformed official has been identified elsewhere as Lord-Lieutenant David McCorkell, the King's personal representative for County Antrim, in which Belfast International Airport where Joe Biden landed and was greeted is located. We shall have to consult a U.K. protocol expert, but I would think that the Lord-Lieutenant in his county ranks the Prime Minister.
Looks to me like Sunak just kind of backed off as Biden approached. Anyone who’s seen The Walking Dead would do the same.
Hey! Isn't that Droolin' Joe Kennedy making an appearance?
I worked for some 15 years with an engineer named Lonny. He once remarked I'd repeated a joke.
After that I'd intentionally repeat that same joke in Lonny's presence every few month. Everyone else knew what I was doing.
Lonny's reaction? JAORE is losing it.
Hes only programmed for a couple of jokes.
The chip shortage affected us in so many ways.
Repetition is a major symptom of dementia. I witnessed this firsthand through conversations with my father as the disease progressed. Repetition brings comfort to those struggling to hide their affliction.
Expect to see much more of this from Joe going forward. If you don’t believe me, just watch any video of Biden from as little as ten years ago. He is a shell of his former self.
Even though I don’t care for Joe’s politics, I take no glee in noticing the obvious. It’s a very sad situation for both him and our country.
"Well, at least it's not evidence of dementia, which is what his antagonists love to point at. It's more just an old man's idea of how to be funny — ridiculous repetitiveness. He'll say it every damned time. Here, I go again!"
Assumes facts not in evidence. Not very lawyerly.
Early on, as Parkinson's slowly claimed my Dad, he would see people in trees who weren't there.
Wait... Wait... they arrested the leaker...
SQUIRREL!

My mom used to have an expression. She’d say, “Joey, courage is the greatest virtue of all, for without courage, you can’t love with abandon.” Without courage, you cannot love with abandon.
Joey's used that line before, but I wonder if his mother actually said it or if it's something a speechwriter came up with and Joe convinced himself that it was a real memory. Similar with "Joey, love is love."

One thing I liked about Obama was the calm, measured way he spoke. He chose words carefully. I didn't always agree with him, but I appreciated the care with which he spoke. He knew his words would have consequences, for good or for ill.
Not so with Biden. He has no filter, and he speaks with the freedom of a man who can say anything (and has said everything) with absolutely no consequences. He could say, "I saw Martians yesterday," and it wouldn't matter.
“Joe Biden is a criminal. He was conducting malfeasance in office to enrich his family. Jake Sullivan is a conspirator in that, and there’s more… Obama officials involved in it, I believe.”

How can you say that?? That looks, and sounds like dementia to me.

Hear, hear.
He is a stupid man who rose under circumstances that won't be repeated for Irish-Americans (speaking as one myself) and is a living embodiment of Peter Principle-cum-Participation Trophy America.
What is one thing, just one, that he's done to indicate that he possesses executive temperament or even mature judgment? In his entire career?
Even dedicated Trump antagonists must surely (she says, laughing) admit that Trump has accomplished more, and more substantive things too - while simultaneously being a reality TV personality, "playboy," dilettante, and - why not say it? - in the eyes of the smart set, buffoon.
Looks to me like Sunak just kind of backed off as Biden approached. Anyone who’s seen The Walking Dead would do the same.
Hahaha, and also, no, it didn't look like that too me - it looked like the practiced "handshake brushoff" of a career politician confronted with someone he doesn't want to be bothered with.
Joe Biden is a great representative for the US in its current state of decline.
He should try some new jokes though. Like "pull my finger!"
Even when he was younger and presumably possessed of all his faculties, he was notorious for his outrageous mendacity. He has committed multiple plagiarisms. He was often mentioned as the dumbest person in the Senate, with no record of success there, or as Vice President. The President who picked him as his running mate said we shouldn't underestimate "...Joe's ability to f**k things up". He's a dirty old man, perving on little girls at every opportunity. There is ample evidence that he is profoundly corrupt.
And now he is obviously senile. Even the partisan Democrats who deny it can't possibly believe, in their heart of hearts, that he isn't.
