Said Tamitha Skov, a space weather forecaster, quoted in "Piece of sun breaks off, stuns scientists: ‘Very curious'" (NY Post).

I’m not falling for this again. It’s that French guy with the spicy sausage, isn’t it?
We should send a manned mission. After all. It's where are climate comes from.
How interesting! I never thought about the sun having a north pole before.
I wonder if there's any kind of workshop there like we have here.
I wish I could see what they are talking about. They need some annotations.
All I can say is better hurry Elon.
We're toast now.
Uuuurrrp.
From the article:
“Material from a northern prominence just broke away from the main filament & is now circulating in a massive polar vortex around the north pole of our Star. Implications for understanding the Sun’s atmospheric dynamics above 55° here cannot be overstated!”

"Experts have observed solar projections fairly often, such as last year’s solar flares that threatened to impact Earth. Such projections could disrupt GPS systems, power grids, and even radio signals, researchers warned at the time — although there’s no way to precisely predict how this solar vortex would affect our planet."
Something big happened. It's going to huge...but we don't know what it will do.
A solar hairball. The ensuing gag reflex could be detrimental to the system.

Summer days, summer nights are gone
I know a place where there’s still somethin’ going on"
George Harrison was prescient...
I blame Solar Warming -- with all those fires there must be lots of CO2 there.
Turns out that it was a piece of the sun over Alaska that was shot down by the F-22s yesterday. I’m sure it’s nothing to be concerned about.
Maybe some massive gravity wave passed through the solar system, triggering earthquakes in Buffalo, NY and the Middle East, or maybe it was aliens using a warp drive, and we just shot down their landing shuttle in Alaska. I wouldn't but anything past the writers of 2023.
"All" the scientists: CO2 is destroying the earth.
The sun: I fart in your general direction.
“Just don’t look up”. Watch #Netflix instead.
I blame rethuglicans and their Gaia-murdering SUVs.
I always assumed that our terrestrial "polar vortexes" were just called that because they were very cold.
And no, I'm not going to write "vortices."
You can be confident that what will happen is, nothing. It will give some research opportunities though.
AKA a coronal mass ejection. These things happen all the time. What exactly are they trying to distract us from?

Akshually, it is an out of control nuclear explosion that will keep emitting radiation for the next 5 billion years.

But Al Gore told me the science was settled and we had 10 years to act before it would be too late!?!? You mean we are learning new things about the sun even today, year and years later?
I'm so confused.
Enigma.
The climate change holocaust, like fusion power, is just 20 years down the road. You'd think that after twelve years we'd be seeing greater effects.
