I've got exactly 2 TikToks to show you tonight.

1. "The Lord... maketh me to lie down in green pastures," it says in Psalm 23, but is it really a good idea to lie down in a pasture? I see a problem (or 2). But this lady lies down. She's got her idea. She wants to see what animal comes to her first.

2. Thoreau wrote: "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." And here is that man, God bless him.

Thoreau came up with yeh different drummer metaphor? I never knew. Finally something to admire about that charlatan.

Charming, both.

I'm recovering from my pcilocybin adventure. I'm still in Jamaica but at a conventional resort since yesterday. I fly back to Nashville tomorrow. Longer report later but I thought I was dying at one point, which is a common experience. I'm very fatigued right now but serene somehow.

Good Lord dude, cover up those man-boobs. But that said, he sure has some impressive dance moves.

I'm pretty sure the guy Thoreau was talking about was not an attention whore.

I think I'm going to keep that second one tabbed up. Just because.

She wants to see what animal (loseley defined) comes to her first.

Dang it. I had $5 on fire ants.

Big Mike म्हणाले...

If she’d been dead the pig would have eaten her.

And I hope she carefully checked that grass before laying down in a pasture.

Quaestor म्हणाले...

A mime is a terrible thing to waste.

But waste 'em all, dammit! Two in the heart and one in the brain!

"... but is it really a good idea to lie down in a pasture? I see a problem (or 2)."

If you're a sheep, and you have a shepherd protecting you, then yes. Psalm 23 is metaphorical.

There's a good book on the topic, if you're interested: "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23," by W. Phillip Keller. I'm not sure a non-Christian would enjoy it, as it's focused on Christ as the "Good Shepherd." But I found it very insightful, with details about shepherds and sheep (and wolves, etc.) that I was completely unaware of.

As for #2, "God bless him" was not my reaction. More like, "Hide your kids, hide your wife."

Lyle Smith म्हणाले...

She hasn’t laid down in the pasture, but a yard. Sweet pigs.

Nice manageable number today. I would have gone with "skunk in the house" or "cuddling a lion cub in the kitchen," but to each his/her/their/xir own.
