She was truly a remarkable artist. Her drawings had an appealing ebullience because of the bright colors and linear forms but there was an intriguing complexity in the message of each picture.
The work tells each story clearly in gestalt using a 1970's esthetic that looks completely natural and original.

Yikes. I lost a friend to this. Dead four months after diagnosis. Cancer in a fucking useless organ! The Big C is currently popping up in my life left and right amongst friends, from lung cancer to rare blood cancer.
