A prominent Republican in the state had texted him a GIF of Thelma and Louise driving off the cliff....
There's also this quote from a Republican Maricopa County supervisor named Bill Gates:
“I think the only way back is by humiliation at the ballot box, and the problem is the Democrats aren’t strong enough to do that... I think [the Trumpians who won the primaries] are electable, which is frightening. The election last night was a catastrophe for the Arizona Republican Party and, I would argue, our democracy.”

Cry harder. Maybe you can try laughing from the grave like RBG.
Think of The Horror!!
I think [the Trumpians who won the primaries] are electable, which is frightening. The election last night was a catastrophe for the Arizona Republican Party
Could it GET any Worse, than That?
Republican nominees are "electable"! What republican would want republicans to get elected?
This IS a catastrophe!!!
The McCain people are sad that they don't call the shots anymore. They were the geniuses that gave the state Martha McSally three times.
Blake Masters won every county but a smaller one overwhelmingly. Every negative article I read on Kari Lake barely mentions that she was one half of the most watched news team for decades.
If the McCain people cared about the state instead of themselves, they'd be thrilled with a candidate with that much built in good will and name recognition. Instead, they're throwing a fit. Lake always treated McCain well btw, this is sore grapes about Trump.
"Doomsday" for whom? "The election last night was a catastrophe for the Arizona Republican Party and, I would argue, our democracy.”
Establishment Republicans conflating their own obsolescence going forward with the party's.
Maybe because the people who voted know that the GOPe hates them as much as the Democrats do. If you keep on voting for people who keep on doing the same things and everything is getting worse, why would you keep voting for them?? Trump was different, and things were getting a lot better for EVERYBODY, but the elites couldn't have an outsider showing America that they don't do SHIT for us, so he had to go. Hopefully, there are enough people who are awake and don't want the same old same old...with the political class getting richer off of our backs.
It's a catastrophe for our democracy that the party base actually picked candidates who advocated policies the base wanted, rather than rubber stamping the chamber of commerce choice? Sure thing. The AZ GOP gave us decades of John McCain, and then managed to lose two senate seats by running Martha McSally. Maricopa County is currently an embarrassment for the way it has handled the 2020 election, and now the clusterfark that is this one. I don't want to hear another damn word out of the mouths of any "Republican political strategist" ever again. They've made it clear time and again that they despise the base and will seek to undermine it whenever possible.
It seems like pretty serious mental gymnastics to construe Republicans winning races as doomsday for the GOP.
‘The election last night was a catastrophe for the Arizona Republican Party and, I would argue, our democracy.’
Cope harder, sissies. The only Republicans driving off the cliff are the cucks of the GOPe.
Never-Trumpers and Democrats excel at crying.
Another career corruptocrat apple cart upset by the voters. Boo. Hoo.
The election last night was a catastrophe for the Arizona Republican Party and, I would argue, our democracy.”
Some of us remember the mindless cannibalism speech you stole this from...
Maricopa County is a dysfunctional. corrupt, incompetent disaster. Just like Madison, WI and Milwaukee. It still suffers from the leftover control of John McCain and his love of the establishment.
They are still counting absentee votes dropped off on election day (why the fuck is that needed??). No transparency to the process. No results coming out of the Maricopa Board of Elections office in a timely manner. Same shit. Same County. Same establishment. 2020 all over again. The GOP establishment is as much in on the chaos and corruption as the Dems. They don't want ANYONE looking behind the curtain.
Kari Lake is 100% correct, and candidates like her are a real threat to expose establishment corruption. Until this mess and open door to election fraud have been cleaned up, you don't have republic nor a democracy. It's all just make believe.
In reality this is the fault of LAZY Americans who can't even be asked to vote at a polling station on election day and provide and ID. "We" are getting what we deserve.
I think the only way back is by humiliation at the ballot box, and the problem is the Democrats aren’t strong enough to do that... I think [the Trumpians who won the primaries] are electable, which is frightening.
Failing to support a ticket where the top Republican strategist lack the self awareness to recognize the contradiction in this statement...sounds like AZ voters know what they're doing...
When you pull your head out of your ass to look at the sunshine it's easy to see that the real Big Lie...is that massive amounts of absentee votes is a corruptible mess.
They should only be allowed for Military, ex-Pats, and the truly confined. And you should have to show and ID.
November elections are going to be a mess.
Some of the worst people I've met in politics are Party leaders. I don't know this one, but based on his job title, I have little reason to believe a word he says.
Also, it's pretty appalling to run a car crash GIF the morning a prominent Republican and her two very young aides died in a car crash.
The swamp speaks.
France determine election results on election day.
Maricopa County has a population of 4.5 million. About 3.6 Million registered voters, and turnout is around 30 to 35%...and they can't pull off a clean, transparent believable count in a timely manner. They purposely sow seeds of doubt.
Corruption, incompetence, and arrogance. Republican Maricopa County supervisor Bill Gates is a douche bag. Just like the other Bill Gates.
The greatest obstacle to a generational realignment in politics wherein the Republican Party becomes the majority party of the working people and middle class is the current Republican establishment. These people would have the Republican Party remain as controlled opposition to the Democrats so long as the Establishment gets their grift. Disgusting people who are being revealed as harboring anti-American values. They hate Trump for breaking up their deal.
Catastrophe for Democracy = people voting for the wrong people.
Kari Lake. Wow! She is the perfect Trump candidate. Even though she said nice things about Obama and Hillary, and she palled around with drag queens, she is all aboard the Trump Express. She is absolutely sure that AZ was stolen from Trump, and she says that is the most important issue in the 2022 AZ governor's race, even though it wouldn't have made a difference in the 2020 presidential outcome.
Can she ride that grievance into the governor's mansion? We shall find out. Trump today. Trump tomorrow. Trump forever.
Their tears are delicious.
On the other hand, the environment is so good for the GOP nationally this year that some or all of them may win.
If Mr. Marson and Mr. Gates are unhappy with the direction their party is moving in their state, they are welcome to leave at any time — the state or the party of both, it doesn’t matter. But do they — or the writers at Politico — understand why “the environment is so good for the GOP” this year? Is that because of something the GOP, and Marson and Gates, did? Or is that because Arizona is suffering terribly from the Democrats’ open borders policy and the Democrats’ blunders on the economy?
God save us from the "political strategists," aka grifters.
Cobalt-Thorium G
Americans were thriving under Trump (even as the left spit on him) -
Somehow when Americans are thriving it is "BAD FOR DEMOCRACY!"
Lake talks well and says little. It's Blake Masters, who also pisses off the GOPe, who's interesting.
France determines election results on election day.

Kari is in the lead so they had to stop the counting. That's my guess.
I expect Kari Lake will lose the general election, but I've long predicted that. Now that both parties are aligned against her, I don't see that she stands a chance.
Here in Pima County, I gladly voted for Lake and Masters. I will do so again in November.
However, the Dems have tons more money. Mark "The Weasel" Kelly has been running ads since January, pretending to be bipartisan. Katie Hobbs (running against Lake) is the Sec of State and controls the voting.
“ Maricopa County is a dysfunctional. corrupt, incompetent disaster. Just like Madison, WI and Milwaukee. It still suffers from the leftover control of John McCain and his love of the establishment”
I am actually surprised at how well that county operates. Things still get done, and done on a reasonably timely basis. It seems much more efficient than, say Denver, or Clarke County NV, or, for that matter, Chicago, NYC, LA, etc. Maybe with the corruption we have seen with voting, we can expect Chicago style corruption to follow. But it doesn’t appear to me to be yet.
It was this same Arizona GOP that got Martha McSally running in back to back US Senate elections in which she lost badly both times.
These people would have the Republican Party remain as controlled opposition to the Democrats so long as the Establishment gets their grift. Disgusting people who are being revealed as harboring anti-American values. They hate Trump for breaking up their deal.
Yep just like Mitch getting rolled on reconciliation. Oops!
Be careful what you wish for, Big Mike. I agree with your point, but in Georgia, the "anti-establishment" GOP Party that got itself voted in didn't replace the scummy people in legislative leadership (there were some good ones, still ignored), didn't believe in the real reform platform on immigration, crime, and sentencing (their leader and the House leader are sleazy defense attorneys, ffs); several were recently Democrats with a few very, very naive or cynical religious so-called so-cons, but they're all on the leftitarian train. I don't see real political or ethical or platform reform: I see even less base accountability, Ron Paul types, pot obsessives, powers hungry nutters, and the same people willing to do anything to the religious base to kiss Hollywood's ass to keep the same dirty film tax credits flowing.
The suburban RINOs seem pleased. They get to be accepted again! The rest of us watch the Party become even more alien to our politics. I just barely almost miss the last band of criminals. Revolutions are a hot mess.
It all depends. If Trumpist candidates act like know-nothing fools or piss off too many GOPers and nice suburban women, they will lose otherwise winnable races.
I don't know the Arizona situation well enough, but we all remember the way Trump helped elect Ossoff and Warnock in Georgia, giving Dems control of the Senate. A repeat in other states in 2022, when regaining control was in the cards, would indeed be terrible.
But it all depends. If Trumpist candidates squeak through, fine. But I am not confident. Oz, Herschel Walker--the clown picked clowns. Sure, I'd rather have our clowns than theirs, but still.
I don't have an opinion about Lake. What I've heard about Blake Masters, though, makes me think that in his earlier years he was the kind of annoying young libertarian that we definitely don't need in politics. Maybe he's changed over the years, maybe not. Maybe Lake will be an embarrassment, maybe not.
But don't you kind of cringe or shudder a bit at hearing the name "Blake Masters"? Give your kids normal human names, especially if you have a last name like "Masters."
What Democrats and establishment GOP leaders don't understand, is that the GOP base does not bow down to the wishes and manipulation of it's establishment leaders. Democrats swallowed the Super Tuesday Biden nomination (when everyone else dropped out) and just said...Uhkay...
They also swallowed the "superdelegate" bs that nominated Hillary.
Those of us on the America First side of the GOP are not sheep. In large numbers we didn't take the fake vaccine (even though Trump loved it). The RINOs hat sold us out are being sent packing and their attitude is "how dare you???"
Well....fuck'em. Soon Liz Cheney will be sent packing too.
The left think tainting everything with Trump will work.
The Normals- the Non-Maddow NON-Joy Behar should taint everything with Hillary.

If you look only at what they end up accomplishing- not what they say- it's always been hard to differentiate the Republicans from the Democrats. Always.
But these days it's hard to differentiate between the establishment GOP and Democrats in both what they say and what they actually do. There is no difference. And this is precisely why you hear only far edged, extreme reactions to the curtain being pulled back, their base seeing them for what they are and choosing the other person instead.
Yes. Either vote for us or it's the end of Democracy. Where have we heard that before? There's other beauties as well.
End all fossil fuels today or the earth ends in 12 years. Stated every year for 50 years now.

There's no end to the hyperbole. And not surprisingly, it sounds the same coming out of Gerald Nadler as it does this clown in Arizona.
I didn't think it possible, but it seems like AZ is even more corrupt/incompetent than Pennsylvania.
What a mess.

spare me the left's but it was less severe, huh? No - they had it bad.
This mug of tears taste great with the popcorn. It helps while watching this otherwise disaster of an economy and foreign policy. Sad when you consider even popcorn might start costing more than a steak dinner when Trump was President yet he is still considered the scary President.
"Democracy is doomed because xxxxx.
People are idiots. This nation has survived 240 years, with far greater challenges than a primary in one State.
I keep going back to Jan 6. First, no threat existed. A threat to our govt structure. WORST case scenario, Trump succeeds in tossing the EC electors of several states. There is no winner, and the HOUSE votes. Just Because Republicans controlled more States, is not automatic those Republican House members would have agreed. IF they did, Trump would be in office, the House still under Democrat control, impeach, and conviction by the Senate. If not, the Dems sweep the House and Senate in 2022 and repeat.
My point being. The Nation still fully functions
The People make the decision.
Or Trump is President four more years and The People make the decision.....Because the people are in control
I fail to see a disaster in any of the above mechanizations. Still we have a peaceful transfer of power.
Exactly right about Hillary being the real Russian asset HBTPFH!!! She paid for it all. WHY isn't she in prison.
Sebastian: "I don't know the Arizona situation well enough, but we all remember the way Trump helped elect Ossoff and Warnock in Georgia, giving Dems control of the Senate. A repeat in other states in 2022, when regaining control was in the cards, would indeed be terrible."
Continuing the transparent lies about Georgia to cover for Raffensberger/Sperling (& their team of Zuckerbuck's funded pro-dem morons) as well as Kemp.
Nobody is buying the GOPe Failure Theater lies any longer.
Every Georgian republican could see what Raffensberger and Kemp were up to and trying to lay their Romney-like behavior on Trump is not going to work any longer. The Georgian republican party base got a very good look at the GA version of the McCain Machine and they walked away.
Raffensberger and Kemp happily and joyfully allowed massive vote fraud to occur in full view of everyone and, afterwards, took minor steps to attempt to close the fraud barn door after the OrangeManBad had been defeated. Of course, once you've been bought off by the lefty billionaire dems, its really hard to get that door closed again, isn't it?
Not only that, Raffensberger and his loathsome staff played footsie with the dems and their media pals to falsely portray Trump's phone call with them as something it wasn't. It was only after the transcript of the call was discovered and released were Raffensberger's lies (and his staff's lies) were publicly exposed.
No doubt that made them heroes in Sebastian's eyes.
But yeah, lets just keep "safely" nominating Romney's and McCain's and McSally's and Loeffler's because that's how we'll appeal to all those dem leaning suburbanite women while completely abandoning the growing multi-ethnic working class populist coalition that could deliver long term majorities for republicans! All so the GOPe-ers can feel more comfortable at cocktail parties!
Good old Mitch and the GOPe gang have delivered "republican failure theater" huge wins for Biden across the board in the last several years. Tim Scott just endorsed Murkowski! Another huge "win" for Sebastian. So much better than those icky trumpians who look around and say, gee, things sure have become awfully corrupt haven't they? (I know, I know. Totally icky)
It's gotten so bad Mitch had to go on the Baier's show to lie about how gosh darn it, we republican's just had no leverage to stop Biden and Manchin and the rest sell us further down the river (wink wink!).
What a joke.
Maynard: "Here in Pima County, I gladly voted for Lake and Masters. I will do so again in November."
Well, you'll never be invited to the same cocktail parties as the upright and respectable Sebastian. That's for sure.
I'll bet Sebastian can almost smell folks like you when he has to walk into a Walmart.
France determine election results on election day.
Exactly.
After its 2000 debacle Florida revamped its vote-counting system to provide the number of ballots cast immediately upon close of polls and updates of the count every 20 minutes until the full count is completed that day. The technology is easily duplicated.
My only knowledge of any of this is from watching an interview of Kari Lake several months ago. She was entirely reasonable. I saw no horns or tail.
The GOP establishment is waiting for the music to stop and wonders where they will get to sit. The answer? In a chair. Behind a desk. At some media outlet that wants to keep them alive so they can pretend to be the "real" party.
We're watching the exercise in real time. Go read Taibbi's substack today. He gets it. The GOP establishment is who they are because they have never gotten it, and will never get it.
"The press is going to elect Donald Trump again. They did it once, tried again four years later, and now they’re on the hunt a third time. They hate him, but they keep doing him favors, the latest being an attempt to kill off his biggest primary rival.
If you haven’t been living under a rock, you likely noticed a sudden avalanche of center-left news offering left-handed praise of Florida governor Ron DeSantis."
Kemp and McConnell lost that GA Senate seat. First, by appointing Loeffler rather than Collins (Trump's choice), then not cracking down on the shenanigans in Fulton county, and finally by McConnell's refusal to pass the stimulus package, giving the Dems an opening.
I fully believe that they wanted the seat lost, because they needed to blame something on Trump.
@Tina Trent (8:58), what I wish for are politicians who care about the needs of their constituents. Low inflation. Low crime rates. Baby formula on the store shelves. Honest elections. A military that can actually fight and win battles. Gasoline prices back where they were when Donald Trump was President. Real wage growth for people who work for a living. Maintaining the right of self defense. That sort of thing.
I don’t live in Arizona; my information is second-hand. But from what I have read I think Kari Lake is more aligned with what I wish for (above) than Katie Hobbs. And I know enough about Mark Kelly to know that anyone will be better than he is.
When I first studied history, I thought of countries as causes in themselves with the leadership and citizenry all behind the country project. The more you learn, the more you realize that the leadership may have some people like that, but a lot of them are more of the "I want this country to succeed as long as I am in charge." There is also the contingent of "I want to be in charge at any cost," those that do not want the country to fail but prioritize their own ambition and hope for the best. And, of course, there is the "I support the country as long as I get paid" faction, who are more than willing to switch loyalties if they continue to get paid.
Leadership positions are always targets for the ambitious and the corrupt. It matters not if the target a council position in a small town or the head of state or a party leader in Arizona.
Earnest Prole: "After its 2000 debacle Florida revamped its vote-counting system to provide the number of ballots cast immediately upon close of polls and updates of the count every 20 minutes until the full count is completed that day. The technology is easily duplicated."
Completely correct.
Ducey, a complete douche of the McCain variety has done nothing to attack the rampant corruption in Maricopa County. There is a reason for that....the same reason that can be found in GA........
It's a catastrophe for our democracy that the party base actually picked candidates who advocated policies the base wanted, rather than rubber stamping the chamber of commerce choice? Sure thing.
I was a bit worried last night when Maricopa County had still not reported but it seems they couldn't fake enough votes. Katie Hobbs and her election commissioner were doing all they could but apparently it was not enough.
"...our democracy."
There it is again, "our democracy".
Beware of anyone using that phrase because he's talking about a democracy that doesn't include you.
The peasant rebellion takes another castle. It's a disaster for those who've been enjoying castle life. For everybody else it inspires hope.
A guy whose job was to raise the draw bridge whines that it's not his fault he couldn't get it up.
This is the way. Don’t know how much to trust in Thiel protégés like Masters or Vance, but Lake is a very impressive candidate.
I don't know where I copied it from, but it may well have been here. A blog comment that sums up the inadequacies of our electoral system.
Internet meme:
A few weeks ago, over 300 million lottery tickets were sold in four days. Within hours of the drawing, lottery officials knew how many winning tickets were sold and where the winning tickets were sold, down to the specific store locations.
Four days after voting has closed, some voting officials don't know how many people voted, how they voted, who they voted for or what the accurate results are.
****
Drago, Wibble: you are illustrating my point.
In Georgia Trump consciously, effectively depressed the GOP Senate vote. He helped the GOP lose the Senate. Such monumental stupidity is quite a way to protest GOPe shenanigans. He was a Dem tool.
At least for now, Trump has shut up about Kemp, who crushed it in the primary. It's too late for Walker. And Oz. Trump may yet lose us a winnable Senate.
Look, I'll support a Trumpist over any Dem, clowns like Walker or Oz included. But I do resent the clown in chief handing wins to Dems. Starting with FJB, of course.
I've always wondered what that small black thing is following the car over the cliff. Anyone know?
A stone dislodged by the car?
9 years in a penal colony is a brutal sentence for the crime. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope she doesn't have to serve that. She might.
What's more depressing than being handed 9 years in a Russian penal colony?
Realizing Joe Biden is your only hope.
The problem, now as in 2020, is that affluent professionals who hate Trump always vote against him and the candidates he supports, while working people who would benefit from MAGA policies often don't go to the polls.
Nobody goes there any more. It's too crowded.
Nobody goes there any more. It's too crowded.
The Dems have this disadvantage - they were in charge for the last two years and they will not change any of their policies because, according to the theory of the Divine Rightness of Dems, their policies are righteousness embodied and emanated. It is wrong to say that Dem policy failure doesn't matter because, as has been said for years and years and years, "Dems cheat in the big cities enough to win the state." This is wrongthoughttalk. Balk that talk. They've never been caught.
On the other hand, the Republicans can change things and will/might. There is a recent shining example of policies which would set us on the way to prosperity. But some Republican politicians hate the politician who created prosperity policies so much that you have to wonder if they will follow his policy example. These same politicians wonder why they have difficulty winning and why there are enormous, dangerous-to-winning-elections fissures in "their" party.
The less establishment types like him, the more I like him.

I think it's a hubcap.
All these whining RINOs are why I dropped my affiliation with the Arizona GOP. Screw these Purple People Eaters, they will never get another dime or vote from me. MAGA!
Have they actually admitted that Kari Lake is the winner yet? I googled and I don't see it.
There's also this quote from a Republican Maricopa County supervisor named Bill Gates:

So, some honesty:
The "Trumpists" are going to take away our grift!
"The election last night was a catastrophe for ... our democracy" is what you say when what you mean by "our democracy" is "my power"
"Republican political strategist"
Once upon a time I was a sucker, and actually had some respect for he pronouncements of "Republican political strategists".
I am no longer that foolish.
IMO the most important thing about Trump is how he caused a large number of incompetent buffoons to self identify.
Which is the first step to hosing out the Agean Stables of our democracy.
Martha McSally was the Thelma and Louise candidate.
Twice.
I guess I'm a bit surprised they didn't try to run her again.
In any event, despite both parties having a bunch of competitive Statewide races, there were roughly 50% more GOP primary voters than Dem voters.
So yes, I expect a GOP sweep in AZ in November
And then I expect the people voted in to actually get serious about election reform. So that Maricopa and Pima Counties can't screw things up again in 2024

There are Republican judges in AZ.. So the proper response is to be suing every step of the way to stop corrupt Democrat voting actions.
As for Kelly, his problem is that Sienima is acting like an actual "moderate", whereas he's constantly been a Biden rubber stamp.
Assuming that there are any debates, Blake Masters is going to have a great deal of fun pointing out that Keely is in lockstep with Biden, and that you should only vote for Kelly if you like what Biden's done to America.
And the best part of the fun will be that it's a completely true statement.
Note that the press is asking "What will Kirsten do" about the Reconciliation vote. But NO ONE is asking that about Marl Kelly, because everyone knows he's going to vote exactly the way Chuck Schumer tells him to vote.
And that's not a winning pattern in AZ this year.

Well sure, if you live your life in a world of lies you "remember" that.
OTOH, those of us who live in the real world recall that less than 2 weeks before the runoff, Mitch McConnell had the "GOP controlled Senate" pass a severe hundred billion dollar gov't funding bill that was all Democrat priorities.
$600 in "Covid relief" for the GA rural voters, $billions for Democrat fat cats.
So the GA rural voters decided that a "GOP controlled Senate" wasn't going to fight for them, didn't give a damn about them, and therefore wasn't worth them getting out and voting.
Which since that Senate would have still had Mitt and Murkowski, would mean that the Dems had all the votes they needed, even if there were supposedly 52 "GOP" members.
The GOP "Establishment" can whine all they want, but the lesson they need to take home is that the voters aren't going to come out for them, so long as they're telling the voters to FOAD.
One wonders if the GOPe are just too stupid to grasp that
Sebastian: "Drago, Wibble: you are illustrating my point."
No, we are not. Your Romney-type heroes proved our point.
But keep on defending the zuckerberg-funded "true conservatives", in particular the impeachment enabling liars on Raffensberger staff.
That's what "principled conservatives" do......
Next up for Sebastian: Why oh why did Trump make McConnell cave to the dems last week??!! Darn that Trump!!

Shhh!
You're disturbing Sebastian!!
People who refer to "our democracy" are not Republicans. That's a tell for the person being a closet Democrat or a RINO.

The AZ Republican Party Chair, Kelli Ward, is very strong Trump supporter. she's been party chair for three years.
PS Ward herself lost in 2 Senate primaries (McCain 2016 and McSally in 2018)
In her time as chairman no Republican has won a statewide national position (i.e. Senator). We'll see if she can turn that around with Lake thought I doubt it.
In the year before her Chairmanship 4 of the 9 House seats in AZ were held by Democrats. Today 5 of 9 are held by Democrats.
At the start of her tenure the state Senate was Republican majority 17-13. After 2020 that was down slightly 16-14.
And of course we know how the 2020 Presidential election turned out.
so I guess if there's ongoing massive voter fraud in AZ Chairperson Ward has made it worse or a best hasn't figured out how to counteract it.
Or maybe she's just a bad Party chair.
Well as an independent (a third of the AZ electorate) its not really my problem. But damn I am tired of doing the "lesser of two evils" choices on my ballots come November
Greg, Drago: I get the anger at the "GOP establishment." Fine. When it comes right down to it, I despise them as much as you do. But I despise Dems more.
The question for rational voters in 2020 Senate selection was not about Raff or Kemp, it was about Dem control of the Senate. Trump and his "rural voters" gave it to them. That's worse than anything Mitch or the GA GOPe did. It was monumentally stupid.
I'll vote for the right-most electable candidate. I think the GOP should always go with the right-most electable candidate. Clowns like Oz and Herschel undermine that strategy. The clown in chief makes it worse. But as I said, it depends. Oz and Herschel may squeak through, and the latter become a reliable Trumpist vote. Who knows--I don't think either one has any definite convictions or plans, so Trumpist support is entirely symbolic. It's a clown show. It helps the Dems.
Sebastian: "Greg, Drago: I get the anger at the "GOP establishment." Fine. When it comes right down to it, I despise them as much as you do. But I despise Dems more."
LOL
That's why you side with zuckerberg funded Schiffty helper Raffensberger.
Pull the other one.
Sebastian: "The question for rational voters in 2020 Senate selection was not about Raff or Kemp...."
LOL
Oh yes it was. Completely. No one believed the Senate race would be on the up and up because Raffensberger and Kemp made sure of that.
But you go right on excusing them so as to encourage the next set of Romney-ites who will help dems whenever an icky republican is running. Which will be everytime.
Sebastian, who do you think would be a better candidate than Walker?
Someone to counteract Warnock's appeal to Suburban Wine Moms?
Loeffler sure didn't work. Run her a third time?
Walker might not be Ted Cruz in intellect but he's still smarter than Hirano.
Sebastian says, "I'll vote for the right-most electable candidate. I think the GOP should always go with the right-most electable candidate." I think that was William F. Buckley's rule. It makes sense. Yes, that meant I had to vote for McCain for President, one of the American politicians I found most offensive (author of McCain-Feingold, etc.). Trump isn't/wasn't a "conservative" but wasn't he the better choice than Hillary or Joe? But we shouldn't be stuck with Trump in 2024. Give him a big spotlight at the GOP Convention and a full-throated endorsement of the achievements of his Administration, and then nominate a conservative candidate who is focused on WINNING and GOVERNING. How about Supreme Court Justice Trump?
Georgia was lost because the establishment didn't even entertain voters concern. If they had just attempted to care about the shenanigans in Fulton County, maybe people would have trusted the process. But the GOPe hitched their wagon to Raffensburger and so they got what they deserved. Remember, they recorded phone calls and deceptively edited them to forward the Narrative. They are not our allies.

1: It wasn't Trump, it was McConnell
2: If I'd been a GA voter, I would have gotten out and voted in the runoff, for both GOP candidates
3: You can not win with only the "I'll always vote GOP" voters. You have to also have "I'll vote GOP if they give me reason to" voters.
And McConnell chose to rub in their noses, two weeks before the runoff election, that the GOP Senate was never going to do jack shit for them
So they chose not to vote.
While this makes me sad in the short term, what will eventually make me homicidal is GOPe politicians deciding they'd rather lose, than give the GOP base voters anything of value.

This is also entirely true.
The Fulton County Democrat "vote counters" shut down the office, kicked out the press and poll watchers, and then immediately resumed counting ballots.
I watched the video of this on 60 Minutes.
If Kemp and Raf had immediately descended upon Fulton County for this entirely illegitimate behavior, there'd be two more GOP Senators.
But instead they both fought tooth and nail to defend the Fulton County Democrat vote stealers.
Please explain why a Republican voter should think their vote counts, when that happens?

PS Ward herself lost in 2 Senate primaries (McCain 2016 and McSally in 2018)
In her time as chairman no Republican has won a statewide national position (i.e. Senator). We'll see if she can turn that around with Lake thought I doubt it.
Well, McSally isn't running this time. So the chances of a victory are already much higher
so I guess if there's ongoing massive voter fraud in AZ Chairperson Ward has made it worse or a best hasn't figured out how to counteract it.
Wow, that was an amazingly stupid statement.
Do tell us how a GOP Party Chair is supposed to stop Maricopa Democrats form engaging in vote fraud.
I'll wait.
Well as an independent (a third of the AZ electorate) its not really my problem. But damn I am tired of doing the "lesser of two evils" choices on my ballots come November
And which are the "lesser evils" for you this time around, the Democrat Gov, AG, SS, & Senate candidates, or the GOP?

I don't know but sure indicates a certain weakness on the party's part. I mean Joe Biden beats Donald Trump. I can't certainly understand the pro-Trump stance that IT COULD ONLY BE FRAUD!!! but maybe, just maybe it could have been the candidate himself. I'll defer to your greater insight into the average Arizona voter

Well we'll see how it plays out. I can you already I'm not a Kari Lake fine. Oh sure I liked her as newscaster who wasn't too afraid to suggest on air that she wasn't all in the leftist memes but do I really want someone who's major skill is reading news copy as my Governor? As for Blake Masters. Well I most certainly want Mark Kelly out of office and Blake Masters would have to do a lot of wrong for me not to vote for him. I haven't yet familiarized myself enough to judge the other candidates.
PS: I thought Ducey was a great governor. YMMV

Did you bother to actually eat the audit of the 2020 election?
Exactly how many people do they have to find where the individual says "I didn't vote in the election in AZ", but there's a voted absentee ballot for that person, before you'll agree "there was something seriously wrong with the 2020 election"?
Have you watched "2000 Mules"? Have you read anything about it from a non-left wing source?
Or do you simply sit in your bubble of ignorance and spout "I haven't seen anything proving that the 2020 election was stolen", while refusing to actually look at any evidence?
