That's more people than showed up for all the Joe Biden campaign events undertaken in 2020 ... combined.
Impeachment 3.0: The Deep State Strikes Again, is a clear and progressive concern, or should be, for all the People, and our Posterity conceived and born. The first in the series with foreign collusion. The second in the wake of a select congressional sanctioned riot.
Great to see it. After all 70+ million Americans voted for TRump, and if a couple states had honest elections, he'd still be in office.
Among the elites. The lawyers, journalists, MSM, Billionaires, Banksters, Professors etc. Trump has maybe 10 percent support. Among the rest of the Country its almost 55-45. Its unheard of.
Business Insider: "Trump sent cryptic message to Merrick Garland before warrant was unsealed: 'The country is on fire. What can I do to reduce the heat?'"
Trump laying the foundation, in case another Jan6 happens. Democrats won't be able to legitimately say we have to impeach him again for inciting a new round of violence.
Not that it will stop democrats. Nothing stops democrats. But Trump will be able to say, look I offered to help prevent another Jan6.
The Biden administration misjudged the amount of support they would have for the raid at Mar a Lago. Voters are pissed. I do not believe independents who are on the fence will be swayed to the Democrat's side due to this stunt. Did they really think this would cause Trump's supporters to abandon him? Really?
WSJ is reporting that "the magistrate judge on duty in Palm Beach County was unavailable" on Friday afternoon thus resulting in the anti-Trump judge being presented with the search warrant. How convenient. Especially since they didn't execute the warrant until three days later. Who believes this wasn't coordinated?
That is a lot of flags.
You know, one of the terms I love is when somebody (I have no idea who it was) referred to Althouse's commentators as "hillbillies."
I wear it as a badge of honor.
And it occurred to me that the rich people of Mar-A-Lago are probably thinking that their little rich hamlet is being overrun by a basket of deplorables.
What Hillary discovered, to her horror, is that the upper class voters are way outnumbered by the lower class voters.
The other thing I noticed -- which is awesome -- is that in North Carolina, the Republican candidate for the Senate has Tim Scott speaking on television campaign ads for him.
About time!
What would be truly amazing -- and really helpful to our republic -- is if a sizable number of deplorable black people voted along with Kanye West and 50 Cent for Trump. If we could get 20% or 30%, I think the dam might burst. That would be very, very helpful.
It took me years to switch to the Republican party. I get it! There's a narrative in the media, and you have to be cynical of the media. But as more and more cynical people see through the lies -- the elitists in the Democrat party are in serious trouble.
Fuck Merrick Garland and the braindead vegetable he rode in on.
Obviously another insurrection.
Maybe 40 people? But do they vote?
You better believe it.
That's obviously Antifa.
Did you hear all that "country" music?
Needs bouncy castles. The Canadian Truckers showed how to do it right, bouncy castles.
Rarely has an issue been handed on a silver platter to Republicans that is so clear-cut.
Yada yada yada, stripping away of fundamental freedoms.
Oh lordie, check out the spelling on the sign held by one particularly intelligent cultist, “FBI is asshoe”. It’s good to laugh.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2021/08/31/deplorables-basket-hillary-clinton/
Hillary's comment was "prescient"!
Doesn't look like an overwhelming crowd. Not even sure if it has reached whelm status.
Cult Stereotypes on Parade.
Now Special Prosecutor Dunham should subpoena all the FBI collected docs that are related to his investigation, crossfire hurricane.
We had a Trump car rally come through our town just prior to election in 2020. One and a half hours of cars, trucks, flags. It was spurred by a Facebook post. No organization, no command center … pure grassroots response. At the time I thought it meant Trump was going to win. He officially didn’t but that rally was impressive and troubled my liberal neighbors. It went right through our town one street off mine. And of course ours was just one of many nationwide, spontaneous Trump rallies by car, by truck, by boat.
I foresee this happening again. The proles are vast, they’re angry, and they will not remain silent. Rallies in every twin, burg, and hamlet is an ideal way to make a statement our leaders are too weak to make.

You know how when we say the Left can't meme? They also don't recognize a good meme when they see it.
For others, perhaps like Inga, who don't recognize that that sign is satire, I direct them to this incident from 2 years ago:
https://youtu.be/nG5PoHyA3dM
Ever seen a half dozen of the 81 million Biden voters come together in a street rally/protest?
It's quite the spectacle.
‘FBI is asshoe’
It’s a meme, and started with an overseas protestor saying ‘China is asshoe.’ It’s good to laugh!! At you.
“FBI is asshoe”.
It's a well-known joke amongst those with a functioning brain.
China is asshoe is where it started.
That's like seven Harris/Biden campaign rallies all at once!
Oh, Inga! Bless your heart.
Be careful before braying about how dumb someone else is. You may have a blind spot.
It’s safest to show respect to all, and frankly, intellectually challenged persons deserve respect. And you might find yourself in that category some day. Even today.
I'm sure Feds have tons of video, are starting to use face recognition to determine individuals, all vehicles are having license plates checked, and those involved will find some type of harassment in the near future. It's how the government now operates, and is remarkably similar to the Nazis and the KGB.
"Intellectually challenged person's reserve respect."
No they do not. And I'm done pretending they do.
Even today we see intelligence on display, right here in the comments sections. Defund the FBI!
“It’s safest to show respect to all, and frankly, intellectually challenged persons deserve respect. “
Yes, but you must not allow deluded thinking of any kind to go unchallenged. Letting delusion go is not kind. It is most unhelpful.
The feds have gone and raided Mar-a-Lago.
There’s quiet crowing now on NPR.
On MSNBC it’s a farrago
of Our democracy! and Hardy-har!
The New York Times showcased a week of gloating,
then tried to tone it down, noting a presage
of backlash in November’s midterm voting,
but Times commenters didn’t get the message.
They’re fulminating in the comment sections,
demanding that the Supreme Court be packed,
denouncing baseless claims about elections,
fisking the Presidential Records Act
and calling for some facts to be downplayed:
Panties were fingered, but don’t call it a raid.
It’s safest to show respect to all, and frankly, intellectually challenged persons deserve respect. And you might find yourself in that category some day. Even today.
Yes, You might even find yourself a Kamala Harris sign painter.
There are a lot of legal issues I don't have a good grip on here.
Is a failure to abide by the requirements of the Presidential Records Act a criminal offense?
Are there explicit standard procedures that must be followed in order to declassify documents?
How would a prosecutor prove that Trump did not declassify the documents?
In the Hillary case, the failure to prosecute was justified on the basis (partly on the basis?) that it was impossible to prove "intent". Does the issue of intent arise here?
Would prosecution of Trump on these occur in Florida, or DC?
Or is the Merrick Garland hope here that he can find a DC jury that would happily find Trump guilty of anything?
“Oh lordie, check out the spelling on the sign held by one particularly intelligent cultist, “FBI is asshoe”. It’s good to laugh.”
Old one… but a good one.

Yup. They burned down a few cities.
Beasts of Inga: "It’s a meme, and started with an overseas protestor saying ‘China is asshoe.’ It’s good to laugh!! At you."
Thats why Inga is completely oblivious to this years old well known meme: it originated with a completely honest take from someone who doesnt speak perfect english and is highly critical of China.
Since the ChiComs own Biden's Earpiece and the entire Biden family, including the ChiComs supplying crack/coke/meth to Hunter along with many underage trafficked prostitutes (which Inga labeled "perfectly normal"), Inga knew nothing about this meme nor will she accept the truth of it now.
Inga still accepts the BS story about the Wuhan flu comibg from a bowl of bat soup in the Wuhan wet market and not from the Wuhan gain-of-function virus lab!
LOL
Such a hopeless dolt cultist.
This is the song of the year right here!

oh gosh
I just called the whole state of Massachusetts "stupid" over three decades.
That's millions of people I've never met. Insulted them. Really I should have said "uninformed" because the media has hidden the truth from them.
I know this.
The internet is so funny. It enables us to have conversations with people around the world, and be exposed to all kinds of interesting and provocative thinkers.
I don't get into much political conversations with my real life friends. And in my family we try to avoid politics because we have two Democrats and two Republicans, and political conversations can get really mean, really quick.
In real life, I would imagine most people here are nice and interesting. I know I'm more polite and kinder in life than on the Althouse blog. Sometimes I let myself rant here just to let it out. Apologies if I offended anyone. I know we have at least one retired abortion doctor on this blog and he's always been sweet to me. God bless everyone. I mean it. Going to take a little break.

You’ll be hearing from my attorney, Drago! :)

That's the thing about Trump - his swag sells.
People want anything with his name on it. So entrepreneurs get all these flags and banners and hats made, setting up shop on the street and selling them.
And the drive-by rally parties. They were doing those everywhere in 2020, even in LA. Totally self organized, nothing ginned up.
Republicans never used to do that stuff before. Maybe it's all fading now but it was quite extraordinary.
Bless your heart, Inga.
I guess "cultist" is a term of respect.
Asked and Answered:
Is a failure to abide by the requirements of the Presidential Records Act a criminal offense?
No. There are zero penalties in the law. It is not uncommon at all for Presidents to take documents with them when they leave the White House, which Trump makes clear that previous Presidents have done, including his predecessor, Barack Obama, who is in possession of approximately 33 million documents which will likely end up in his Presidential Library. Trump, of course, will never get a library because they hate him.
Are there explicit standard procedures that must be followed in order to declassify documents?
Some. But the President is the ultimate authority on what is or is not classified, according to the Supreme Court, and he can declassify in whatever manner he chooses. So, ipso facto, none of the documents in his possession are classified.
How would a prosecutor prove that Trump did not declassify the documents?
They can't. But that's not the point. The point is to arrest him on any crime whether they can prove it or not to attempt to stop him from running in 2024.
In the Hillary case, the failure to prosecute was justified on the basis (partly on the basis?) that it was impossible to prove "intent". Does the issue of intent arise here?
Yes. There was plenty of proof of Hillary's intent. But because we had a corrupt FBI head (James Comey), he chose not to persue her, even though that is not a decision for the FBI. She can still be prosecuted the moment an honest Attorney General is appointed. She is still in possession of top secret materials. Intentionally. Trump, on the other hand, has no intent to possess something he's not allowed to, and that's demonstrated by how he's been working with the federal government to give them anything they want.
Would prosecution of Trump on these occur in Florida, or DC?
DC. Because that's where the corrupt juries are located. You know, juries full of Hillary donors.
Would prosecution of Trump on these occur in Florida, or DC?
Or is the Merrick Garland hope here that he can find a DC jury that would happily find Trump guilty of anything?
Two good points. I doubt Garland would risk a Florida jury.

Trump makes clear that previous Presidents have done, including his predecessor, Barack Obama, who is in possession of approximately 33 million documents which will likely end up in his Presidential Library. - Buckweathikes
Word is...
“President Barack Hussein Obama kept 33 million pages of documents, much of them classified,” Mr. Trump said in a statement. “How many of them pertained to nuclear? Word is, lots!”
But the National Archives and Records Administration, or NARA, which preserves and maintains records after a president leaves office, confirmed on Friday afternoon that Mr. Obama had turned over his documents — classified and unclassified — as required under the Presidential Records Act of 1978.
The National Archives “assumed exclusive legal and physical custody of Obama presidential records when President Barack Obama left office in 2017, in accordance with the Presidential Records Act,” the statement said. “NARA moved approximately 30 million pages of unclassified records to a NARA facility in the Chicago area, where they are maintained exclusively by NARA. Additionally, NARA maintains the classified Obama presidential records in a NARA facility in the Washington, D.C., area.”
“As required by the P.R.A.,” the statement added, referring to the Presidential Records Act, “former President Obama has no control over where and how NARA stores the presidential records of his administration.”

So- more than came to see Biden campaign, then? Alrighty.
The problem for the elites is that the young men who traditionally fight the kinds of wars that they are picking right now with Russia and China know that their government feels about them the exact same way that Howard does, and so nobody is signing up for their army.
What Biden has done by sending the FBI to raid Trump's home (no, I don't for a minute believe that Garland did this without Biden's approval -- as the saying goes, I was born at night, but not last night) is a high-risk venture. No former President has ever been subjected to anything like this by a successor President - until now. The mainstream news has been carrying water for Biden by speculating that Trump was exposing nuclear secrets to Russian or other foreign espionage. But what if they can't come up with any substantial evidence that Trump created such a risk to national security? Normal people already think the Jan. 6 hearings are a bunch of hooey, but they mostly ignore them. But when you raid the former President's home, don't we Americans think you better have a forking good reason?
thank you Inga
I hope you are well!

Exactly. I have read (several articles) that the recruiting has really dropped off in the southern states that have provided way more than their share of recruits. What did they think would happen when they bad mouth the former Confederate states, white people, etc? Only soy boys and those wanting tranny surgery are still attracted to the armed forces and these groiups don't constitute large numbers.

Uh, I was a notorious nevertrumper in 2016. He freaked me the fuck out. That was the most stressful primary campaign in my whole life. I was a Rubio man.
One time in a law firm break room -- I would talk about politics at work, I was so worked up in 2016 -- I told this other attorney that I was voting for Rubio. And she told me that Rubio was gay, she heard a rumor. And I said, "Am I supposed to not vote for him because he's gay?" That mortified the shit out of her.
(He's not gay, he's married, and I think the Cruz campaign was spreading rumors -- Trump actually warned Rubio about a dirty campaign against him)
Anyway, I was a Rubio man. And when he was out, I was a Cruz man. I didn't really like Cruz. But I was like, "Come on, Ted Cruz." And then he was out.
And then we were down to Trump and that moderate fucker from Indiana, I forget who he was, really annoying guy. I was trying to rally around him. And then he was out, days later. (I was convinced Trump had simply paid him to drop out).
And then Trump was the nominee. And I was like, holy shit.
And I was a little nervous because I had signed the Never Trump Pledge. And it was circulating around on the internet. I was like, shit, I might get audited or something.
And I had to vote for the Libertarian pothead. All he talked about was marijuana, his solution for everything. Dude.
And then Trump was president and everything was fine! Hell yes I changed my mind.

The Trump economy was the best part of Trump. That's why the Chi coms had to help destroy it. Now the greedy lying democrats can attempt to take credit for any upswing - that has nothing to do with them.
You do notice a certain commenter - who started all this back and forth - still hasn't admitted she was wrong for mocking the sign holder.
Jim at: "You do notice a certain commenter - who started all this back and forth - still hasn't admitted she was wrong for mocking the sign holder."
Inga's modus operandi once her latest talking point/narrative has collapsed, is to ignore it, then move on to saying she never said it at all, then when the receipts are thrown at her she will say she no longer cares about it and no should care about it and its all in the past so let it go.
Then, at some point after all that, something will trigger a conversation/memory and Inga will "forget" that she "forgot" about that and "no longer believes it" or "wants to talk about it" and she will relaunch the same stupid thing she had said previously as if it had never been debunked.
We've seen this time and time again with not just Inga but from all of our lefties. Idiot jim5301 actually attempted to reignite all the previous debunked BS about Trump and Epstein as he went into Full Defense Mode for Magistrate "judge" and Clinton operative/Epstein pal and lawyer for Epstein pals Reinhart.
Inga: "You see Althouse? This is what I’m referring to regarding lies from Drago. I did say you were a dumb b****, yes, after you first insulted me. I never called any female a c***."
Inga now claims that she only called Althouse a "dumb b****" and that it was another lefty commenter that called Althouse a "c***", all the while Inga demands conservative "cultists" on Althouse blog demonstrate greater civility!
LOL
An absolutely pitch perfect Inga-ism.
