"Disney has never endorsed Gay Days... Nor has it tried to rein it in. There isn’t much the company could do anyway."

"For red shirt days, attendees buy tickets like anyone else. The planning is handled by private companies like One Magical Weekend, Gay Days Inc., and the lesbian-focused Girls in Wonderland.... Would the anti-L.G.B.T.Q. vitriol that has surrounded Disney in recent months spill over to Gay Days?...  On Saturday morning... Gay Days participants streamed into Disney World. Many of them wore red shirts with the words 'SAY GAY' on the back....  [Disney's] Parks & Resorts division celebrates Pride month with a barrage of rainbow merchandise in its shops, including a button featuring Mickey Mouse and a rainbow along with the slogan 'Belong, Believe, Be Proud.' There were also rainbow-themed desserts... [and] Pride-themed photo backdrops.... There were no protesters. There were no cautionary signs. The only tension I saw came from a gay man who was cranky that a Disney manager had told him that his shirt could be viewed as inappropriate. It featured Pluto in leather gear and the phrase 'I like it wruff.'"

David Begley म्हणाले...

1. Has everyone else noticed that June as LGBTQ month has really amped up this year? It wasn’t like this in past years.

2. Of course the gay guy objected to being told his shirt was inappropriate? Imagine having to explain that shirt to your seven year old?

3. We need a heterosexual pride month. Celebrate porn and promiscuity.

This is fascinating and telling. Normally, any non-Disney sanctioned apparel or gear is seized as a trademark violation and destroyed. The bearer is removed from the venue. That this didn't happened shows this group wields enormous power.

Really? If the Alphabet Soup people were to politely 'disappear' once their annual debauchery were finished, I could almost live with that.

Yet they don't.

So, "soaking in [normalcy] it"?

No, no we most certainly are not.

At some point everyone, even gay people, will become sick and tired of dedicating a month to one specific sexual preference and having municipalities, schools, and corporations have to 'celebrate' it in some farcical and contrived way.

I don’t give two farts in a windstorm over straight or gay days, but that is a bit odd. We can’t have a straight month because they are the overlords? Like, you can’t be a Yankees fan because they always win? Only Germany can celebrate VE Day, because the Americans won the war and are soaking in victory all the time. I’ll have to think about that.

What is the pathology that drives people to sexualize childish things?

The fact that the Left in general just doesn't realize that normal people look at this think thing"you are pathetic" is a really telling thing.

And it tells nothing good about the left

Selective enforcement of rules is what backwards tribal affiliation systems thrive on.

The elites that run this regime want to get back to the good old days of their trips to Epstein Island.

The video of Hunter Biden naked waving and illegal gun around with a hooker while Joe Biden is trying to pass tougher gun laws on the proles and take away our freedom is another example of this.

The proles will not abide this anymore.

I look forward to the morally rotten unprincipled shitheads being brought down.

Arguably, ‘getting’ to spend a small fortune as an adult to take your kids to Disney world is the endgame of heterosexuality.

Doesn't Disney==Gay? Hasn't it, ALWAYS?

Yes, "full of joy, merry; light-hearted, carefree". There was semantic drift when the word (and others, including "pride") was culturally appropriated by the politically congruent in the early to mid 20th century in order to normalize trans/homosexual bands in the transgender spectrum.

Some years ago our family found we'd inadvertently booked our Disney vacation to coincide with Gay Days. As rock-ribbed Republicans, my dear wife and I were worried about how seeing same-sex couples would affect our pre-school aged daughters. Turns out our daughters didn't notice and the gay couples were well-groomed and polite as any other Disney guest. A big yawn.

Buckwheathikes म्हणाले...

Are people against Gay Day? If a bunch of gay people want to go hang out with each other at a children's theme park, so be it.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with Disney executives, as a corporate strategy, creating gay content and injecting it in movies for US consumers, but removing it in the same movie when they do their Chinese release or Saudi Arabian release. That's manipulative. It could get you thrown off a roof in some of these countries.

Gay Day also has nothing to do with Disney flexing its corporate muscle in the state of Florida to attempt to influence legislation or select politicians for us, just because they've hired a bunch of gay employees. Corporations influencing legislation is vastly different than a bunch of affiliated people deciding they want to go watch Goofy and Minni Mouse on the same day. Once you make that leap into deciding that, as a corporation, you're going to dictate the appropriate zeitgeist, you are open to legitimate and vehement criticism.

Ron DeSantis is right to push back and he'd make a fine President, I think. Disney frankly is already enjoying the kinds of corporate tax perks in Florida that mere mortals could only wish for.

I’ve been there during gay days. The gays do all kinds of inappropriate PDA, including having sex in the bathrooms and behind buildings. There is tons of footage of this on the internet but Disney refuses to do anything about it. I have reported gays with their hands down each other’s pants to staff and they just looked at me and turned away. I grew up with gays and just saw them as part of the landscape like any other group. The last twenty years have made me LOATHE them as a group and the ones I was friends I have cut ties with since they condone this type of behavior even if they don’t participate themselves. Just like the 14 year old boys being “initiated” into the gay lifestyle by grown men that they tacitly condone.

Disney frequently stops guests for inappropriate clothing at the gate - they ask you to return to your vehicle to change or buy clothing at one of their stores. There are regular discussions on Twitter regarding the skimpy tops and short shorts of the usual female suspects.

The goal of this movement shoving the most radical obscure grooming racist and sexist bullshit into our faces is to tear us apart.

Forcing women and girls in female sports to compete against men is just one weapon they use.

Allowing rapes in schools and covering them up because it was one of their groomed "trans" males in a girls bathroom doing the raping.

Howard cannot defend teaching kinder gardners learning about how they might be trans and being groomed by radical elementary teachers and told not to tell their parents. He can't really defend letting men and boys into girls bathrooms and sports. He can't defend covering up rape.

But he can throw out stupid dishonest bullshit like this.

That is all he has.

But if you "conservative" people over react and start making generalizations about GROUPS of people you are giving his dishonest bullshit partial credence.

Our daughter has been playing with the neighbor kid every day for several months. She has 2 moms. They are not Biden supporters. They are better people than Howard.

You all need to do a better job of differentiating between the Barbarians and the people who we can coexist with.

Why does it have to be organized and formalized and a mass production?

Why can't Disney "Gay Days" been whenever one gay man and one gay woman ... okay, two gay men or two gay women happen to show up at the park? Or four gay men or four gay women. They have their day. It's fun. The straights see the gays having fun. Why does it have to be anything more than that?

Or was the intent to say, "Families with children, stay away on these days. The park is yours the rest of the year"?
