Things so inconsequential I've never heard of them.

I had to look up space hopper:
The term "space hopper" is more common in the United Kingdom; the toy is less familiar in the United States, and may be known as a "hoppity hop", "hippity hop" or a "sit n bounce"....
The British animated sketch show Monkey Dust features the recurring character Ivan 'The Meat-Safe Murderer' Dobsky, a man imprisoned in 1974 for a crime he didn't commit, being finally released in every episode with no possessions other than a variety of 1970s clothing and a space hopper called Mr. Hoppy.

Spoiler alert....

Mr. Hoppy is eventually revealed to be both sentient and responsible for the Meat-Safe Murders himself (as well as the murder of Dobsky's wife of several hours).

I'm sure JKR and I disagree on many things, but I do appreciate her fighting spirit.

Now, if she and the Rowlings of the left, realizing that much they hold dear is at risk of prog destruction, come over to the dark side, that would be something. Althouses first though--maybe a step too far anyway.

how DARE her!
How Dare her NOT be heartbroken over losing the approval of people she's never met!
Thing ONLY Thing, in this world; that matters, is: The approval of people she's never met

If deranged, mentally ill people don't approve of you;
you've Lost the approval of deranged mentally ill people

I love this woman. oh how the hivemind left would love to shove her in the mind-crime Gulag.

She just laughs.

Time for the mockery to begin.

I look forward to the decent Trans people taking over this movement and jettisoning the loud fascist losers that the media/oligarchs keep putting out there.

Most of them just want to be left alone and want to leave everyone else alone.

It is a small minority of loud shitheads making a mess. They are warmongers too now.

When a group of people is completely without principles funny shit happens.

JKR has disfavored men in beards?

What's next, demanding men wear long pants?
Banish the word 'garner' from our lexicon?

Maybe Musk can help get her on the board of Twatter.

I'm more interested in the first portion of her Tweet - "To the many bearded men in my mentions who seem to think the loss of their approval is a mortal blow" ... what's that all about?

JK Rowling has an excellent series of mystery novels written under the name Robert Galbraith. It features a detective named Cormoran Strike and his faithful sidekick, Robin, a woman who wants to be a detective. The stories are interesting and chosen such that a segment of 21st century society is illuminated, a different segment, or sometimes several different segments, in each book. The series is dark with intermittent shining lights as were the last few Harry Potter books and in the same way. The characters must step up to horrifying situations which society has bathed in blather and designated: "ignore" - and our heroes do step up and act.

Haha, millennial beards. So common now.

They all look like Don Jr to me.

Loved my space hopper as a kid.

I encounter this, occasionally, in everyday life: something I had or knew as a kid (UK), is completely unknown in the US. I then have to make up some interesting story about something....uninteresting.

She probably meant men who identify as bearded women.

Well, not completely unknown. Though history suggests the UK Space Hopper came first US kids-adults were introduced to the Hoppity Hop and Hoppity Horse a few months later. They were a big hit in the states…

I recognize the horn handles of the Space Hopper as something from my US youth, perhaps a copycat item introduced later…

1st) i Liked the tele-series of these a lot, BEFORE i found out she'd written them
2nd) JK, COULD, if she wanted to make people's heads Explode
.a) Say that (s)he Really IS Robert Galbraith, and ALWAYS HAS BEEN
.b) Tell people, that: As a Trans person: He is ENTITLED to an Opinion
and that
.c) It is TRANSPHOBIA, and HATE SPEACH! for people to criticize him
