Quoted in "Andrew Cuomo has reemerged. But New Yorkers don’t want him back" (WaPo).
ADDED: I can see by the first few comments that I need to make my point more obvious. I'm saying "Andrew M. Cuomo is leveraging cancel culture" because Andrew Cuomo paints himself as the victim of the cancel culture. He's ready for the pushback that will in one way or another insist that he should have stayed canceled. The quote in the post title is the response he's crafted. He must think it's clever and powerful rhetoric... or, at least, the best he can do under his constrained circumstances.

I thought we did cancel the incompetence Cuomo, yet here you are.
Cancel Brett Kavanaugh!
A woman said that he sexually assaulted her when they were teenagers.
What did Cuomo say about that accusation?
No, cancel you and Fredo.
Cancel corruption, which is exactly why he is a nobody now. Go away little elite boy. Go far far away. You are lucky you aren't in prison for killing the elderly in NY.
Gridlock is the ONLY Thing keeping us from destruction
Minority views are Important, right? If all the Blacks in america are opposed to something, that's still only 10%... But, minority views are Important, right?
SO, if 40% of americans are opposed to something, shouldn't THAT minority view be Important?
If only half the people in the country want something (along with the Vice President)..
Should the other half of people just be screwed?
I don't know that he's "leveraging" cancel culture. Trying to co-opt its language, sure. (At the risk of crossing the streams, I'll compare this effort to Putin's attempt to co-opt the language of the western Left - racism, de-nazification - to cover his aggression toward Ukraine.)
Da Brothers Cuomo are no longer useful.
There ought to be a word or phrase to describe this rhetorical technique. It's a technique in wide use by dishonest demagogues. Let's call it abstract perfectionism.
Carol King immediately popped into my think tank.
And it's too late, baby, now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Somethin' inside has died
And I can't hide and I just can't fake it
Oh, no, no, no, no, no
(No, no, no, no)
"I don't know that he's "leveraging" cancel culture. Trying to co-opt its language, sure."
I guess I need to get out my sledgehammer. I'll update the post to make it more clear.
It's nice to blame someone else, but Pogo was right. We have the exact politics we deserve.
Notably, Cuomo left "sexism" out of his leftist litany.
He is the epitome of New York values and ethics. They deserve each other. Birds of a feather flock together.
"...ignore all those dead people in the nursing homes. I'M the REAL victim here." - Andrew Cuomo
The view from behind the Cuomo forehead. Kapish?
Cuomo is a scumbag, but his removal left us NYers worse off with fully owned Hochul who besides extending the worst of Cuomo’s covid policies pursues via executive order even more horrifyingly broad powers to detain and sanction people in the name of public health. So yeah, Cuomo is a scumbag, but relatively speaking he was our scumbag and he was taken out by darker forces than what he represents.
He's not wrong though I suspect he (and the people he's trying to convince) would have a different definition how those things should be canceled than some of us.
When you ain't got nothin'
You got nothin to lose,
You're invisible now,
You got no secrets to conceal...
Ah, how does it feel?
Yah, I'm also in favor of government gridlock at the moment. Full on pile up on the 405 during the morning rush gridlock...
He's a self-pitying, narcissistic asshole. Good riddance.
I guess the door didn't hit him in the ass hard enough.
Aw come on baby don’t breakup with me just because you found me in bed with another girl. If you want to break up with something, break up with your own two lying eyes.
Seems like it's just easier to cancel pricks like Cuomo and keep him away from power. Obviously he should never be in control of people's lives ever again.

Self-awareness is not one of Andrew's qualities. Though is a fan of mirrors, what he sees is not what the world sees.
All one need do is add to his screed: But for the love of God, don't cancel me because I sexually harass women!
Then you see what an empty string of phrases he uses.
His emergence highlights the bind he's in. Disgraced former New York Governors normally earn a prestige panel position at CNN...
Cuomo speaking live about the Trump administration and the Kavanaugh nomination on September 25, 2018:
"after the me-too movement, [this administration] did absolutely nothing when it came to sexual harassment. They have always diminished the charges of women. Always. Consistently. And they're doing it again. To cheapen or ridicule the pain a woman suffers from a sexual attack, uh, is disgusting. Sexist and disgusting."

October 7, 2018, following Kavanaugh's confirmation, Cuomo released a statement that included:
"The confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court is a sad day for this country, and it will haunt us for as long as he is on the court... In New York, we will not waver and will not back down. To Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and all survivors of sexual assault, we believe you and we will fight for you."

Also in 2018:
"In an online essay, Ms. Boylan, who worked at the state’s economic development agency from 2015 to 2018, detailed years of uncomfortable interactions with Mr. Cuomo. Ms. Boylan, 36, said her boss at the time had told her Mr. Cuomo had a 'crush' on her. She also said he had gone 'out of his way to touch me on my lower back, arms and legs.' In October 2017, Ms. Boylan wrote, Mr. Cuomo told her they should 'play strip poker' during a flight from an event in Western New York. In 2018, she said, Mr. Cuomo gave her an unsolicited kiss at his Manhattan office."

By the way, when going to Google to research Andrew Cuomo, when you type in "Andrew Cuomo Sex" 9intending to finish with "sexual harassment"), Google autofills to "Sexiest Man Alive."
This is the world we live in.
Political power is heroin and he's scratching his arm.
Cancel education inequality without crushing teachers' unions and endorsing vouchers?
Not a chance in hell.
Mario's boys aren't nearly as smart as him, but in the grifter game they are tops!
'It's nice to blame someone else, but Pogo was right. We have the exact politics we deserve.'
No.
You're the one who voted for the cocksuckers running this country, not me.
This one's on you.
He must be running low on funds. Grifters gotta grift.
Back in your can, Worm!
Andrew Cuomo cancels himself.
"Seems like it's just easier to cancel pricks like Cuomo and keep him away from power. Obviously he should never be in control of people's lives ever again."
The reality is that "pricks like Cuomo" compose a large contingent of those who seek and obtain power, political and otherwise.
Mama needs new Clorox. That bunghole don't bleach itself.
"He's a self-pitying, narcissistic asshole."
For many politicians (of any party) that's pretty much the job description.
The man from planned parent/hood speaks.
"The reality is that "pricks like Cuomo" compose a large contingent of those who seek and obtain power, political and otherwise."
Unfortunately, that is and always has been true.
He had his chance.
Robert Cook is not wrong …
Cuomo doesn't understand that checks and balances are a feature. Not a bug.
“Cancel” this, “cancel” that. Word salad from a creepy loser. A boring, unimportant loser to boot.
