1. A high school teacher says the kids roasted him for eating lunch "with no bev."
2. Everyone should live like a grandmother — 10 reasons!
3. What if it had been Ben Affleck slapping Jerry Seinfeld? — asks Michael Rapaport.
4. Maybe time is a landscape, and the dead are on the other side of a hill... or so Einstein seems to have written to a friend whose husband had died.
5. Four young brothers pitch barbershop quartet singing.

You made me look at the kids singing.
Find a more inscrutable acronym than SPEBSQUA. Yet another musical subculture. Let a thousand flowers bloom. They've got it nailed.
What's the 'r' tag? I clicked on it but didn't see the common thread
#5 was the best. I hate where Tik Tok leads me. Debauchery. Nice Sunrise photos are always appreciated. I take numerous photos off the deck over the bay onto the hills SE of my LO. The low hills on the Central Oregon coast range. A place I used to work, fish, and hunt.
if you eat, and refuse to have Any Bev... You WILL Die! It's That Simple
Interesting point about Einstein.
Feynman's wife died while he was at Los Alamos working on the Manhattan Project. He wrote her letters for many years thereafter, which he apparently just left in a drawer. I think it likely that, like Einstein, he took the relativistic mixing of space and time literally to some extent.
Suppose that in 1740 you took a ship from Europe to America, and settled in the Colonies. You would have no realistic possibility of ever seeing the people you left behind again. Assuming you could write, would you write them letters?
Of course, Jerry would never host the Oscars in this day and age.

Sorry to tantalize. Just a relic of an attempt to see if I had a tag for Rapaport. Deleted.
Yes, Einstein did literally believe time, as in a past and a future, does not exist. Many physicists believe this. It is a straightforward consequence of special relativity.
It's also nuts (IMO).
Don't blame your readers for your addiction to the CCP's adolescent app!

Ok! I wondered.
Not looking. Nope. Wouldn't be prudent.
I'll come back tomorrow.
Let me quick amend my remarks above. Some American capitalists would very much like to become Russian oligarchs in much the way that various Hanovers aspired to have some of the power of the Romanovs. It's troubling the way the tech billionaires are allying with one political party and using improper means to facilitate that party's control of government. Well, they aren't yet oligarchs and maybe the next election will find opposition officials who wish to examine and regulate this phenomenon.
I watched these with someone else who found number four "infuriating." Passionate feelings about the B-theory of time around here.
My daughter in law has become a TikTok sensation in the Philippines showing what life is like for a Filipina in Nome Alaska. She just had a spot on the largest TV network in the country about it. Loads of fun for the rest of us,

I put it up because I thought it was an interesting insight into human nature — something like: atheists in search of the afterlife. To me, it's more poignant than infuriating. Why, exactly, would it make you mad? Something like: They're appropriating Einstein for their feeble longings!
"I hate where Tik Tok leads me."
Where does it lead *you*?
I only see where it leads me. A little too much makeup tutorials and blackhead squeezing, but mostly it's pretty people showing something about themselves.
You've got to scroll quickly past stuff you don't like so it won't "learn" that's what you want. But you can't do that if you don't want TT to learn about your inmost desires. Then you're best off waiting for my intermittent TT collections.
"My daughter in law has become a TikTok sensation in the Philippines showing what life is like for a Filipina in Nome Alaska. "
Very nice.
That sounds like the sort of video I see a lot. Someone showing what it's like in a particular place — sometimes an outsider, sometimes an insider.
Sometimes it's someone from where you are talking about some other place, and sometimes it's someone from far away talking about your place.

Point 1: You don't want to eat the balut except with a chisel.
I can’t say I don’t view tictok- i just do it in Pinterest. And those dance videos!! !! You know, the horney ones.
Even if Einstein's eternalist interpretation of time were true, we still wouldn't experience life as eternal. And in both the eternalist and the presentist interpretation, someone who dies young will never see his or her children grow up.
"Why, exactly, would it make you mad?"
The person wasn't mad about appropriating Einstein or atheist longings for afterlife or anything like that. It was the assertion of the B-theory of time. Witnessing such passion over the B-theory of time was the highlight of my watching these videos.
