"Donald Trump's son sent the White House chief-of-staff frantic texts calling for his father to intervene during the Capitol riot on 6 January...."

"'He's got to condemn this shit ASAP,' the younger Trump wrote, according to US lawmaker Liz Cheney, vice-chair of the committee investigating if the former president had foreknowledge of the riot."

The link wasn't working for me, but I don't see how this is a horrible action and worthy of the breathless reporting that is to follow.
He was frantically worried about things and wanted to get things under control.

Now...let's imagine the emails and phone calls between Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Barack Obama, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and a slew of Democrats in Congress, not to mention the entirety of the national media machine, Google, Zuckerface, Apple, and Amazon during the summer of 2020.

The Democrats and media were definitely encouraging, financially aiding, supporting, equipping, instigating, and applauding the rioters, looters, arsonists, and murderers who destroyed American cities in the summer of 2020. They still are. If you don't think the Democrats had their hands all over the Billion dollar, multiple murder event, then you are simply refusing to acknowledge reality. They smiled broadly as the destruction of the cities took place. You can bet there was more than one email and phone call telling them all just what to say as the peaceful protests went on.

Achilles म्हणाले...

How did Liz Cheney obtain these texts?

If it was illegally through surveillance she and the people that did this should all go to jail and she knows it.

Were they provided by the communicators? I doubt they have permission to publicly reveal this and if they did get this sort of permission then it is illegitimate.

They think they have some sort of imprimatur to act like this.

But they don't.

The fall of the regime is coming.

rcocean म्हणाले...

Yep, and trump condemned it, and what did he get for it? Trump got impeached and tried -AFTER HE LEFT OFFICE. And he's gotten sued, and he's getting investigated by Liz Cheney, and nadler or whatever Democrat clown is heading up the committee.

Where is the justice for Ashli Babbitt, who was wroingly executed by the Capital Hill police? Why are Jan 6th protesters still awaiting trial? Why did Buffalo Robe guy get 4 years in Jail for doing nothing more than tresspassing and stealing Pelosi's Gavel?

Why is DOJ not releasing almost 5,ooo hours of security camera footage from Jan 6th? Why isn't the death of another Trump protester, who was badly beaten by the Police not investigated? why isn't Pelosi being investigated for refusing additional security? why isn't FBI being investigated to understand what role its informers and embededed agents played in rioting in the Capital?

BTW, its interesting how Red State and Conservative online sites have stayed away from this topic. Except for Tucker Carlson, the same is true of Fox News. I guess the word has come down. Don't talk about it.

I know your pain. I know you're hurt. I know you're hurt, I know your pain. I know you're hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order. We don't want anybody hurt. It's a very tough period of time. There's never been a time like this where such a thing happened where they could take it away from all of us, from me, from you, from our country. This was a fraudulent election. But we can't play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home, we love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel, but go home and go home at peace.

Whenever we actually see what went on behind the scenes, we see the Howards/readerings et al were simply piling lie upon lie upon lie.

The hoax "problem" with the phone call to the Ukrainian President (the democraticals/LLR's hid the transcript of that one for 2+ years)

The hoax "problem" with the phone call to Zuckerberg/dem lackey Raffensberger in GA (the democraticals/LLR's/NeverTrumpers hid that transcript for 6 months)

The way Schiffty-Schiff and the /democraticals/LLR/NeverTrumpers kept the under oath testimony of all the participants in the impeachment hoax under wraps for years which showed that under oath, they all admitted they had zilch/nada information regarding the non-existent Trump Russia hoax collusion.....and then, only at the very end of the Trump admin, after the election, all the documentation came out which proved the lie.

And the media went Full Hunter Biden Laptop "10% for the Big Guy" "coked up videoed sex with underage ChiCom girls provided by Hunters ChiCom handlers" mode and simply moved on to the next set of lies.

We are living in Vaclev Havel's "Green Grocer" world now with our Maoist lefties.

farmgirl म्हणाले...

I don’t think he did want “some of that activity to go on”. I think he knew how many people would show up to support his speech, but I believe the push &shove, the tunnel aggression on the part of the Capitol police &the removal of barriers and invite into the building by those very same Capitol police all took place during the speech- meaning, by the time Trump was made aware of the “insurrection”- it was way beyond anyone’s control. But hey, that’s my reading of the evidence.

What’s very sad and - not puzzling, but mysterious?- is that a 4th Capitol policeman committed suicide recently. That’s- just, wow. They are the law, they were there- in the right to serve and protect, so why why why??

Are they truly suicides? Or, is Hillary up to her usual hijinx, again?

Mike (MJB Wolf) म्हणाले...

I reject your conclusion that Trump “must have wanted” some of the out-of-control behavior because he called for peaceful protest explicitly. I can mind-read as well as you and I think he thought any excess disorder would dissipate quickly. He likely had no idea the Capitol Police and FBI would open the halls of Congress to them. We know the one guy who was running around inciting violence and urging people to “burn it down,” Ray Epps, who was never even arrested. Neither Trump nor anyone associated with him took such actions or voiced insurrectiony instructions. Every bit of evidence uncovered so far supports the Occam’s Razor version of events you can only connect Trump to the riot by supposition and mind-reading. The man has enough faults without projecting BLM-like intentions on him.

mccullough म्हणाले...

Weren’t the trespasser or vandals too busy trespassing or vandalizing to stop and see if Trump was saying anything?

Some of them had cellphones. Did they have Twitter?

Lot of assumptions going on in this investigation.

Putting aside the assumption that the trespassers or vandals would have followed a Trump stand down order, where’s the evidence they would have received it? How many would have received it? Was their a Chain of Command among these people? Guy with the Buffalo hat gets the message from the Head of Communications that Trump just tweeted stand down so then Buffalo Hat orders the heads of the five battalions to instruct their minions to go home?

This investigation is theater.

Trump should not have spouted the We Was Robbed stuff anymore than Obama should have shit on the police and promoted Black Lives Matter. The BLM adherent in Dallas killed 5 police officers.

But bad judgment is not a crime.

I also remember Democrats giving freely to bail out rioters that were arrested, keeping rioter on the streets to demolish private businesses. Democrats declared the riots were NEEDED. Democrats refused to use law enforcement to protect private property. DC Mayor forbid the National Guard on City property. Democrats live on violence.

Jan 6 there is one indisputable truth. Pelosi and Schumer were the two people that decided how much police and National Guard presence would be on hand.

3) Trump’s real offense was his campaign of lies about election fraud, which was intended to pressure GOP congressmen and senators (and Vice President Pence)into voting to reject Biden electors and installing Trump as the president. If the Democrats had the brains that God gave sand, they would go through each and every claim he made and show that it was false and he knew it was false.
