Has anyone asked??

How in-the-hell did the Haitians get to Mexico? Chartered aircraft??

The Haitians were middleclass residents of Brazil and Chile. They traveled via road except through the roadless expanse of the Darian Gap. The Darian Gap is too wild to put any roads through. The last place they want to go is back to Haiti. Who would?

My bicycle chain was skipping on the front chainwheel under load, a sign of worn teeth and stretched chain, which can then ride up to the tops of the teeth. I seem to have run out of the load of chainwheels I bought long ago but I replaced the chain (and freewheel, always needed with a new chain) and it seems to work great again. It appears to add a few mph to the speed when successive links don't hammer-stretch and eat up energy on a new chain. The feeling always disappears in a couple of days as you get used to it.

I assume with already worn chainwheel teeth that this chain will not last as long as the last one.

Driving gears wear the tops off the teeth, driven gears wear a hook into the teeth, which is why a new chain won't work with them. A new unstretched chain can't clear the tip of the hook on the next tooth when it's inside the hook of the preceding one.

things about trigger warnings
a) how come NOTHING that might be offensive or disturbing to cis white males needs a trigger?
b) how come Wanda Jacksons, "Fujiyama Mama" needs a trigger?
The rock music guy goes on and on (and on (and on)) about how offensive and disturbing the song is; and how Any and ALL Japanese would hate it....
THEN, he casually mentions; that this B side, which was unknown in America...
Was a NUMBER ONE HIT in (you Guessed it) JAPAN; for like FOREVER
Oh,
and it became a Classic Cover song in (you Guessed it) JAPAN; where, like Everybody LOVED it

So, if the people that are 'supposed to be' offended by something; LOVE it, but; you STILL give it a trigger warning... Can't you just admit; that your trigger warnings are BS?

madAsHell,

The Haitians were on the mainland a decade ago; they fled Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, and were mostly living in South America. That leaves the same question (i.e., how did people from the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere manage to fly anywhere, at any time?), but pushes it back a bit.

Ann, why is it that some of your sunrises contrive to look like the end of the world? I am looking at that one and thinking of Larry Niven's "Inconstant Moon." (For those who don't know the story, the moon suddenly appears super-bright one night -- and then, the requisite time afterward, so does Jupiter. The two main characters conclude that the Sun has gone nova, and they have a few hours to live, max. In the end, it's not as bad as that -- merely half the globe has been incinerated! Sunspots, not nova.)

The Haitians were by and large living in central and south america.

The democraticals and the LLR's invited them to enter the US illegally as part of their open borders strategy.

If you get the top and bottom round together- it’s pretty round. Most of the time they’re sold separately and are more half circles, the top round selling for more. Bottom round is suitable for ground beef or stew meat. Though I’ve read sous vide cooking can make it tender enough to eat as a steak.

On another topic today’s post at gatesofviennadotnet titled What Would Vladimir Ilyich Do? is an interesting read about something that’s been discussed here. The difficulties of organizing a decent USA revolution today. I suspect if it starts it will be triggered by a succession of lone wolves acting completely independently. Some with exit plans some with suicide plans. I do know Walmart is intending to fire a significant portion of their workforce in a few days for not getting the jab. And that some employees are saying if they see one of these former employees (once they are former) strolling into their store they’re strolling out without informing management of the arrival. Because they know management is going to deserve what happens to them when good workers are fired for political reasons.

Fuck off cunt, it is round. I put the sliced pounds of local beef into my instapot and ate some the best, most tender meat I ever ate, cunt. My dog Barney ate partially the round bone.

If you buy quarters of beef and get a package labeled round steak, then you'll know after you duckduckgo how to instapot it.

Just saw somewhere that Obama "broke ground" on the absolute monstrosity that doesn't belong in Jackson Park in the last day or so. Surely makes at least the top ten in depressing news this week if this abomination can't be stopped.

I remember the story (liked it) but long ago forgot the author and title. Thanks, Michelle!

I got an email from that library foundation. Told them to stop bothering me with their emails because I don't want to hear anything about Obama and his monstrosity.
