“with the garbage experts and civil servants who staff State and Defense today, there's no scenario in which any large scale evacuation isn't a total disaster”
Now extrapolate to spending $4.5T and fighting “climate change.”
Is there any scenario where other major initiatives aren’t total disasters? Should we start assuming that fostering disaster is the point of Dem policy?
Watched a little of Trump's rally from Insty's link. He said that the contrast between Trump and Biden was striking. I guess that's one reason why I clicked over; I didn't really believe him.
Trump hasn't missed a beat. I had no plans to support another presidential run, but I found myself second guessing that choice as I watched.
During the last administration, Daniel Dale, the CNN factchecker, was ridiculed as an anti-Trump partisan. The suggestion has continued (despite plenty of evidence) that Dale won't criticize Biden. Our old friend the political scientist/cartoonist Scott Adams referred to "Dales" in the most derisive way possible. Well;
"Death by a thousand cuts (psychology), the way a major negative change which happens slowly in many unnoticed increments is not perceived as objectionable"

Study Finds 92% Of Taliban Are Happy They Voted For Biden AUGUST 16, 2021
KABUL—According to a survey conducted by local media in Taliban-controlled Kabul, 92% of Taliban fighters are very thankful they decided to vote for Biden in the 2020 election.

"Of course I voted for Biden! Didn't everyone around here?" said Abdul Mohammed Mohammed Abdul Mohammed, a local infantry warrior who just finished storming the capital. "It was very easy. The American soldiers were just leaving garbage bags full of absentee ballots around, so we just filled them out and sent them back! Allah be praised!"
There is wide agreement among the Taliban that Biden was the right man for the job—that job being to give up the country of Afghanistan and let the Taliban take it over without a fight.
"Yes, we like Biden very much around here, and even his henchwoman, Kamil Harris," said another local militant.
The Taliban reports being in very good spirits after taking over an entire country in one day, and are looking forward to voting in America's 2022 election.

This picture is different. More panoramic? Further away from the water?
It looks more alive for some reason. Using a new filter?
