I'm getting tired of these anonymous sources like "Campaign types" "High placed Republicans" etc. I don't care. If it doesn't have a name attached to it, its fake. And good for Trump. He made the mistake of endorsing a lot of Back-stabbing assholes like Kemp, Romney, and Sasse. And all he got from them was vicious attacks. Let these RINO clowns win on their own.

rcocean म्हणाले...

I'm astounded how many people have to qualify there support for Trump. Its seems to be a class marker. The "Right sort" aren't supposed to vote for Trump. Too vulgar. Too populist. Too liked by truck drivers and the hoi polloi. Personally, I don't give a damn. I vote for politicians to do things. I'm not interested in whether they eat at MacDonald's or tweet.

He may be a public figure, and I'm no lawyer, but I can't imagine anyone can use his likeness to raise money.

I hope he bankrupts the RNC and anyone else involved with this.

I've been inundated with donation requests since the election, all centered around President Trump.
Won't give a dime until I'm sure the money will go to candidates truly supportive of a national sovereignty agenda.

I made the mistake during the election of donating to Lindsey Graham-- "the left is targeting me" narrative. Turns out he won by 16 points, raised $108 million and still has nearly $13 million in his re-election account. You can't believe any of them.

Danno म्हणाले...

I have noticed some of this in the many political emails I receive. I have quit giving to generic campaign recipients like the Republican Senate or Congressional organizations, even if they show Trump in their ad. I'll stick to giving to individual campaigns for now.

RNC, NRCC and NRSC; I know the RNC but have never heard of the other two; but I've been anticipating this, the Psuedo-Republican machine latching on to that sweet sweet brand identity. Trump is on the money, and this makes me think he's getting serious about '24. He's going to improve on what he did last time using Social Media and is ensuring that he and only he controls the message. Good for him. Ignore the spectacle; Focus on what he actually does. That's why I voted for him twice.

Jess म्हणाले...

You can't start, or reform, a party, unless you determine who can promote your message. Trump is doing the right thing, and will have the support of the tens of millions that had their votes nullified by corruption.

The GOP abandoned everyone, except those that hob-nob with the politicians at the expensive gatherings, where they pat each other on the back, while explaining how their hedge-fund investments are returning an astronomical yield. They are parasites on those that produce, condemn the Dems, while making lucrative back door deals with the same Dems, and have abandoned the laws that apply to everyone else. They're just as bad as the Democrats, and support their actions by not being aggressive in destroying those that are traitors to the United States.

rcocean म्हणाले...

I would never give a dime to any Republican political organization. I only give directly to MAGA Candidates. For 2022, I have my checkbook ready to support anyone who primaries Lisa Murkey, Thune, Cheney, and some of the other traitors.

from the article But privately GOP campaign types say it’s impossible not to use Trump’s name, as his policies are so popular with the base. If Trump really wants to help flip Congress, they argue he should be more generous. His team, however, sees this differently.

These "expletive deleted" GOP Rinos didn't stand up for Trump. Some of them deliberately and actively stabbed him in the metaphorical back. The refused to support him when the election has been obviously and blatantly stolen. They don't give a rat's ass about what the voters who elected Trump want. Screw the voters. They only care about what is in their own power hungry interests.

NOW???....NOW????!!!? they want to take the name of the man that they drug through the mud and use the goodwill that he generated with HIS base for their own money grubbing purposes?!?!?! The GOP will never get a red cent from me or my husband.

Nail on the head. People of only above average intelligence, especially people trying and failing to justify their unearned elitism, have to identify rigidly with elite perceptions. Kevin Williamson, for instance, knows he's one bad column from being sent back to his trailer park. People with actually high intelligence and sufficient willpower have no problem understanding Trump's personality for the carefully developed (yet genuine) construct that it is. It's kayfabe as a lifestyle, and few commentators would even admit to be familiar with it, so they can avoid being labelled "low-class."

One of the biggest fears a majority has is losing your tribal affiliation and castigation by your peers.

I am still getting inundated with emails and texts seeking money.

I treat them much as Calvin Coolidge did. He said most people who wanted to see him wanted something from him. He said his response was to say nothing back. After a while, he said, they run down but "If I say one word, they will start up all over again."

A woman at a dinner told him she had a bet she could make him say three words. His reply, "You lose." I say the same to the RINOs who abandoned Trump. I was skeptical about him in 2016 but not after he was elected and kept his promises in spite of everything.

Trump is what brought me back to the polls. Not the party, but the polls. Romney, Ryan, McCain, Graham, all those clowns had me turned off to the party at 2012 and did a superb job of maintaining that status quo.

Trump didn't bring me in in 2016 because he was too much of an unknown for me, policy-wise. Though I wasn't thrilled with some of his policies in his first term, he had done more to achieve stated GOP policy objectives than the actual GOP has in the past 24 years. So he got my enthusiastic vote. Do not GAF about his personality, persona, or character.

I think those dullards finally realize how many people Trump brought on board with and back to the party, but until I see some real acts of contrition, reconciliation, and admissions, they won't get my vote again.

That some people can tell the difference between a well meaning 'buffoon" who can still get things done, versus the evil clowns who are actively and LITERALLY trying to kill us and destroy the country.

Note: I don't think that Trump is a buffoon. he is a character. He wears a "character"/persona that has been honed over the years....as do we all. The entertaining jokester Trump at rallies. The ruthless businessman Trump. The personal Trump his friends and family see.

None of that matters. What matters is that he does what he says he does and that his methods get the results that WE want. WE WANT. What matters is that he loves this Country unlike 95% of the progressive/socialist Democrats who hate America, hate the Constitution that is in their way....and most important hate the PEOPLE who are impeding their march to totalitarian power.

Politicians belong to a party and try to help it succeed. Trump remains a businessman with an utterly transactional and selfish approach. He only tries to help himself and is so clumsy he even fails at that.

Lurker21 म्हणाले...

Williamson was desperate to get out of Lubbock. He doesn't want to go back and doesn't want to feel like his going to end up back there. So every little bit of what he takes for East Coast sophistication he holds with a vise grip.

His problem isn't smarts or stupidity. People pick sides and then use whatever brains and tools they have (and fail to use what they don't have) to defend the positions they've taken. More and more people lock themselves into their conceptual boxes or bubbles and don't venture outside them. If anything threatens their bubble and they don't just ignore it, there's always some argument or meme they can grab hold of to defend their bubble.

Trump isn't a party man, or he wouldn't have switched parties so often. That doesn't in itself mean that he's merely selfish or transactional. We need more people in politics who haven't enslaved themselves to a party, ideology or movement, but rather try to do what they think is right and good for the country.
