Fucking high-larious.

Of course, nobody mentions the ‘M’ word.

Most of these assholes kill themselves.

For the ones that don’t, it is much better from an intel perspective (are there accomplices?) to take them alive.

Stupidity reigns amongst the left…

But the same people that have no idea about the largest mass shooting in history are all over this one…

On this date in 1775, Patrick Henry declared “...Give me liberty, or give me death!” at the second Virginia Convention. Today’s Regressives would label Henry a “Domestic Terrorist” and be arrested for inciting an insurrection as a “white privilege”. Also on this date, in 1933, the German Reichstag passed The Enabling Act, which granted the Nazis dictatorial powers. Sadly, both events are most likely no longer covered in high school history classes. Henry also was a slave holder, another whammy making him persona non grata. These events would have been ingrained in students’ memory how fragile our freedom is. Today’s Enabling Act is HR 1, basically making our country a one party system where it counts, at the 3 branches of our federal government. These two events are ironic in history and with what our country is experiencing. I can only hope & pray that Sen. Manchin sees what destruction he will wrought in overturning the filibuster. But I am pretty sure Chuck Schumer has offered Manchin a level of pork not seen in West Virginia since Sen. Byrd was alive.

I would expect that in coming years, there will actually be a decrease in the number of average annual deaths. With so many in their 80s and 90s dying, they likely would have died anyway from something else next year or the year after. They are not so much excess deaths as they are early deaths.

Instead of looking at year-to-year deaths, if we look at five or ten year periods, I expect they will even out.

After their original makers died, despite their extensive artificial intelligence, having complete freedom, they "lacked a purpose for a long time." Mask in the car at the entrance to greet the ranger and pay the fee. Mask on the trail only when another group is approaching or passing. At the summit, a granite outcropping that looks down along floor out to Casco Bay, we stood in the sunshine with about 30 other folks, some masked, most not, all maintaining distance from each other. Everyone just loving the sun, the bird sighting, and being out and about. I'm hopeful the return to normal continues and accelerates.

I retired to Tucson AZ for the outdoors and the hiking.

Up until a month ago, 35% of the hikers I passed on mountain trails wore masks and clutched them as I passed more than 6 feet away. (We usually step to the side). Over time that number has decreased to about 20%. Age may be a factor, but 90% of the mask wearers are women.

Some may be virtue signaling, but a lot seem to be terrified of the WuFlu even though the vaccines have been widely distributed here.

Of note, I needed a mask for a gig yesterday and shopped late Sunday thinking I could pick up a 3 pack that used to be near every checkout lane.
Only saw some large boxes.
So either stores are reducing mask stock anticipating less market..or resignation to only bulk quantities.

They are not fudges in that sense, Soup. What I am saying is that deaths are counted via positive tests for people who subsequently die. A lot of states only test you if you have actual symptoms. Because I do the data on the state level, I notice this- some states have low levels of cases, but then you go look at their positivity rate and it is still in the 20-30% range. States like California and New York run ridiculous numbers of tests, and so have positivity rates down below 3%, but they are still reporting 2-5 new cases/day. All I am saying is that New York is probably overcounting COVID deaths and states like North Dakota or South Dakota has undercounted them. I expect that when the final tallies are done down to the state level for excess deaths, as long as we can sort out the lockdown caused excess, we will likely see that NY and NJ are no worse than CA, TX, or FL.

I would be, but some regard the unvaxxed as dangerous. I don't see how - they won't get it from me and I won't get it from them. They might get it but that's on them. I just got my second shot and it gave me a feeling of confidence in the world - I won't get covid and have people blaming me and I won't spread it and have people blaming me. (If only I weren't white, no one could blame me at all but I realize I am to blame or might be blamed for Christianity, hegemony, the patriarchy, meat eating, pollution and Western Civilization. That might seem a lot but I wear it all lightly.) While I was sitting in the room after the shot (Pfizer) I looked around and the health care workers were scrubbing chairs and the people were mostly sitting silently, separately, waiting to see if they fell over. I looked outside and taxis were pulling up and the taxi drivers were scrubbing windows. I want to forget it all and eat out in a nice place with everyone unmasked and laughing. The way we were.

Covid morality questions:

I have no intention of getting the vaccine. Can't prove I'm already covid resistant, but I have been closely exposed twice and the "highly infections" dreaded covid virus has failed to catch me. My wife had all the symptoms in February 2020- when the dreaded covid wasn't here according to "experts". Since been confirmed through stored biological samples it's been in the USA since no later than November 2019. But in Feb 2020 there were no tests for it anyhow, so along with many others, she had what was called by non-doctors as The Crud That Won't Go Away. I gave her something I read about on another blog- 3 doses of 100,000 IU Vitamin D, 50 mg zinc, and a quercetin 8 hours apart. Also gave it to my 2 sons diagnosed with it. The youngest took it as soon as the doctor said you have it. He wasn't tested. The worst he got was the signature loss of taste and smell. The older one wouldn't take it until they swabbed him. Which took 2 days for an appointment. It was negative. And 3 days later he was in the ER. Oxygen overnight. Swab from hospital- negative. Dictator Cuomo, that noted medical expert and practitioner, at the time forbade doctors and hospitals from giving anyone a 3rd test, when the test at the time was noted for producing more false negatives than positives. He, like me, is a blood donor. His next donation- positive for dreaded covid antibodies. I've done 4 now since the covidiocy began- 0 for 4. Both sons did their isolation in out home, where neither my wife nor I practiced masking and glove wearing. BTW, it's a 40 minute drive to the hospital from my house- the joys of rural living. I drove my son to the ER without either of us in masks, and home the next morning. If I was going to get it- I'd have gotten it.

That's the one thing all the panic mongers seem to ignore about the dreaded covid. Even under ideal circumstance- like shipboard, this superinfectious virus gets a maximum 30% of the exposed population infected. We know that from the Diamond Princess and the USS Theodore Roosevelt debacle. And as for the TR, over 170 of those who did test positive never displayed any symptoms at all. So- if your body fights off a virus to the extent you never show any symptoms- were you ever really sick?

So does the decision by my wife and I, the two sons who had the dreaded covid, and the other two sons, one former Army, the other retired, to NOT get the dreaded covid vaccine make us anti-vaxxers? Or people making carefully thought out decisions based on science, statistics, and personal circumstances and knowledge?

I had the flu shot last year. And previous years. I've had the shingles shot. The pneumonia vaccine. Doctor pointed to evidence that an MMR booster would be a good idea. Had that. Tetanus every 10 years or so.

BTW, I get the flu shot for 2 reasons. 1. I'm required to as part of my job. 2. It's based on what appears to be coming out of Asia for the next flu go-round. Let's be honest, that's where most seasonal flus start from. If the flu shot were based on what went around LAST YEAR and already burned out, I wouldn't get it. And believe me, I could find a reason to bypass the job requirement. The dreaded covid vaccine? It's being given for a disease that would have already run it's course but for government intervention, and since all the scaredy cats are getting it- lining up voluntarily for an experimental vaccine with unknown long term side effects, well, there's no actual need to get it. And it's almost burned out now. It's only government intervention that's kept it around this long.

I'm doing some reading about angry white man rifles. Apparently there is some controversy over the Colt LE6920 and the Colt SP6920 circa 2010-2012. As near as I can tell, the SP (sporter) was priced significantly lower than the LE (law enforcement) at the time, but the SP was the exact same angry white man rifle and was only in roll stamp production for a few months after the original angry white man rifle ban expired. Many angry white men paid the premium for the bad assness of the LE. It would seem that my redneck cousin's daughter's boyfriend, who doesn't seem all that angry, although he is a Person of White, ended up with what is the much more collectable of the angry white man's rifle.

Daily Mail UPDATED: 01:02 EDT, 24 March 2021

Yale psychiatry professor sues the university for firing her after she tweeted that Trump supporters suffered 'shared psychosis' and Alan Dershowitz had 'taken on Trump's symptoms by contagion'

Dr Brandy Lee, a former faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry in School of Medicine, filed a complaint against the Yale Monday

She claims that she was unlawfully terminated 'due to her exercise of free speech' after she said Donald Trump's supporters suffered 'shared psychosis'

Dr Lee has been a vocal critic of Trump over the years, notably sending a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2019

She added that lawyer Alan Dershowitz, a member of Trump's legal team, had 'wholly taken on Trump's symptoms by contagion'

I was just looking him up at IMDB, trying to find the name of one of his movies ("No Way to Treat a Lady" although I probably remember it more for Rod Steiger's performance than Segal's) and I'm amazed at Segal's body of work seeing it listed altogether like that.

Plus he played the banjo. And he was a US Army vet. Rest in peace Mr. Segal. I am going to miss you.

I read about things like this and think to myself, I'm glad I'm not in charge of solving THAT problem.

I clicked on an article over at the BBC (I get a lot of my news, what I don't pick up here or at Instapundit, from foreign news websites), titled "The World's Most Misunderstood Novel" and it's about "The Great Gatsby" so I think, ok this might be interesting although I'm not sure I've read that book or if I did it was a long time ago but I know kind of what it's about, except I probably don't, right? I mean, if it's the world most misunderstood novel. Which, for me, it will remain that because I got a few paragraphs in and decided, I can't absorb this at 4 AM in the morning.

According to another article I just read/skimmed in the BBC's "Culture" section, "Tristram Shandy" by Laurence Sterne is the best comic novel ever written. I've read that book, in college, and while I'd have to refresh my recollection as to what it was about and, therefore, currently have no opinion as to whether or not it's the best comic novel ever written, I wonder is anybody reading that kind of book in college anymore, as a part of a curriculum I mean. Or is it taught only to "educate" about white supremacy and toxic masculinity.

For my money, the best comic novel ever written is "Apathy and other Small Victories" by Paul Neilan. But I'm sure nobody's teaching that anywhere.

Every evangelical church seems to have one, even tiny churches sponsor home-schooling groups and online academies with group activities. Over the last 20 years my own church's school, starting as a preschool program, has added grades every couple of years. Next fall we add 9th grade.

My former church in Iowa, within a network of other like-minded churches, sponsors what is essentially a college-level seminary.
