Said Maggie Haberman, quoted in "'It Is Roiling Him': Reporter Maggie Haberman Unpacks Trump's Refusal To Admit He Lost" (NPR)(from an episode if "Fresh Air").
११ डिसेंबर, २०२०
"The president was very displeased by the black rivulets of sweat running down Giuliani's face at the press conference."
"But the president has a very long relationship with Rudy Giuliani; he's never going to cut ties with him. He's really not. And Giuliani has convinced the president that it's activist judges or it's this one or it's that one who are thwarting them — and not that it's at all Giuliani's fault. Giuliani is saying to the president what the president wants to hear, which is that the president was robbed."

Sounds like the press is trying to give Trump cover to blame his counsel and exit while saving a little face.
Yeah there is serious analysis of the election fraud going on at the NYT.
Super serious.
yes, she would have insight,
https://thefederalist.com/tag/maggie-haberman/
why should i believe anything the NYT says about Trump? They've lied about him for 4 years!
The Democrat Pravda Times? Straight up propaganda
Rudy is the embarrassing AV guy from social sciences class. Didn't John Hughes make this movie a few decades ago? Trump's loyalty makes him the hero who's named King of the Prom.
Millions of Americans understand the truth.
The media and the corrupt leftwing machine pimped Hillary's big lie about Russian interference in her coronation.
Up next - the bogus impeachment over ASKING about Biden's family corruption. Fake whistle-blowers who were never on a the phone with Trump. Plain to see why - the left MUST cover their own corrupt people - because Biden family is just the tip of the iceberg.
The economy was humming along... then Chinese virus shows up to kill it... and aid the engineering of mail-in ballots, fake ballots, and possibly computer vote-switching (all admitted to by people who work for Dominion) etc... all sorts of witnesses ignored by the dominate progressive left wing democrat State run media.
Oh... THAT Haberman. The woman who played Lambchop to The Pantsuited Pantload’s Shari Lewis.
These articles from the NYT's and your all's treatment of this election just make civil war more likely.
Eighteen States AGs and multiple delegations from state legislative bodies (including PA!) are not figments of Rudy's imagination.
Oh, and,
"Black rivulets of sweat" is
RAAAAAAAAAAACISSSSSSSSSST.
Seriously, what is MH talking about? Unless RG is a coal miner how does he have black rivulets of sweat?
Rudy did what Trump wanted.
Rudy wants that piece of $200 million litigation fundraising.
Haberman is stating as fact her opinions about Trump’s motivations and personal beliefs.
Unless Trump told her his thinking, this is just speculation.
"Seriously, what is MH talking about? Unless RG is a coal miner how does he have black rivulets of sweat?"
Hair dye...
Haberman reported as fact what unnamed sources told her about Russian Collusion.
Those facts were disproved. Haberman as never acknowledged this, much less stated how she was duped by her sources.
Whatever helps Maggie get through the days and nights, I guess.
I still think Giuliani would have done better than McCain in 08. Maybe not beat Obama, but he would have made it closer. LOL at all the whiners back then who insisted he wasn't conservative enough and then let Captain RINO take the win.
Haberman has the best sources for what's going on in the WH and in Trump's brain.
You'd have to be a moron to believe MH has ANY insight into what Trump is thinking.
Yeah, Biden boasted that he cheated. Trump should be able to admit that he lost.
So the "activist judges" are the ones that don't overturn state legislatures or throw out elections?

I see the DNC memo has gone out this morning.
"The president was very displeased by the black rivulets of sweat running down Giuliani's face at the press conference. But the president has a very long relationship with Rudy Giuliani; he's never going to cut ties with him.
After all this time, if the President were displeased with someone, everyone would know it. I don't think a DNC stenographer from NPR would be the place to go for facts any anything up to and including is rain wet and does the sun set.

Judges that read and apply laws as written are what you are calling activist.
Mostly it is because you cannot make any actual logical arguments because you are stupid and you are wrong.
Judges that make last minute changes to election laws right before an election are considered "activist."
The fact that these judges did not recuse themselves from challenges to these rulings just makes them corrupt.
Judges that mediate "settlements" between democrat lawyers and corrupt Secretaries of State "interpreting" election laws in ways that do not match the intent of the laws legislatures passed are not really activist.
They are just evil and corrupt.
You call yourself a lawyer. If you actually are then you are either stupid or you don't believe in the ethical standards for your profession that have been around for decades if not centuries.
Maggie Haberman has one story to write and she's sticking to it.
Yes, I believe everything "Maggie Haberman" publishes. LOL - what a discredited former reporter to cite as a credible source. The profession, whenever that was, has fallen into such a gutter by their hate for President Trump they'll never regain the public's trust. Similar to what we are experiencing now with our National Elections - people are tired of the 'Elites' only time will decide the 'Elites' survival just like history has exhibited time and time again.
Not everything the NYT says is a lie.
From NPR, the network that in October, just a couple of weeks before the election, stated regarding the Hunter Biden laptop and all of the info running around the Biden Crime Family: “We don't want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don't want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions."
Then suddenly yesterday, weeks after the election, found the nerve to play like they're a news organization and reported on a bit of it.
There has been a massive amount of fraud in this past election. But the biggest fraud of all is the press hiding, covering, refusing to report on the Biden Crime Family even when the facts were right there laid out for them. From Social Media to the Corporate Media- they all worked hand in hand to hide this from the public.
And now they want to lay this on Trump as a personal problem of his? There is nothing Maggie Haberman, or NPR or any of them can say that I will swallow ever again. Nothing. If tell me the sun came up in the East, I'm going to confirm it for myself. They are, to use their own words, a waste of time.
Gullible Althouse believes anything at all written by Maggie Haberman?
It would really be good for you to admit that not every woman is just really, really WUN-derful at everything she does.
The question Trump asks isn't who had more votes after the vote counting, it is simply how many legal votes were cast? If the Repubs need to get into mail-in ballot harvesting, post-vote ballot correcting, non-auditable vote additions at counting sites, computer algorithmic control of vote totals, and addition of fake votes to the count totals, the Repub Party can save on all that campaign activity it used to do. Just like Joe did this time.
NPR reporting from inside people's heads again.
Imagine what would be left of NPR's reporting if they could no longer cherry-pick their anecdotes to make it look like the world supports their opinions, and they couldn't pretend to know what other people's motives are. There isn't much else on the news over there.
Last I checked. I admit I don't go over much anymore. But I am moderately often in places or with people where overhearing NPR is unavoidable.
Black Rivulets Matter
@AVI,
NPR reporting from inside people's heads again.
I used to listen to NPR all the time, even after I moved to the Right. But after Trump won, they just went bazoo. Even my wife, who was no where near as politically rabid as me, said "They've just got Trump on the brain! Everything is Trump, Trump, Trump!". She stopped listening, too.
I now listen to the local conservative talk radio station, which I sarcastically dub "National Fascist Radio".

National Propaganda Radio used to be a public service.
That said, more like rarefied air. Did he wear a skinny or wide tie?

Why would I "catch up" with drivel to be seen posted by every other left wing wacko?
You lefties are like a school of fish. No thought. Just turn to avoid the next lefty fish.

I've been calling NPR "National Propaganda Radio" for a while now.
My Trump-hating family members don't like that.
I don't know why you do what you do, Michael K. Can't answer that question.
For The Times Giuliani is to head and hair dye as Romney is to car and dog and carrier. I expect that whenever Rudy is mentioned reference to the black rivulets of sweat will be mandatory. It also goes with the "swarthy Eyetalian" stereotype, but there probably aren't any Italians left working at the times who could point that out.
I see Trump is also displeased that the FDA is not rushing to approve the vaccine. Wapo reports that Trump asked for Hahns resig. today if he can’t approve it today vs tomorrow. And Trump is undermining the vaccine because of this. Of course.

There are either common principles or there aren't.
If you do not accept due process then our views of community are incompatible.
A click on Althouse's Maggie Haberman tag will show that she is well aware of Habermen's magical mind reading skills. She often points out the questionable nature of MH's "reporting" on Trump's thinking and his relationships with his staff.
She didn't do that on this post but I doubt that she has forgotten how unreliable the gossipy Haberman is.
On the other hand, the Times and NPR have been her political touchstones for her entire life and, like Fox Mulder, she "wants to believe," so it must be difficult to acknowledge the fakery and dishonesty on a regular basis.
Sometimes she seems to see through the bullshit and says as much but other times she regresses and just sticks another pin in the map and reaches for the red string.
Frustrating for those looking for consistency - but it draws a crowd.
“So the "activist judges" are the ones that don't overturn state legislatures or throw out elections?”
Justice Brian Hagedorn, Republican, conservative, active in the Federalist Society, an “activist” for Democrats and liberals, huh? The guy who helped Scott Walker with that “Budget Repair Bill” in 2011. Democrats sure did love that one. Has to make one wonder what universe Trumpists live in.

You didn't see the unappetizing photos spread all over the media?
Unless RG is a coal miner how does he have black rivulets of sweat?"
That one went home for lunch!
Cook knows that the media seized on the sweat and ran with it to help lessen their obvious ploy of totally ignoring the targeted election fraud perpetrated by their morals/ethics deficient Democrat masters.
School of fish with the blinkers on
All going the same direction
Now that we all think alike
We don’t need elections.
Why do people read columnists like Haberman?
In the old days, before the internet, a columnist might have inside information from sources or friends.
Now all you get is the opinion of a person who has an opinion much like the opinion of anyone else. There are no unique or especially good arguments made in favor or against some policy change.
It is amazing the opinions and beliefs imbibed from the internet now that folks stop reading journalism.
