Get ready, it's coming: The Equinox and the way Joe Biden can bring Barack Obama back as President of the United States before winter ends!

Here's this morning's sunrise, photographed at 6:50:

The actual sunrise time was 6:45, but more interesting than that is that The Equinox is coming at 8:30 CDT this morning.

But if politics interests you more than nature, you'll want to hang on for my wonderful plan for Joe Biden to bring back our friend, the pleasantest President, Barack Obama. And don't worry about Kamala Harris. I have a wonderful place for her. Explanation coming in my next post, but go ahead and speculate, and you'll see it too.

Does it depend on what the meaning of "is" is?

>the pleasantest President

That would be Bush 2.

Not the "get in their faces and punch back twice as hard" guy, thanks very much.

I sincerely hope you are just trying to trigger incredulous responses from your commentary.

CWJ म्हणाले...

Ah yes. The autumn equinox. That's one of the two days a year where if you stand Joe Biden up by himself facing north-south, he won't fall over.

Mikey NTH म्हणाले...

Speculate: Joe Biden is sworn in, resigns, and Kamala Harris upon being sworn president brings in Barack Obama as her vice president.

All he has to do is stay in the basement till Groundhog Day then we get six more weeks of Obama!

Mike of Snoqualmie म्हणाले...

Joe's going to adapt Barrack as his son. Then he'll designate Barrak as his successor. Joe will resign and Barrack will become President.

Oh, sorry! That's how it worked in Emperial Rome. That's what Democrats want, though.

Kay म्हणाले...

I wonder if your plan is to have Obama run as Biden’s VP? I’ve mentioned it before and though it’s not a surefire way to win, nor is it necessarily a good idea, I think it’s the only way that Biden can win.

Leland म्हणाले...

There is no reason why Obama can't be Chief of Staff.

AllenS म्हणाले...

I doubt if Barack Hussein Obama wants much of anything to do with Joseph Robinette Biden. Obama must look at Slow Joe, and think: "He's worse than an affirmative action hire."

Craig म्हणाले...

Biden's "Let me be clear" tweet the other day was a tell.

Mrs. X म्हणाले...

Pleasantest? Puhleeeze. But here goes:
Joe wins, appoints Obama Secretary of State.
Joe resigns.
Kamala, Nancy and head of senate are held at gunpoint at an undisclosed location for the necessary amount of time.
Obama is president again.

Kay म्हणाले...

And if I am correct, then I’m also guessing you propose Harris becomes the SC nominee?

Ralph L म्हणाले...

Elect BO as Speaker of the House, nominate Kamaltoe to SCOTUS, and quit. Does that bypass the term limit amendment?

Temujin म्हणाले...

Barack Obama may have indeed been the pleasantest President. In the same sense that Chauncey Gardiner was the pleasantest movie character.

No speculation on what to do about Barack or Kamala.

Thought about turning on the pool heater today.

"oe's going to adapt Barrack as his son. “

I don’t think that Barrack will agree to be his bag man they way his son has.

"That would be Bush 2.”

Fuck that asshole. Him, Romney, and McCain were just the deep state in sheep’s clothing.

Oso Negro म्हणाले...

So pleasant! While despoiling nations, running guns, organizing coups against Trump.

Retail Lawyer म्हणाले...

Why would Obama want to be president again? He damaged the country enough to make the job even more difficult. Its all downhill from here, he is smart enough to know to quit when you're ahead.

It is now officially Autumn. Where I am the leaves are not yet brown and the sky is not grey. Surf was crashing bigly this morning, I guess a storm of some size passed offshore yesterday and over night.

Rick म्हणाले...

the pleasantest President

The man who thinks non-leftist Dem voters are bitter clingers, Republicans oppose his plans due to racism, and America needs to be fundamentally changed by people getting in each others faces is not just pleasant but the most pleasant President? Absurd. They don't call it the Ivory Tower for nothing. It's beyond bizarre for today's unrest to trigger desire for Obama when today's unrest is his legacy by normalizing that not getting your way justifies freakouts.

Give me Reagan, our most optimistic modern President who expressed his opposition to foreign enemies.

Color bursting out in the forests, apple picking bakeoff, breaking the winter clothes out of the cedar closet, wetsuits in the pond @64F last night. Can't wait to rake up all them leaves to get in shape for snow shoveling.

The equinox, and my birthday! I'm a Virgo/Libra, which means I love justice.

BUMBLE BEE म्हणाले...

NO! STOP! No Autumnal Equinox can be celebrated when a Supreme Court Justice dies in an election year, when that Justice dies on Rosh Hashana! It's only fair.

We have two equinoxes a year, every year. We have only half as many solstices.

We have less than one perihelion per year. Won't any politician do something about the unequal distribution of astronomical phenomena?!?

Big Mike म्हणाले...

OK, I assume that someone in the comments to the later post has figured this out, but it's almost 11 pm my local time, and there are over 200 comments on that post, which I don't have time to read, so here I go.

A lawprof would never let you get away with considering only part of a statute or constitutional provision. In addition to what Althouse quoted, about no one being elected President more than twice, the Amendment says: "and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." (1) BHO has "held the office of President", he has not merely "acted as President for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected", so he cannot be (2) "elected to the office of the President more than once". But he HAS ALREADY been "elected to the office of the President more than once". Accordingly, he is disqualified from being appointed to the Presidency.

Besides, if they tried to do that, there would be an insurrection.
