Damn those white Anglo Saxon Protestants, scary people.

Mike (MJB Wolf) म्हणाले...

It appears the little wasps are organizing into one giant wasp but they can’t possibly know what their doing. Or can they?

Temujin म्हणाले...

2020 continues to drop large hints about something.

Dust Bunny Queen म्हणाले...

eeeeek!!!

How long did it take for that to build before anyone noticed?

CWJ म्हणाले...

Wasps or hornets? I think the latter.

Lyle Sanford, RMT म्हणाले...

I'm with CWJ - looks like a hornet's nest.

Amadeus 48 म्हणाले...

He needs to move those horns up to the roofline.

Deb म्हणाले...

There's one of those right outside our bathroom window on the second floor. It's about that size. I've been assured there is no current activity.

Quatermass and the Pit / The Devil's Image: 2020?

"The horned devil. Don't look at it!"

"The focus of all that's happening - the cause... Oh, God."

This is a keeper.

Here's the Shockingly Small Number of People Who Died From Only the Coronavirus

"out of the 161,392 deaths in the CDC data, just six percent, about 9,700 deaths, were attributed to the coronavirus alone. According to the CDC, the other 94 percent had an average of 2.6 additional conditions or causes of deaths, such as heart disease, diabetes, and sepsis.

Instead of protecting the vulnerable – the elderly in nursing homes and those with comorbidities – health "experts" recommended locking everyone up and prescribing for Americans a wide range of ailments such as depression, suicide, missed early cancer screenings, unemployment, substance abuse, and poverty."

if you look at his twitter feed - it's filled with Photoshop. otherwise , we might want to beware - there is a monster who will eat our galaxy.... soon. he's hungry.

Birkel म्हणाले...

The sprays propel 30 feet these days.

That's when the duty to retreat comes into play.

Hornets are a species of Wasp. So, either answer would be correct...

richlb म्हणाले...

The skull below it ain't helping either.

CWJ म्हणाले...

Scotty, would that be like -

Humans or apes?

Humans are a species of ape. So, either answer would be correct.

Posted tongue in cheek and with apologies to any creationists in the commentariate.

stevew म्हणाले...

That's a beauty!

The sprays they make these days are terrific and effective. As Birkel says, it can be directed from a safe distance. From experience I recommend evening or, better yet, early morning application. Ideally the air temp will have fallen overnight and the little bastards will be a bit logy. They are going to be pissed off when you first spray!

mockturtle म्हणाले...

It may be photoshopped but:
1. It's exactly the place they would build a nest
2. The light bulbs are an unsatisfactory substrate on which to build so would be avoided

DavidD म्हणाले...

Why is the skull off-center? That’s what would keep me up at night.

Besides, the nest looks too perfect to be real.

hombre म्हणाले...

Mothballs. If the owner can get close enough, porous bags filled with mothball hung by the nests will drive them away.

Why would anyone wish to destroy this architectural masterpiece?

Why would anyone wish to destroy this architectural masterpiece?

I know! It is really cool looking.

If you could get rid of the wasps/hornets and keep the hive, that would be great.

mikee म्हणाले...

The wasps killed a cow already! And hung its head up as a trophy! Run for your lives.

Rusty म्हणाले...

War was declared upon me by some ground wasps when I went to remove my canoe. I was stung about ten times. Me and the Kaiser, but mostly me, declared war on the wasps and immediately mobilized our troops, me, and used chemical weapons to subdue the enemy. And by subdue I mean kill them all.

mockturtle म्हणाले...

CBQ suggests: If you could get rid of the wasps/hornets and keep the hive, that would be great.

You can. Spraying the nest doesn't destroy it. It just kills the inhabitants and deters the absentees from coming back. That said, I usually do destroy the nests but this one is worth keeping.

Bunkypotatohead म्हणाले...

Maybe you could get Antifa to come burn it away.
As long as they stop at the nest.

The rule of Lemnity म्हणाले...

Are we still (in 2020) saying insects have no politics?

The answer is Yes. -"Insects are very brutal, they have no compassion, no compromise. We can't trust the insect."

Now more than ever.

Asked and answered.

I cut down a paper wasp nest out of a tree last summer. Coolest thing ever. The layers of thin paper are amazing. It was abandoned. I kept it to show the neighbor kids.

It was large but it did not resemble that bad photo-shop seem above. The tell is that weird mucky gray and the face he put on it. The paper is much finer than that.

Yellow jackets live in the ground, is that is what is meant by ground wasps? Yellow jackets will attack you if you disturb their nest, usually by stepping on their entrance hole. They also find lawnmowers very disturbing. But just buzzing around they will not bother you. Mud(Dirt)Dobber wasps will not sting you unless you actually try to kill them, or step on them barefooted. Black paper wasps are asshoe. They will sting you for no reason, just because they can. Destroy their nest as soon as you find it.
